We went in for an early dinner, we were greeted warmly and sat. The waitress took our drink order, explained menu's, specials. My wife ordered the French Onion soup appetizer and the Greek wrap with blood orange dressed salad. I the French Onion soup and meatloaf dinner. All were delicious and fresh, service was most attentive and very kind and knowledgeable. We found it to be a truly enjoyable experience and have found a new "fave" when in the Franklin area!!! read more

Had the best time here last night. The restaurant was filled when we walked in but the lovely hostess was able to snag us a seat. Their wine selection is phenomenal and their drinks looked great. We ordered the pretzel- which came topped with yummy cheese and sweet jalapeños. Fabulous. I had a Caesar with perfectly cooked steak. My husband had the French dip- which he could not have been happier with. The only thing we didn't love were the Tater tots. My husband had the warm cookie (peanut butter) and ice cream for dessert. It was delicious. The wait staff was lovely and our waitress couldn't have been better. If we're ever in Franklin we will be back. read more

My daughter and I got takeout from there yesterday. She got some kind of sandwich with onion ring things on it with dipping sauce and a side. I got a pizza. Their online menu is very conflicting. There's a ton of different versions of it. It is not up-to-date. I made a mistake getting the pizza because on their menu they don't say how big the pizzas are. So I was very disappointed when I got a personalized size pizza for probably what you would pay for a large. Definitely won't be getting pizza there again. read more

Absolutely excellent service from our waitress tonight. She brought our little golden doodle some water, explained the specials and some of her favorite dishes. I'm pretty happy with our meal overall. I got the salmon salad, good portion with a generous slab of salmon. . The hummus plate that I got for an appetizer was good but if I could change a few things, i'd do carrot slices and not little shavings so that I could dip in the hummus. The bread was just sitting on top of the hummus, making it rather messy and difficult to add the ingredients to the bread. The bread was toasted and warm which was nice. So maybe refining that dish a bit would be my suggestion. We sat outside and it was really nicely shaded with a good breeze. A few tables in the alley way to choose from. The inside looked nice but since we had our dog, we had just one option. Overall, I'd come back to eat here. Thanks for a nice dining experience. read more

This place is Amazing we were going to a concert in Titusville and found this place on Yelp. We came early so we were able to sit at the bar which only has seating for 4 or 5 which was great our bartender/ waitress Moira was very informative and gave us great recommendations we really enjoyed the service and attention which were great. We both had a salad which was fresh and very good we had the Salmon and the Pork Chop it's huge and flavorful make sure to get the side veggies amazing. The place is small but cute very inviting will be back soon. Please update your website read more

Cool bougie ambience. Friendly, relatable server. Food was outstanding--on par with the best restaurants I've ever been to in bigger cities like D.C. I would totally go back if I were in Franklin again. (Side note: Loved Franklin's well-preserved historic main street!) read more

Spiders everywhere outside. Dark alley to sit in no lights working. Wtf. Nobody spraying or cleaning webs etc. Not as smart as the spiders. Rediculous. They have a giant baked potato, SCAM SCAM SCAM ! LMAO read more

We had great service and great food!! A bit pricey. But for a special occasion, this is the perfect choice.

Food taste is way above average. Inside of the place is nice and looks inviting Services just a tiny bit slow as we were one of a few customer parties. Easy parking read more

Delightful pot roast dinner. Server Tawnya was very attentive. Chef Danielle came to check and make sure everything was right.

Splendid! I knew this place was going to be awesome given just a bit of time! The hostess greeted us amid multiple larger parties waiting, and directed us to seats at the bar because all of the tables were full. Our server arrived quickly, and she was familiar with the menu. She recommended multiple items that she had tried; we opted for the fillet and the pork chop. While we were making "foodie talk" with the server, another staff member offered to let the kitchen know we had ordered a pork chop since they were almost out of them (yay teamwork!). We skipped apps due to time constraints, and our meals arrived quickly and nicely presented. The roasted potatoes, mac 'n cheese, and brussels were all perfection. My husband and I both agreed the steak and the pork chop were the best we've had locally. The chef stopped to chat for a few minutes, and our server checked in frequently throughout our meal. I knew they would overcome the new restaurant hurdles quickly. It's still a bit noisy, but when everything else about the meal is perfect, that's easily overlooked. By far one of the most eclectic and interesting menus in Venango County, and now the service is on par with the food. Highest recommendation. read more

One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Every tapas, every meal was delicious. Service was great and management was great when one meal took longer than the rest. Can't wait to go back. Love the music and set up, just wish it was big enough for a full bar. read more

Our first time at this lovely decorated restaurant in Franklin. The atmosphere was warm, our server was friendly, and the food was out of this world. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and everything was delicious. This is a must-visit if you're in NW PA! read more

Made reservations for a large party on a Friday night. The place is small but in an adorable stylish way. They were able to utilize all of the space. The hostess booth is located by the alley entrance which is no biggie just a bit different than what people are used to. The food was amazing!!! We had the tamale sharables and we practically licked the plate clean. I ordered the pork chop and added cooked mushrooms. It was honestly the best pork chop I've ever eaten! Everyone loved their food and desserts! read more

This was our second time eating at the Smoke Cantina , as a family. This will not be the last. The food is excellent, service top notch and environment very tastefully decorated. Both times there, we had such a great experience that I chose to commend the manager and cook. We have all had something different both times there and have not been disappointed with any of the entrees we chose. The first time there, the manager recommended the cheesecake for dessert. It was so good we had to get it again and will when we return for another meal. It is so nice to have options of places to go and have a great meal in our little home town. read more

