Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic. Not only did the windows and door come earlier than promised, the American Windows crew came on time and worked quickly and professionally. We were amazed that the whole job only took 4 1/2 hours to complete. The windows and door materials are high quality and we are very satisfied with the results.

Had all new pre-painted Hardee Plank siding, new windows, doors (both double and single), eaves, seamless gutters with leaf guards. 21 new doors and windows that work flawlessly. Window shutters as well. Job was completed in less than 3 weeks to my 110% satisfaction. These guys are experienced professionals that pay attention to every detail and the customer. They adhered to every detail of the Hardee plank specifications and even installed all my new exterior lights. Ripped off all cedar siding, then encased entire house with plywood, then Hardee moisture wrap and taping, finally the Hardee siding and trim. Thorough cleanup. Very highly recommended. It is very important to go with a company that does it all. The others only did siding or doors and windows but not both, but it's very important that both get done simultaneously to have the perfect outcome. Very cloudy and ugly. Contacted them about our "Lifetime" warranty and they said they would not honor it. Soooo what good is a warranty when signing it then? They said they are using another manufacturer and they simply cannot replace it now. Well that's not my fault. Their only suggestion was to pay for a glass company to fix it. Hey, how'bout if Window Man pays the glass company fix it and replace it? Bottom line - don't buy-in on any "Lifetime" warranty when they're sitting at your kitchen table making their sales pitch.

Unfortunately, our recent experience has been disappointing. One of the windows installed by Window Man developed a serious leak. Based on the assessment of both myself and a licensed contractor, the root cause was an installation defect. Photographs, videos, and the contractor's report confirmed improper installation. Since the repairs were completed, the leak has not returned despite several heavy rainstorms--eliminating other possible causes like roofing, gutters, or drainage issues. We contacted the company under their 10-year installation warranty, providing all documentation, including an invoice for $5,500 in repair costs. Despite this evidence, Window Man denied responsibility. Mistakes can happen, but what matters most is how a company stands behind its work. We are still hoping Window Man will honor its warranty and reputation by reimbursing the repair costs. Until then, I cannot recommend them with the same confidence I once had.
