A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. Friendly and straightforward and very professional.

Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.

The problem is that they run through a call service. The number the arborist/estimator contacts you from is a no response text. My husband and I weren't happy with the total outcome of the job and wanted someone to come and look at it. Called twice was told the first time the arborist would be there the next day to look at it. He never showed or called. Called again days later. This time the call service told my husband the arborist would call him back to discuss what we felt wasn't done. Never heard from them again. Except via email to repost the invoice to get paid. Won't be using them again. After posting this review on Google reviews they contacted us multiple times. My husband had already spent two full days cleaning up their mess. They should have contacted us back when we had called repeatedly not when they saw the review. That is not how it should work!

When we accepted his proposal I sent a picture of some large white pine limbs we lost that day due to the 16" wet snowfall. I had stacked the limbs in the street and without even letting us know, he sent a team to cut up and remove the debris from the street! And they even shoveled the snow away from the area. After calling several services with no response, A Cut Above Tree Service came to the rescue. Miguel called right back and came out a couple of hours later. He surveyed the damage and wrote up an estimate on the spot which was very reasonable. He and his crew came out the very next day, performed the service, and cleaned up the area beautifully. The tree was in a heavily wooded area and his crew was able to position the logs so they would not disturb a nearby stream runoff and cause flooding. They also cut down a dead maple tree in our front yard and again did a superb job of cleaning up the area. My wife and I were thrilled with the professionalism and courtesy of Miguel and his crew. I contacted them through Yelp and they replied promptly, the owner was friendly and came out within a few days to look at the work I wanted done and gave me a competitive estimate. The price was right by me and they came out on the date I needed them which was within a week of the estimate. They came out and completed the work at a reasonable time frame and we're very friendly answering questions and taking additional requests. I have a few more trees I need gone next year and I'll be contacting them again.
