They listened to direction well, and corrected any issues that arose (they put back a light fixture in the wrong place and moved it after we pointed it out). I feel they knew what they were doing and the best products to use. They covered our flooring and elements that were not getting painted to prevent damage and I can't find any paint spills or smudges anywhere. Our project also involved a lot of wallpaper removal. I was nervous about this because if the wallpaper is not removed correctly the wall can be damaged or leftover wallpaper glue can cause the new paint not to adhere correctly. But it seems they did a great job with that part too. They communicated well with us via text. We weren't able to check on the project in person every day so they sent photos and details on progress. I plan to use them again for additional painting projects.

We had been burned by our builder so badly and left the job unfinished and owing us thousands of prepaid unfinished jobs and said we would absolutely not pay a dime until the job was finished to our satisfaction. Chris and his partner came as promised, finished the job in one day as promised and did a fantastic job. We couldn't be more pleased both with the job as well as what great guys to work with. The builder who burned us is named Jordan Pucci, owner of Carolina Custom Carpentry. We had him arrested and learned that he has done this to many people in the area. He literally does it all (replacing toilets, replacing floors, treating the concrete, finding problem areas (mold) and replacing it, identify issues (wrong breakers placed in the house), painting rooms, replacing doors.. you name it and he can do it. What I appreciated the most about him is that he has strong communication, great work ethic and will get the job done no matter how long it takes. We had an issue or two with our ceiling fan after the project was done and he immediately came out to take a look - both at the fan and at the how it was wired (turns out it was the fan). He's definitely reliable and would take care of the job until the client is satisfied. His pricing is also very reasonable. I've only known him for three weeks and has already given him three projects. I'd definitely rely on Illia again in the future.

Phipps Masonry did a fantastic job on my home rental project that I will last the life of the home!…read more I have a near 100 year home with a full basement and a garage that needed a facade. Dane from Phipps did great work feathering the brick windows in the basement and parchment inside to help me prep and seal to finish the basement. Additionally, the garage in the back is built solid out of cinder block but looked very rough and didn't match the home.