We had french onion soup, cantina salads, a pork chop dinner and a cod + crab cake special. My husband raved about the pork chop and the gluten free chocolate cake in a mug. I thought the pork chop was very good but didn't measure up to my favorite (Georgetown Eats in Volant PA). He also loved the dessert. My favorite was the cantina salad. I had subbed out the mixed greens for romaine and everything about it was perfect! read more

We came to Franklin to celebrate the wedding of our son and stopped into Smoke Cantina for dinner when we arrived late in the day. The choices of wine, beer, and mixed cocktails was pretty impressive for a small place in a small town. There were varied items on the menu from Tapas plates to larger Ramen and Rice bowls to Prime Rib. The food arrived in a manner that allowed us to enjoy the meal, and not feel rushed, even for the late hour. The dessert was fantastic too! Our waitstaff was prompt but didn't hover. In fact we enjoyed it so much that we told our family, who arrived the next night, to definitely meet there for dinner (we caught up with them after the rehearsal dinner). Stephanie waited on us and did a great job ensuring that we had what we needed from food for some and beverages for all. We would highly recommend this restaraunt to anyone finding themselves in this quaint little town. read more

The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. The service is great. The food was fabulous. App, drink, and dinner was $50, which I feel is more than fair for the quality of food and service. read more

Atmosphere: good. Food: excellent, though menu is very limited. Service: Needs to catch up with the menu prices. I ordered the Crab sandwich, asked for it open faced though (didn't want all that bread). It was nicely presented, very meaty, and delicious. It came with one side: I got the Cowboy Beans - a little spicy for my palate, but good. There were two other parties (it was later than lunchtime but earlier than dinnertime), and two servers. Mine (a) was pleasant enough - good (b) got my order correct - good. (c) disappeared until a bit after I was done eating (I was back to reading my book) - not good. No drop by to see if everything was OK. Next I saw her, she asked me if I was ready for my check - still no ask if everything was OK, no question as to if I wanted anything else (like dessert or coffee). And then, she dropped the check smack dab in front of me, where my plate had been. Like first mentioned, the service needs to catch up with the menu prices - the sandwich was $22. read more

Cute place. Our waitress seemed a bit snooty. Food was good, but portions are on the small side. The tables are way too close together. You feel like you are having dinner with those on either side of you. Like, we literally said hi to the people sitting there when we sat down, because they were inches from us. read more

Nice Restaurant, great friendly service, fantastic food. Very well done and a hidden gem that is a great for the community.

Take a break from the area wineries, distilleries and taverns and step into Smoke Cantina. This restaurant presents with a sharp, clean contemporary look yet has comfortable ambience. The menu is full of fresh and delicious offerings. We enjoyed their tender pulled pork sandwich stuffed with "Cheesy" mac n cheese and a smattering of crushed potato chips. The sandwich was accompanied by Cowboy beans mixed with Chorizo which gave it a little kick. Our server was so nice. We will be back for the smashburgers and pierogis!!! read more

This restaurant deserves the absolute best 5 star rating! What a find in downtown Franklin.their menu is creative without being too crazy. The meals we ordered (poblano burger w/salad $ PorkBelly BLT w/chicken poblano soup) were delicious. Portions were spot on. Service was friendly and attentive, without hovering. We will definitely return for dinner service, when possible! read more

We ordered as a group for pickup, it was okay, nothing great. Too fancy if we're being honest. My chicken sandwich was mostly greens, my gluten free bun was moldy, it wasn't anything special. The sides were also meh, salad and fruit aren't great options. We most likely won't order again. read more

Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere, and staff.. .I couldn't love this place anymore than I do already.

I had the best meal I have ever had last night. Every item was absolutely delicious! I tasted the tamales (they were amazing) and had the crab stuffed shrimp. No. Fillers, all crab, they were perfect. Welcoming, personable wait staff. All over 5 stars! read more

Smoke Cantina (The Homegrown Kitchen, LLC.) is a gem. The back story is wonderful - a young chef who opened restaurants around the world comes home with her family and opens a fantastic destination, in her home town, for all to enjoy. We were there on a Saturday evening and the atmosphere was very comfortable with no rushed service or pompous attitudes. We were a table of four and ordered the Provoleta and two Omakase Trios to share. The taste combination of the Provoleta was a perfect dance on the taste buds and each seafood piece on the Trio was fresh and perfectly prepared. On this night (and maybe always) there was a crab cake on the trio and it was so moist and delicious I have to go back and have them as an entree. We then moved into the Famous French Dip, the Tender Boneless Short Ribs, the Prime Filet (prepared perfectly) and the Handcut Berkshire Pork Chop. I was lucky enough to taste a few of the entrees at the table and WOW!!! I have never had a pork chop that moist, the filet was perfect and my short ribs were done to perfection and melted in my mouth. I paired them with the cheddar grits with tomato pepper chutney and again my taste buds were doing the happy dance. We were so full that we had leftovers and did not have dessert, but all of the dessert looks amazing! The service is timely, professional, knowledgeable and the flow is well managed. The restaurant is currently BYOB and has a corkage fee of $10. The prices are very fair for chef owned and freshly prepared food, the flavor and taste of which will make you yearn for more. If you are in town for the weekend they also serve daily lunches and Sunday brunch. Go relax and have a great dining experience at Smoke Cantina in beautiful Franklin Pennsylvania. read more
