I was with SMOC for many years. Three therapists, and 2 med prescribers. First therapist was serious about her job,the other 2 never asked much of me. One therapist didn't even have kids, and yet she was to counsel me on problems with mine. 90% of the time she was at least 15-20 minutes late. I needed to learn coping skills, guess that's not part of her job,go to a program at the hospital, she should say. First med prescriber over medicated me,and got me addicted to pills. Changed med prescriber and she wouldn't prescribe much. That doctor didn't like that I couldn't work with her,I tried for close to for 5 years, she wouldn't let me see another prescriber for meds. I had to go elsewhere for treatment. The first 2 appts with the other agency made me hopeful of actually feeling better. Can't say I was ever hopeful at SMOC. read more
