We hired Bill and Peyton to do some demolition work and drywalling and we did it based off of
the 5 star reviews on here (which in hindsight seems questionable). We were initially glad we could get them to help with our projects right away, but ended up being disappointed with the process and results. Half way through the work we realized these guys probably bit off more than they could handle for two people and they made some very serious mistakes that cost us money to fix afterward. They told us we could use our current floor molding; that they could remove the flooring without damaging it. That wasn't true at all. After they dumped water all over the concrete subfloor (wtf) and left us with a moldy smelling house we had to remove and replace 400 linear feet of molding they damaged from their equipment. They also managed to damage our kitchen cabinets, get rock and debris down into the toilet pipes (our plumber could not believe they didn't cover the hole to prevent this, neither could we), damaged the vanity sink, damaged the refrigerator, ran the AC during work so all the dirt and debris got into the vents and hvac, and left their food wrappers, cups, and even a half eaten burger inside the cabinet for me to find - thanks. The drywall patching turned out terrible, they went way too fast and sloppy, all the places they taped and mudded are sticking out of the wall and left cracks. I ended up having to redo the entire thing; I did a WAY better job and I don't do this for a living. We specifically kept our tools put away in another room, but I would find items out after they were working. At some point our good quality hammer and screwdriver went missing. We had them change out a very high ceiling fan and Bill neglected to use both screws to secure the motor head, telling my husband it didn't need it and pocketing it. Even after my husband insisted he still didn't do it making a condescending remark about us not knowing anything and to trust him. We fixed it after. Also the deadlines (that they set for themselves) kept moving and moving. I'd be told the job would be done Monday, then it moved to Wednesday, then the next week. I'd be told they would show up for the weekend, then they didn't, very inconsistent. We like to support small businesses but bottom line: If you need drywall/painting done, hire a painter who does this every day of his life; flooring get a flooring specialist; electrical get a electrician. I would not hire or recommend based on our experience with them. read more
