My family and I have been coming here for years. But last week I had the worst experience with the female smoger. Right from the beginning she had the worse attitude and was just flat out rude for no reason. I notice she took pictures of my license plate and dashboard which again I've been coming here for years and never seen any smoger do that. When I asked her what was the reason for the pictures she got even more aggressive and she said to protect herself from people like me?? Mind you this was the first time I even asked her anything and I was never rude about it just genuinely concerned. I thought maybe she was having a bad day but when I spoke to my partner about it he also said he's had bad experiences with that same smoger! SHE NEEDS A SERIOUS ATTITUDE CHECK. I went there today and the woman working there was so rude from the get go. She told me I had to go to a mechanic to pull the whole panel off because the piece she needed to reach she couldn't. Took it to another location on azure and he was able to do no problem. She obviously doesn't know what she is doing. And should just have said that. Never going to this location again. I usually come here every year for my smog check. I know to bring cash since it's an extra $1 if paying by card and I always mention the coupon before they start. This was the first year the person doing my smog offered to also pay my registration here. I agreed not knowing it's an extra $10 fee. The smog itself was suppose to be $19.99. I got handed 1 receipt for my registration renewal which had the correct price and another receipt that read $36. I asked the guy and he said the $36 was for my smog and $10 fee for paying my registration. The math didn't add up since I wasn't told there was a fee and I didn't get the discounted rate for the smog. The guy insisted he told me 3 times there was a fee, but I didn't hear it and my boyfriend who was on the phone with me didn't hear it either. In the end, the guy swiped my card again for $30.99 saying that's the price with the discount. Fingers crossed I didn't just get charged $66.99 for a smog check and one of the charges falls off my card. 1 star for how fast the smog check usually is. 0 stars for service. They have a sign up for charging an extra $1 when using card, they should have a sign up saying $10 fee to pay registrations here as well to prevent future confusion for other customers. read more

Came here with my work van and got failed for a gas cap. Got it fixed, went back and they signed my failed test saying "I fixed it." Went to dmv who asked why they didn't give me another test instead of a signed paper. Went to a diff smog place for a test and they told me I was incorrectly failed, called the dmv and they confirmed and said I should return to this shit hole for a free test. Went back and they wouldn't do a free test, the charged me $20. So, I had to pay for their mistake. Close up shop, this place is stealing money. read more

Made an appointment on their website for a certain time. I did one for Saturday 1:30pm. Went to the location where I set it at and they were closed. So unprofessional! Why would someone call to confirm my appointment then go to it and they closed. This was at the Cheyenne location. Go across the street jiffy behind the 711! they were fast only took me 10 minutes and I was out there doing my smog and registration. I was in and out quickly. Go there twice a year to get our vehicles smogged and pay for our DMV registration also which is great. One stop and everything done, plus our new tags come within a few days which is nice. I've had a few different technicians and all of them have been professional and have great personalities. There's not a lot to say about a smog shop but I've been going to this same one now for about 6-8 years and would recommend them over other ones I've used in the past. read more

I had to wait a little longer than usual, possibly due to COVID & the safety measures put in place to keep each patron safe and/or A LOT of procrastinators rushing to get their smog check before the extended DMV vehicle registration due date on 9/13. I was just at the location at 6692 W Cheyenne and the young lady there was very rude. Started with "can you start the car, your seat is wet and it's kinda gross and I don't wanna deal with it" That took care of your tip, $3 back in wallet. Then signed my cc. receipt and didn't put the pen back in the holder, that prompted an eye roll, big sigh and head shake. I gave her a look... Went in for a smog check and the kid that was performing my smog broke my obd port trying to take a cap off which i asked if he needed help removing the cap to just let me know he said no that he had it and went on with the inspection to later charge me and fail me for reason "tampered " to something he literally just broke in front of me saying i cant perform a test because its going to fail sorry very unprofessional for such a simple task definitely do not recomend this place read more

First time using them, didnt like the attendants Attitude when I pulled up started accusing me of smoking marijuana while driving . I tried explaining to her that I dont smoke marijuana that smell was from driving down Cheyenne with my windows which they were. Unfortunately this year I had to change last years 5 star review to a 1 star. The girl working there struggled to make the OBD connector fit and then she charged me money - signs prompted for tips too. I paid, then asked if it passed. She said she didnt know. Then when the papers came out she said they were unable to talk to the computer in my car, so I had to visit the DMV emissions lab. I panicked of course - visiting the DMV is not something you do voluntarily. At the DMV next day lines were not as bad as I feared and the car passed with flying colors just as I knew it would. When asked to speculate as to why Smogbusters did not let the car pass, DMV responded that the only reason they could see is that the cable might have been bad. So why didnt Smogbusters try with a new cable when they experienced problems? I emailed Smogbusters about the problem but of course they didnt bother to respond. So if you smog here, make sure to pay with a credit card so you can dispute the transaction with your bank if or when they try to scr*w you! Also make sure to print the coupon from their website or they will scr*w you with the price too. read more
