I had the worst experience with this place. I hit a deer and was recommended this place by a friend. Before taking my car here I told Gary (the owner) that I expect perfection and he assured me that that my car would be in good hands. I believed him and went ahead with using them. Once they completed the repairs and I got my car back, I found 4 major issues with the work, some more concerning than others: 1. For some reason the shop decided to repair the door instead of replacing it. The repair job was very poor. You could see the crease marks and the patch work under in the reflection of the paint. This door should have been replaced instead of being repaired in the first place. 2. Poor paint finish around the parking sensor in the bumper - you could see paint bulging out around the parking sensor. 3. Paint drip on the front bumper near the headlight. 4. Overspray on the sideskirt. I then brought my car back to have these issues addressed. They had to resand and repaint the door to get the crease marks out from under the paint. All of the other issues were fairly simple fixes. Once I got my car back for the second time, I realized that the door that they repainted was now a different color. It was a shade darker. I messaged Gary and he said that they used the same paint as before, but since it's a 3 stage paint it will come out different every time. This is BS, and they should not have given me this Frankenstein back. What it seems to me is that they used a cheap clear coat which made the door look yellow. At this point I am not trusting them to touch my car ever again, as they fooled me twice already and I do not want them to make it any worse if I bring it back to them for the 3rd time. I am going to have to take it to another shop and pay out of pocket to get the door repainted again (everything else was covered through insurance but since Smith Collision is not my insurance's approved shop, my insurance is not responsible for the poor work they have done). What a nightmare, if you expect quality work I would not take your car here. read more

I had a tent blow over in the wind and hit my car. It put a big dent in the door, scratched the roof extremely bad and scratched the door on the other side. I decided to go to here after searching around for local body shops. They made it pretty much hassle free on my end from the time I dropped off the car then picked it up. They talked to my insurance company, filed for supplemental damages, and kept in contact. When I went to pick the car up it was washed both inside and out and looked better than the day we brought it home. The paint was blended extremely well and the body work on the dent was too notch. It's metallic paint and there was no sags, splotches, or tiger stripes. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I happen to see a few negative reviews regarding Smith Collision. I have been using them for years. I think 4 times. People don't believe some of these negative comments you read on here. Good company, great job, I find it hard to believe they would ever do a bait and switch. This Blair person is very mistaken. Gary, comes out, takes pics, and starts surveying the damage. Its logical to assume that he can't see all the damage until they get it on a lift from what you can't see from just looking, what's in plain view. This business does a bait and switch on its customers and then gaslights them about it. I was told that it would be $1000 repair (verbal quote) and then the estimate came in at $2900!!! I recommend you take a video of their verbal quote. Because then they cannot gaslight you when you call them out on their b&s tactic, which is what they did to me. Women be especially wary. The men in the shop aren't on the same page with one another, and the nasty receptionist is particularly off-putting. She claims to be hard of hearing, so I thought perhaps that was why she came across as prickly. Then she ended up picking a fight with me after I peacefully wrote a check, figuring this was just an expensive learning experience on my end, and as I was getting ready to walk away, she lambasted me for lobbing a complaint against them.
