Prior to our visit I explained that my daughter had jaw problems. I had questions but, when I realized they just wanted to talk money, I wrapped it up and we finished the appointment. You would think when a child comes in with a unique medical condition, you would want to talk to the parents. I did not feel comfortable the treatment plan was coming from the same person who also handled the financial paperwork. Especially when they have absolutely no knowledge of said medical condition. After it was clear the doctor wasn't coming in, I wrapped up the appointment and left. We went somewhere else and the orthodontist actually looked at her mouth and addressed our concerns. I'm definitely not saving money by going elsewhere, but I feel 100% ok with that. I also hate they push Invisalign on you. I get it, you make money off the product but, no means no.

They were able to get my kids in for appointments 2 months earlier than others in the area. For adults, they do a consult appt before scheduling your cleaning. Slightly more time consuming for you, but it gives you a complete oral hygiene plan before they start any work so it worked out well for us as we had a lot going on. And they helped us out with those referrals we needed too. Location is well-kept, they are amazing with kids, hygienists and dentists are wonderful, and they're right off the freeway, great for Milton residents. They'll be our dentists for a long time to come.

She also talks with a lisp with them in. We jumped through every hoop they asked us to jump through for months to "fix them". They were still too big and didn't stay in. She cannot use them. Every time they said they would call, they did not call. I would receive a text or email several days later, or nothing at all. We waited for over a month before I called and followed up on a product they claimed would work to make the dentures fit correctly. We asked the dentures to be remade, and instead they sent me a referral to a different dentist. I was a patient for 20 years. They are in it for the money, not to help you. I had also sent them one of my coworkers for implants, and they completely mess up his dental work as well. I suggest you look elsewhere for a better dental team.

Dr. Wilson and this group are above par (honestly, I'd score them as an albatross - double eagle - if we were using golf terminology) and go out of their way for all children. They have never recommended services that my children didn't need. They were super understanding and patient with one of my middle children who was absolutely terrified of having a filling; they worked to put his mind and ease and the procedure was even stopped once for his comfort, because he became scared. They didn't need to do this, but to them, his comfort level came first. As a parent, this meant so much to me and made it so much easier for my child to go to his next dental visit. Everything they went over really meant something to my child, and after that baby filling tooth fell out, my son has been fortunate enough to have excellent adult teeth with no fillings, and I credit a part of that to this excellent team. My middle daughter has unfortunately grown into a condition that I have, where nitrous oxide is something that makes her ill with a racing heart and sadly, novacaine does not work on her like it should. She needs several shots to get started and then needs a new shot every about every five minutes or she can feel everything that is being done to her. They were super understanding and believed her, instead of taking the opportunity to belittle her or condescend. I wish I could find a dental group that would behave this well; it's been a nightmare getting people to listen that I can feel everything that's being done, no matter how many injections. I've noticed that this clinic will take everyone, from the folks with the best insurance down to the worst and private pay. They are always kind, attentive and there is no attitude towards race or LGBTQ, that our family has noticed and friends that we referred have noticed. That is so refreshing. The atmosphere is upbeat, and fun as it's set up like a theater, with a giant screen and seating in chairs and couches in the front wait room. There is a TV screen over each dental chair, to help little ones focus on a favorite movie rather than the procedure. Turnover is minor, so you can actually establish a relationship with people who your children come to see as "safe" - so important. Comfy seating for the parents, close to their children, is throughout. As a parent, you are included in everything that goes on from the moment you step into the procedure area. You are consulted on treatment options, plans, etc. You are also able to speak with someone, in private, if you need to set up a payment plan or go over insurance details, etc. I just can't say enough about this wonderful facility and superb staff and I feel fortunate to have found a dentist who our family has been able to rely on for almost thirty years. I don't say this lightly as I am not a big fan of posting reviews, but this facility deserves it and has shined brightly for us, even in the years when we didn't have a dental insurance plan. That's truly saying something. **I noted that some people were not happy about how long it takes to get in to be seen at this facility. I understand, but this is such a great place that it's worth it, IMHO. If there is a dental emergency, these people will move night and day to get your child in, because they care. In our friend's and family this facility has been amazing with children who have ADHD, mild Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. We'd rather have a wait or take a half day at school to get our kids in where they feel welcome and safe than to take them somewhere else and risk a negative appointment that could have lasting effects into adulthood. I say this as a child who lived mid state (affectionately referred to as BFE) and was traumatized by my first dentist. I now live with a completely irrational fear that is so bad I get physically ill. I'm so blessed that my children will never have to go through such a scarring, life altering event. I don't say this lightly and I take it very, very seriously. No child should ever have to be slapped by a dentist (my note about feeling everything and injections not helping was not listened to, hence being roughed up for being in pain and crying). Thank goodness for modern technology and fantastic dentists like the people at MPD.

