Then I ordered the soup and a side of grits, which were both delicious. My husband order the Beef cheek Po Boy - yummy! And my friend ordered the Cuban. The fries are tasty and everything tasted incredibly fresh and well prepared. Of course we saved room for dessert and shared the Banana Cream Pudding. It had a roasted marshmallow top and probably the beat Banana pudding I've had! For drinks, we got the Filly Lilly, A specialty Mint Julio with Thyme in it, and the winner was the Strawberry Rhubarb Buck. Wow! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We sat inside because it was a dreary first half of the day before the sun came out for the Derby! But, there were a lot of nice outdoor areas to sit and enjoy your food or beverages. You will find something you love at the Kitchen Table. I highly recommend!

Stayed here for one night's lodging after attending an event in the area. The room was fantastic…read morewith comfortable accommodations and I slept well after an initial adjustment period to the street noise below my window. I was in the upstairs corner Lincoln Suite and the stone walls are thick and several layers of draperies contribute to the quietude. Although the building is old, many modernized remodels have been completed. However, do not expect an up-to-date type space. For example, there is a slight step up into the bathroom. The door to the room also rattled whenever someone else closed a door elsewhere .... Or maybe that was Lincoln's ghost? I was too tired to fret about it and slept well. Would recommend staying here at least once for a unique experience. Breakfast was included in the room rate. Menu is in the room to contemplate ahead of time. Went down to the dining area prior to my check out and had a nice dining experience. Ordered the Traditional Breakfast option and it was well prepared and satisfying, so overall also a great value. There is also a Keurig coffeemaker in the room. Staff are all very welcoming and proficient. Parking was free next to the property.

4.5 What a pleasant and enjoyable stay! We were completely…read moresurprised by the comfort and conveniences provided at the Talbott Inn. We had looked at the historic rooms at the nearby Tavern (our reason for visiting), but decided not to take our chance on stairs we'd have to negotiate to get to a room. However, the Inn has a very large and convenient elevator, so that's the place we chose. (Note: the elevator is very slow...but what's the rush?) The reception desk and area is small but adequate with odds and ends of tchotchkes for sale. Receptionist was very polite. Our room was spacious! And...I mean bigger than the photos represent and much larger than we imagined. Large comfy bed, plenty of soft and medium pillows, fridge, microwave, chairs to lounge, relax, or read. Complementary bottles of water, coffee and coffee maker. All nice touches. And thermostat was easy to adjust. Bathroom was fine, clean, well-stocked with one notable exception, which we find in nearly every hotel we stay in these days: No towel rods to hang wet towels or wash cloths. That is, except one hook high up on the back of the bathroom door. (Virtually out of reach for my wife. We find this an unreasonable inconvenience in all our travels....(so only a half point deduction here.) Windows provided beautiful views of the square and were seemingly well-insulated....so no terrible traffic noises to keep us awake during the night. (OK...A few trucks in the morning, but not too early.) All-in-all we give this lodging very high marks and our solid recommendation. Oh, and very reasonably priced to boot!

Although the innkeeper, Elise, had several photographers listed on her "approved vendor" sheet for wedding planning, she highly recommended Bob. My husband and I heartily thank Elise for the recommendation! Bob and his wife, Suzie, are a FANTASTIC husband-wife photography team. They were so professional, friendly and responsive! My husband understands the art behind photography more than I do, and the minute he perused Bob's website, he asserted "that's the one we're going with." Bob and Suzie were so good to work with! Suzie responded quickly to all my emails. Bob kept me updated and informed on the wedding day process and made great suggestions, which were a huge stress-reliever for me. I was concerned that potential bad weather, or the tiny, unassuming size of our wedding would deter him: NOT AT ALL. He promised to stay overnight near the inn to avoid bad weather if need be. And, he promised that he would spend as much time and effort as necessary to take numerous, quality photos. This absolutely meant the world to me, and Bob more than exceeded my hopes! Bob treated my little country wedding with the same enthusiasm and attentiveness reserved for a big fancy affair. He was detail-oriented but organized; professional and knowledgeable, but still so much fun. He kept the environment so relaxed, and put each person at ease (this was a feat, as he was dealing with a shy 10 year old girl; some older folks; and me, who is perpetually camera-shy). My 10 year old daughter absolutely loved Bob (he obviously works great with kids) and he has my husband's stamp of approval. We have seen our pictures posted on Bobknollphoto.com and they are gorgeous! Bob is compiling a wedding album for us as well, and we can't wait to see it! He books up quickly and with a packed schedule, so I am so thankful and honored to have been his first wedding of 2014!

