BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! horrible place if you have a VW. IDIOTS!!!!! To hear the full story of my smog saga, read my review. The long and short of it is that these guys were unhelpful idiots. I called in the day before for an appointment, and told them then that my car was a 1999 VW Cabrio. Guy says, Ok see you tomorrow..... Tomorrow rolls around and I show up. First of all I didnt really know where to go - but theres an office at the left part of the backside of the garage. The guy said "Wait here" and went out to my car. He took one look at it, came back, and said, "I cant test this." Im like, "Excuse me?" and so he explains that according to the BOOK VWs with aftermarket stereos destroy the testing equipment and you cant test them. Im like, "So what do I do?" and the idiot suggests reinstalling the factory stereo, as if anyone keeps around useless junk like that. I tell him I dont have it anymore, and he says, "Well I dont know what to tell you then." And I am just like, I cannot believe I ended up with such a stupid person. I can understand ... read more

I don't like feeling ripped off, and unfortunately, that is exactly how I felt after I left SMOG EASE Test Only Center. My car failed the smog test exam because I had had repair work done that day (replacing a spark plug), and the car computer had been reset. He failed to mention, prior to the exam, that that would instantly make my car fail. But he charges regardless of pass/fail, so what does he care? A simple question of "Have you had any work done on the car recently?" prior to hooking my car up would have prevented that. But to the reason I feel ripped off: He went ahead and charged me $58 for the check and wants me to go back to him so he can charge me another $58 to take the test again. If I have to fork over any more money, I'm just going down the street to Allen Smog check. If they had been open yesterday I would have gone there instead. TOTAL RIPPED OFF read more

Love Smog-Ease! Any time I've needed smog services, I head here from Pasadena. A friend recommended the place to me and man, I'm so glad. The servicemen here are very pleasant, do their work quickly and efficiently, and make you feel at ease. I've recommended this place to family and friends and they've all agreed that this is the best smog station in the area. Last time I was here, there were a couple of adorable kids in the office. I'm guessing it was the tester's kids. Anyway, they were so cute and made me laugh while they play fought amongst themselves and I waited for my car. Does that make me sound like a creeper? Anyway! Smog ease is the only place anyone should go for a smog check I have a old car 1990 mersedes I went to different to get my somg check the guy was eating in my car it took over 45 min for him to be done and not only that I failed and I was charged 80 dollars and the guy did not even say why I failed he said go fix it. So after I left not knowing what to do. i dorve down a couple blocks and ii say smog ease I went it nick welcome me in so I told what happen before so I first asked how much and how long he said 50 dollars and 15 min so he did the test I still failed but when it was done he sat down and told me what to do where to go some tips and how I failed and he even gave a free rest.BEST SMOG CHECK PLACE IN TOWN read more

Awesome smog station! Was recommended to it by a shop down the street, and things could not have gone better! Nerses was super nice, polite, and professional and walked me through the whole process, as I haven't had to smog a car using only the OBD sensors yet and it's new to me. He explained to me about drive cycles and getting the sensors to show ready and was very patient with me. He also keeps his shop very clean which I feel is indicative of how he treats all aspects of his business. He was even so nice as to take a little off the normal price, which was super appreciated. I've used Smog-Ease on 2 occasions as they are located directly next to my preferred mechanic shop. The shop is nice and clean.. not like your usual dirty garage style smog place.. You can grab coffee while you wait for your smog.. which shouldn't take more than 20 minutes max. The only draw back is Smog-Ease is about $5-10 more expensive then alot of other smog checkers.. I would however use them again in the future because of convenience of location. read more

I've been coming here for years and love this place! I have a 1999 Saturn and always bring my car here for the smog check. He takes great care of my car and is the sweetest guy. He takes the time to tell me if there is anything he thinks my car might need and went over the numbers of the smog (again because my car is so old and almost didn't pass).
