I would not recommend working with TruBlue…read more We hired them to build a single wall, install French doors, and move a light switch. At first, our experience was great. Wendy, the general contractor, was prompt in communication, provided a detailed quote, and scheduled the project quickly. However, once work began, it went downhill. Their crew was supposed to start work Monday morning. They texted Sunday night and said someone called out and asked if they could start Tuesday. No problem, things happen. I was in a meeting Monday afternoon and got a call from them asking if they could come right then. I had to rearrange the rest of my day to accommodate them but did. They showed up and only stayed for two hours. They asked if they could start at 8 am each day and we said yes, they could come as early as they would like. They did not show up at 8 am on any day, but rather closer to 10 am. The project was supposed to take at most, 4 days. Instead, it took 8. They blamed this on us, for making changes throughout the project. However, those changes were minor (like changing our minds on the door knobs for the French doors, and providing new ones, before they had even installed them) and I explicitly asked if any of those changes were going to hold up the process. They said no. They initially built the wall and it was crooked. We asked them to fix it and they tried, but it was still very warped. The mud was applied unevenly and not sanded well. They applied paint anyway. We had to ask them to redo this. They did and the wall is now straight, but the mud and paint overtop are still uneven. They installed trim poorly and unevenly, leaving rough edges and gaps. They did not patch the holes that the nail gun left or paint the trim. We are now stuck doing this. They moved the electrical switch to the incorrect place on the wall, despite me marking exactly where we wanted it and confirming placement with them in-person beforehand. Now it's too late to fix that. They didn't lay proper protection down on our floors and they were coated in white from dust and splattered paint. They said not to worry and they would scrub them. They didn't. We are left trying to remove debris from the hardwood floor cracks that is proving difficult to get fully clean. Most importantly, they re-wired the electrical incorrectly. Our switches don't work properly, or at all sometimes. We've gotten several quotes from other electrical contractors and they've all agreed -- This was a botched job. We are now looking at spending $4,000 to fix their mistakes. After all of this, we just wanted Wendy and her team out of our home so we wrote them a check to be done with it. Wendy never followed up on the quality issue updates. With us, after initial consult, their team's communication was poor and the quality of work/craftsmanship was very much lacking.

For the last 2-3 year this company has been contracted to come out and "fix" the leak however every few months the leak is back and worse than it was before. They came out a week or so ago to "fix" it. Didn't even go into the attic to see where the leak was and then disappeared outside and then left without even telling me if they fixed it or not. Cut to this past Sunday & Monday when we had torrential rain and storms and I was woken up at 5am by a consistent stream of water coming through my ceiling from the "fixed" leak. This is SO frustrating as I don't know what they can't just fix it! I should not be complaining about the same leak for 4 years now. It's really ridiculous at the point.

When he first quoted me, he said his going rate was $60 per hour... expensive, but if he was reliable and got the job done, I didn't have a problem with it. He does do good work, but I need to warn you, he is extremely messy, and whenever he finishes a project, he will leave trash everywhere and not clean up anything. One of his messes was so bad he did not release he left his own tools behind. He was reliable until this past weekend. He did not show up to install our oven so my husband and I did it ourselves. At 2 pm he told us he was on his way. Then comes my deck steps project. This is when everything changed. He spent 4 days sanding 7 steps and 2 handrails. Shows up between 10-12 and left at 5-6 daily, total hours worked 26 hours (verified with cameras). At the end of day one I asked him how much I owed him. He told me it's best to do price at end of project and he was using his going rate which was quoted at $60. Should have been a major red flag to me, but I was like OK $60... he takes a lot of breaks, smoking cigarettes and talking on his phone. Ok, people need breaks, no worries. Yesterday he finished work and it looks HORRIBLE. Even he knows it's bad and says he will come back and paint more. Now here is the kicker, for 2 handrails and 7 steps, it was $3,400!!!! He said it is $3,200 labor and $200 labor. $123/hour!!!! I shared my shock with him and he said paint is hard and dusty. Not $123/hour hard... he absolutely took advantage of a customer and lost multiple others in the process. Because I was initially impressed, many neighbors wanted to use him which will no longer be happening. He came down to $3000 as a favor. Whatever. I paid it and asked him to never come back, he is no longer welcome here. Look at his replies to other comments, he says leave a 5 star review or no review. Unfortunately I will not be bullied by a person who took advantage of me and forces a good review or none. Use his services at your own risk and know that painting is $800/day which is 6 hours, not even a full day. Absolutely insane.