My 6 yr old grand baby went hear for 5 mos off of the advise of a lady who says her daughter…read morelearned tumbling here. The problem is the trainers suck and the lady running it , Ms J relies on them . Their trainers are young , really young ,that train beginning gymnastics. We've given this place chance after chance because my granddaughter got attached to the weak teenage trainer , who is lazy and depressed . The other trainers were not focused and talked more than trained. No one demonstrated any type of moves for the very few kids attending. I thought because the classes were smaller my grand would learn more. I hated the fact that we left another gym because this one was cheaper. You get what you pay for. My granddaughter got bullied by one of the kids and the trainers pretended not to see it . I told Ms J , who simply said it would not happen again about a month ago. We've been there since 9 of 2025 and my granddaughter learned how to cartwheel , split and a backroll on her own because of very little training. She stayed frustrated because she could not learn the moves because of inconsistency. The kid training her knew nothing. She is just a body there for show. Ms J sits in the office fund raising and lying. I told her my granddaughter got bullied and she said another trainer would get her. Didn't happen .My granddaughter got hurt because the trainer had her on uneven Matt's and she twisted her ankle as a repercussion of me complaining, which my grand didn't want me to do. The trainer is incapable of being professional. and very vindictive. There is no consistency in training and the results is a confused and frustrated 6 yr old. The last straw was this past Friday which is supposed to be beginning training in tumbling, the class we were there for. No one showed up but 1 girl doing make up class and one big bully girl who's been there since she was small that can't do one flip , cartwheel or back bend. Her grandma brings her and all I can say is somebody's crazy . My granddaughter ended up being told to do a cartwheel with a half foot dip in it between 2 1/2 foot Matt's high ,with about a foot spaced in between them. I saw this and from getting hurt before on the uneven mats about the same height ,my grand did not continue. The kids are sitting around while the trainers are walking around with their hands in their pockets and talking. They are lazy and only want a pay check for the mall or McDonald's. They're kids ! So why not .Ms J will says anything to appease a parent and is rude, will not speak or be friendly . Hope it's not a race thing because my granddaughter , who is nothing but sweet kept trying to be friendly to all of them and speak because that's who she is and just got blown off as if she said nothing . Especially by Ms J. I constantly told her to stop greeting them and she actually said "no,momma I'm going to be nice". She is a sweetheart. After the bullying, rudeness and the risk of fatal injury we left this passed Friday but not before confronting Ms J and showing a tape of her lazy trainer letting my granddaughter fall over and over and not supporting her on a move she is not even ready for . She claims she fired the blonde and brunette with really long hair. Beware!!! If you love your kid you will not risk taking them here. Wasted a little money , but the time we wasted was more valuable . Going to another gym so my granddaughter can learn something and I can actually see all she's being subjected to. They have you upstairs in a corner at an angle where you can't see half of what they're doing to the kids in a far right corner. They demand this is where you sit and got mad when the ppl that took my grand went to another spot to see all of what was going on . I noticed they make the real money off of other gym programs that come there for practice because of the space and the little ppl that pay for beginning tumbling training mean nothing individually ,unless you pay a one on one coach and don't take the so called beginning classes. That's a lure to suck you in. Beware the wolves are real!Only leaving one star to close the rating . Really rate 0.

All the meats baked in the house, bread baked in house, cheese sliced themselves, fresh organic vegetables and such sliced by hand by loving employees. Soups, made from scratch, like your grandmother made them or something. That's what this place is. A Jewel in the Nile. Also, I believe they only hire people with developmental disabilities, so when you eat here, you are supporting a very noble cause. Twice now I have purchased the Kentucky club, thick slice home house baked turkey, thick sliced in-house baked ham, and thick sliced bacon, with thick sliced Swiss cheese and cheddar, with hyper fresh greens and fresh sliced Roma tomatoes. Did I mention they make their own bread? So all of those great ingredients stacked on in-house baked whole wheat bun. So delicious. They even make their own potato chips! And they are amazing. Oh, they also make their own cookies from scratch and they are pretty darn delicious. Here's the hard part about this place, it's practically invisible. It sits on the backside of an industrial area, and is relatively hidden for that reason. The only reason I ever heard of this place is because I went to work on their security system. The food looked so good that I bought lunch, and after going back a week later and eating there again, I can Guarantee that I will return weekly for at least one lunch, because the prices are so good and the food is so good that this place just cannot be passed up. Not to mention the great cause. Don't go expecting to sit down, it's takeout only, but everything is lovingly packaged and prepared hourly. I just cannot say enough good things about this place, I am really happy that I found it and when you find it you should be too. Please support this place as it is a wonderful little joint for a great cause.