Dr. Youngquist Sr. completed my orthodontia and results were fine…read more There were significant issues with his behavior that were never adequately addressed by him or his staff. He arrived over an hour late after asking me to arrive early in the morning which made it necessary for me to make arrangements at my work. When he did arrive, he didn't apologize, but explained that he was at a ball game up north and couldn't get back on time. He explained further how important he felt it was to take his (grown) son to this ball game since he'd never been to one before. He then proceeded to spill acid in my mouth which caused a permanent scar. By that point I began to realize that he probably was suffering from a hangover. After that, he called my home in the evening (very likely drunk) and admitted that he spilled the acid and told me what the specific chemical was - all of this only after I asked him repeatedly to explain what happened. (I believed that he called in order to try to prevent a lawsuit). He then proceeded to tell me at great length, to both my and my husband's astonishment, that he once had to wait for a long time at a doctor's office and that waiting for doctors is to be expected and that I had no reason to complain. He also went on and on about the importance of taking his son to the ball game. He was clearly drunk and very defensive. I made an appointment a few days later to review my mouth injuries and to discuss his phone call to my home and his behavior in general. Dr. Youngquist did not appear. One of his assistants denied that my injuries were caused by the acid spill. All of my questions and comments were ignored. After that, I discontinued all association with him. I very likely should have pursued a claim, but I was fed up with his pompous, self-aggrandizing, irresponsible behaviors and needed to move on. This was about ten years ago. I've been irritated during the past years when I've seen any ads, etc. referring to his practice. I probably should have found a way to warn others about him. I believe that, while he is capable of producing good orthodontic results, his behavior is detrimental and potentially harmful, especially since he deals with children who have no way of determining if he's at his best when he is performing a procedure. I don't know if he is still practicing or if his son took over. If he is still active, I would be wary of his unusual behaviors and be sure to be present when he performs procedures on children. Better yet, find another orthodontist. This is all unfortunate, but it needs to be said.

Let me start by saying that before I started my orthodontic treatment with Dr. McReath, I visited 5 different orthodontists in the Madison area, where I live. After meeting Dr. McReath and his team at my first visit, I knew I was at the right place and well worth the drive to the Sauk Prairie office for my appointments. Both Dr. McReath, the front office staff, and the ortho assistants are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. Dr. McReath takes the time to explain the treatment plan and allows you to be a part of the plan. Let me add, that I am a very picky individual when it comes to my teeth. This is my second go-round with ortho after having braces as a child, and I am not the easiest patient to please. Dr. McReath has been patient with me and has listened to me explain how I wanted my teeth to look and discuss what was doable and what was not. He then worked with me to develop a plan to move towards that goal and to adjust the plan accordingly as we went along when it was needed. When my daughter was home from Sweden over the holiday and I wanted to see where I could get her a retainer made in only 2 days time, Dr. McReath's office scheduled us in the SAME DAY, and created a retainer for her. While we were there, they gave us recommendations of where we could eat lunch and shop in the area as well! These people are amazing.
