Where to even begin. We moved back to SC a year ago for work and to be closer to family and brought…read moreour 3 cats with us. Before we found a permanent living situation we were in Airbnbs and our older cat was having some serious health issues and we really thought she wasn't going to make it through the holidays last year. We went to another vet in town that at that time was closer for us and I was just constantly disappointed in the care she got and how they treated me (who was also dealing with a 7 month old baby at the time). Fast forward to our new house closer to north Augusta and a nearby stray cat colony with kittens that started appearing out of nowhere. The old vet got increasingly worse so I desperately searched for a new vet closer to us and found BFAC. They seem fairly new and I went in expecting disappointment again but Dr Santos was a godsend. We'd been battling parasites in the foster kittens that somehow transmitted to my other cats and I was in a stressful season trying to keep my toddler and cats all healthy. Dr Santos listened to my concerns, was so kind and respectful, and ultimately helped resolve our issues within a week (where the other vet had been dragging things out for weekS). I also had Dr Santos reassess our oldest cat and she explained why she wanted to do certain blood panels and try a specific treatment plan. No others vets had done that for me despite me asking for explanations. Our cats health issues aren't totally gone but they have dramatically improved and I'm very thankful for that. The receptionist ladies (Lauren and Michelle, I think are their names) are both awesome. They are so kind and love to see each and every animal (and even my toddler) who walks in that door. They have called to follow up on things and are quick at getting back to me when I have questions. The techs have all been great as well. Most recently we've seen the new doctor, Dr Mele, and she is great too! The clinic is super convenient for me and has a nice waiting room. Their prices are pretty average compared to other vets in the area (I have called a lot asking for prices so I've done my research). I like that they are willing to prescribe things for ordering on Chewy as I use Chewy a lot but they sell many things in clinic and can order things for you too. Overall I am very satisfied with BFAC and will continue to recommend them to anyone needing veterinary care in the CSRA.

In the last three…read moreyears I've spent probably thousands of dollars and many trips to the vet for various cat ailments and check ups. Some in Pennsylvania and some here in the CSRA. At almost all of them I've been disappointed in the cost and lack of expense disclosure before a service is done, but it's also just a hassle to get scheduled for things that aren't super emergent but also can't wait for a month. CSRA Life Saver is a low cost preventative vet clinic. That means they do not treat sick animals, and they can't prescribe much other than some preventative flea/tick/heart worm medicines and dewormers. What they DO offer is walk in appointments (they do not schedule ahead except for spay/neuter surgeries), vaccines, microchips, pet health maintenance (like ear mite cleaning, deworming, nail trims, etc). Their prices are listed clearly online and in the office, and they require that you fill out a form ahead of time and clearly mark which services you want that day. When you arrive, you fill that out first (or you can print it at home and bring it in) then go in to the desk and sign in. By the number of chairs I saw, the wait can get long at times but both times I've been so far there was very little wait. Because they do minimal services, appointments don't last very long and they can see a lot of people. Their prices are the lowest I've found by a LOT and they seem interested in just doing what they can to help animals and owners in a timely manner. The office itself is pretty simple- it's an old house type building converted to an office. There is some indoor waiting room area but many chairs on the porch for overflow. I did not accompany my cat into the exam room and didn't see other owners do that either, so just be ready for that. They take cards and cash. The only issue I've had is the microchip I got on my kitten seems to have moved from the shoulder blade location I assumed they inserted it at, but I think that's more likely my kitten being a little underweight for his age (a recent stray we took in). I wish they had mentioned prior to the microchipping that you can't bathe the animal for a few days, and now with the movement of the chip I wish I'd waited to get that done til they neuter him or something but it's too late now. Overall, the prices cannot be beat and they offer helpful guidance on saving money and getting what's best for your pet.

