Buyers Beware !!!!!!!…read more My family has been bringing our Mercedes vehicles to this shop for many years. Under the previous owner, we always received honest service, fair pricing, and professionalism. Sadly, since the original owner no longer runs the business and the business came under new management, our experience has been completely different. We recently brought in our 2009 Mercedes S-Class for what should have been a straightforward battery replacement. We were charged $392 for the main battery, $255 for the auxiliary battery, $127 for installation, and an additional $150 storage fee, bringing the total bill to $924. Here's where things became unacceptable. The shop contacted us on Friday for additional information about the vehicle, and we immediately authorized the repair. However, because they are no longer open on Saturdays and did not have the battery in stock, they had to order it. Instead of accepting responsibility for their scheduling and parts availability, they charged us $150 in storage fees because the vehicle remained on their lot over the weekend before the repair was even completed. The car wasn't sitting there because we delayed picking it up. It was sitting there because they hadn't completed the repair. We explained that we should not be responsible for storage charges on a vehicle that was still waiting on parts and had not yet been repaired. They refused to remove the charge. It didn't stop there. Once the repair was finally completed, they called us at 4:00 p.m. to let us know the car was ready. The shop closes at 5:00 p.m., so we immediately told them we were on our way. That's when we were informed that the "final pickup time" was actually 4:00 p.m. They then said that if we could make it before they closed at 5:00 p.m., we "should be okay." That made absolutely no sense. If the final pickup time is 4:00 p.m., why wait until 4:00 p.m. to notify your customer that the vehicle is ready? You have no idea whether your customer is at work, across town, or otherwise unavailable. After already charging us $150 in storage fees for a vehicle that hadn't even been repaired, it certainly felt like we were being set up to incur another storage charge simply because they waited until the last hour of business to call. As longtime customers, this experience was incredibly disappointing. We trusted this shop for years because of the integrity and customer service under the previous owner. Unfortunately, that level of service appears to be gone. Charging customers storage fees because your business is closed on Saturdays, billing them for storing a vehicle while waiting on parts, and then notifying them at the exact moment your stated pickup deadline begins is, in my opinion, an unfair business practice and a terrible way to treat loyal customers. This shop has lost our business permanently. I would strongly encourage anyone considering bringing their Mercedes .... DON'T. There are too many reputable independent Mercedes repair shops to accept treatment like this. Zero stars if I could give them that.

I checked in on them monthly and specifically asked that he repair the ripped gray area and reinforce the board. I trusted Mr. Mosley's long-standing reputation in the business, hoping for a high-quality result, especially since I couldn't be there in person. A family member dropped by to check on the panels and was informed that they were ready. They paid $250 and picked them up on my behalf. When I saw the finished panels, I was incredibly disappointed. The panels were cheap-looking and nothing like the original ones I had given him. I had expected a professional and durable repair, but what I received was far from it. The first photos show the new and original panels, the second photo is the original panel and the last two show what was returned to me by Mr. Mosley. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet the high expectations I had based on his reputation. Also, the holes for door handle weren't cut out. How do you miss holes with the original door panel in your possession? I would not recommend Mr. Mosley for auto upholstery. The quality simply didn't match the price or my expectations.

I was going to use another business in Virginia prior to finding this one on Yelp…read more Made the call last week Thursday and spoke to Mr Mosely himself, who answered. African American gentleman and Steelers fan, (unfortunately lol). Very friendly and customer experience focused having been in business at this same location since 1985. Gave him the basics of what I was looking to do on my X5 and he gave me a preliminary price of $650 to redo the entire headliner A&B pillars within the upholstery of the vehicle. Invited me down for him to take a look at it so we could finalize things - which I did. That was on Thursday - 11/11. I was pleased that his price didn't change even though he also had to do the sunroof (which I mentioned over the phone). He told me to bring it in in one week which was yesterday (Thursday -11/18) morning and I'm here now on Friday afternoon (11/19) waiting as they button up the project and reinstall my sunroof. Anyone else would have charged me at least $200-$400 more and one place that I know of (that I used for another vehicle) would have charged me about $1,500 for the same work - and taken several days. Not only is Mr Mosely skilled having been doing car upholstery for many decades, but he's also FAST. It's him and his assistant Henry, and one other gentleman that I saw. The interior of my truck looks better than brand new with an exact color match to the sun visors and I'm more than thrilled that it didn't cost me an arm and three fingers to get the project done. Payment = cash or check only. No credit cards accepted. Good business. Fast turnaround. Terrific price. No more saggy/discolored interior. Who could ask for more? I'm over the moon with joy!

I was the first to arrive (before the shop opened), as I wanted to be in and out as quickly as possible. The young lady at the front desk assisted me and informed me that the service required full payment upfront. Now, for many businesses, this would be a red flag. But given the nature of this particular establishment, along with its solid reputation, I was completely OK with this. You've heard of "dine and dash," involving people who eat and skip out on their bill, so I'm sure that this business didn't want to deal with people who "drive and dash." Anyway.... The mechanic started working on my vehicle immediately and was extremely thorough. Shortly thereafter, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. John, when he entered the sitting area/lobby. I asked if he was the owner because he just had that commanding presence that most owners possess & I wanted to speak with him directly. I informed Mr. John about why I came to his shop and truly appreciated the time and care he put into servicing my vehicle to ensure that it was safe. He told me that he could tell I took care of it, and that for its age, it was in great shape. Mr. John even went the extra mile (see what I did there, haha) and showed me some things that were worn and would eventually need repair. This was great info, not only so I know what to expect for a future visit to my local auto repair shop but also because I decided to have some of the work performed that same day. I felt it was wise to get it out of the way and not have to worry about anything breaking while on the road. Mr. John even told me to call once I arrived at my destination, which further proved that he genuinely cares about his customers and takes great pride in his work. I called the following week and let the young lady at the service desk know that my trip was smooth!

Back in Cali, I started working on my own cars because a) I'd end up coming back to the shop because work not done properly, or b) once I have something repaired, another problem would come up as if the shop did something malicious so I could go back to them. If I had more money, I'd probably go to a more expensive place where there'd be a higher likelihood that it'll get done right the first time. But I was broke and would resort to searching for highly rated places, and choosing the most reasonable quote. Fast forward to now, and having to replace a rack and pinion was beyond what I was willing to invest in time and tools, so I went to a shop thinking that I'd find an honest place with someone whom I can call "my mechanic." But I was duped yet again. My message for any business that wants good reviews and repeat customers is: Just do it...right...the first time...and be honest. If you're going to quote a price, make sure it's a price you're comfortable doing outstanding work for and not bait the customer only to do a half baked job, or charge them extra in the end. (Technically, there's supposed to be a signed work order with an estimated price...and they'd have to contact the customer with any changes before work can be completed) Rosie and the rest of the staff seemed like really nice people, and I would have totally gone back....but niceness doesn't overshadow the fact that I wasn't satisfied with the work. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call for them, and as a reminder for other business owners to just do it...right...the first time...honestly, and with pride in your work - knowing that your reward isn't just financial, but that there's satisfaction in knowing that your customer is happy. For now, I'm going to have to go back to fixing/maintaining my own cars , and saving up for any major repairs so I can send my car to a reputable shop with a high number of positive reviews. That, and/or replace my car with a more reliable one with fewer major issues.