We also took my daughter's dog here when he had Parvo and they gave him excellent care in 2020 and he came home. When the Aiken vet that my husband's family has used for 20+ years, proved it was not a worthy vet, I decided that All God's Creatures would be the place that we would go, no matter how far I had to drive. He had dental surgery scheduled yesterday morning and I called them on Friday to ask if they would be reaching out to let us know of any changes in operating hours on Monday because of the weather. I was assured that they would let me know. Drove 45 minutes and I arrived for surgery at 7:40 AM and nobody was there. I called the only phone number that they have with no answer, knocked on the door and I sat there until 815. There was no way I was going to drive home immediately so I went looking on Facebook to see if there was somebody, anybody that I could reach out to to find out what was going on. I don't follow them on Facebook. And right there was a post saying that they were not going to open until 10:00 AM due to the weather and they would reach out to reschedule via their Facebook page and email. I checked my email and there was nothing. Nohing in junk mail, no phone calls, voicemails, texts. Nothing. Drove another 45 minutes to take my dog home and get myself to work. I'm at work for 30 minutes and I get a phone call asking me to bring him in "now" at which time I explained to her what happened and it was completely blown over. I left work and I went home and got my dog, drove to Augusta again and I took him in. While there I explained to someone else what happened and it again was completely disregarded. "They were supposed to email the cancellations". BUT YOU DIDN'T! And WHY would an email be a sufficient means in which to cancel a surgery??? Not only do I not get notifications for my emails, I don't look at them daily. So even if I had gotten one I wouldn't have known. She tells me they're gonna start the surgery in about 30 minutes and I should get a phone call around 2 PM. Updating me about how it went. I didn't receive any phone call anywhere around 2 o'clock so sometime around 3:30 I started calling to see what was going on. ALL DAY FROM THE MOMENT I TRIED TO DROP HIM OFF I MADE 22 calls and not one was answered. No compensation, no sincere apology, NOTHING. Well, I have a big mouth and I will run it about this interaction until the end of my days when anything involving veterinary care comes up with anyone I'm talking to. For seven years, I've told people about the amazing visits that we've had there and that's over. The staff that you had is clearly not the staff that you have now. My husband also said when he picked him up that the girl at the front was not friendly at all. Also, at our pre-surgical appointment the tech that came into the room was grossly picking food out of her back molars with her fingers after she walked into the room. Gross. And maybe don't do that. On a positive note, it was cheaper than the quote we got at the overrated Aiken Vet and my dog is alive and doing well today.

MALPRACTICE -- DO NOT LET YOUR PET BE SEEN BY THE VET SEQUOIA BRUINTON ‼…read more(Read paragraph 4 most important if it's too long and paragraph 6 with the ‼ emoji at the beginning). I think about it every single day. It happened May 18th 2025, and now that it's approaching the end of the year I need to have the strength to tell you all about the vet Sequoia Bruinton at Blue Pearl. My sweet dog was under her care for part of the 3 days he was inpatient at the emergency vet for end stage heart failure. He got to go home for a few weeks before he started showing symptoms again like the day he was brought into the ER. He was the sweetest most gentle boy to everyone and never had a problem with any person, especially females so when Sequoia came into the room for the quality of care check up I requested, it surprised me when he started growling. After a while I was able to get him to calm down and they took him back to give him his check up. Ultimately I decided to go through with euthanasia. The techs failed to correctly administer his IV for the sleepy medicine, and the techs heartlessly were laughing loudly behind the door while they stuck him with a new IV a second time. When they were done I opened the door to see my sweet baby boy looking at me wanting to go home, so confused at what was going on. Letting these girls do what they were doing without any resistance. I didn't say anything but I thought, what kind of person would be laughing out loud while a patients dog is about to get put under?????? ‼ I had my time with him and called Sequoia in, then my boy started growling again. At that point he should've been sleepy but he wasn't. It wasn't supposed to be like this -- I've had 3 other animals I've had to put down and this was unlike any other. I tried to calm him down, but before I could get him calm and to stop growling, I look over and Sequoia already pushed half of the euthanasia through, already killing him. She took him from me. She took his peace from him. She took my peace from me. This was NOT URGENT. I could've gone home with him and waited a few hours for the next vet to come in the next shift, but she was too heartless and too impatient. And that same day I called her crying trying to understand what happened, and she gaslighted me telling me that most vets don't give the sleepy medicine before the euthanasia when that is a downright LIE. ‼ This is something I will live with for the rest of my life, replaying in my head, but to her? I guess being heartless is an ordinary day of business. If you love your animal as much as I loved mine... don't allow her to see your pet, don't allow her to be the one to administer the euthanasia. I already addressed this to management. They didn't do anything but send me flowers and say they were sorry. I wish they never sent me flowers, just a week long reminder of my excruciating pain and experience until the flowers died.
