As a former patient of Dr. Kim's California practice, I can tell you that he is legit! He has great bedside manner, he is very skilled, and he has the highest integrity. He's put on several crowns, removed a very painful molar, and maintained an otherwise perfect bite and smile for me since. Thanks Dr. Kim for all the work you've done. I think you made it easy on my new dentist because I got compliments on how good my teeth and hygiene are from him. If you ever come back to Cali, please let me know so that I can come back to you again. Thanks for everything! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Kim for the past 4 years and have received the best dental care. I have had a history of dental issues prior to visiting with Dr. Kim and have not only been cavity free but have had zero issues under his care. Dr. Kim is very professional and takes his time to review ones current dental health and advises accordingly. I found Dr. Kim to be highly knowledge in his field and keeps himself up to date with current practices and delivers professional care 100% of the time! read more

I reviewed this before and removed it, but decided to put it back up. This dentist misdiagnosed me and if I had listened to him I would have done a bunch of unnecessary work removing parts of my teeth that was not necessary. I got a second opinion, and that is the only reason I found out. This happened months ago, but I would have been duped forever if I listened to him. read more

I just had my first Wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Kim. They took time to make sure I was comfortable, and Jayvee took extra care to make sure I didn't feel any pain....She is so nice and sweet. They are very kind and also very professional, and my Wisdom tooth came out nice and easy....no problem. I give them 5 stars for their kindness and excellent work. ~ Dolly Tun read more

Most people are afraid to go to the dentist, but I look forward to seeing Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim and his team are absolutely wonderful. He is holistic and understands the effects mercury. I feel blessed to have him as a dentist and would recommend him to my friends. I received professionally whitening treatment and I am ecstatic after seeing my results. I also had to receive a crown and he did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable. The office is calming and they have a massage therapist that massages your legs and feet while you are receiving treatment. If every dentist was as excellent as Dr. Kim then there would be more healthier mouths and whiter smiles. Regardless of where I live he will always be my dentist! read more

Dr. Tony Kim is in another universe of quality care, resources and environment from other biological dentists I have been to. I am so grateful that my naturopathic physician Dr. Steelsmith referred me to him. He made me an affordable (metal-free) porcelain crown for my #18 molar. He responded promptly to my many health questions about materials and ingredients giving honest and sound advice. We are fortunate to have him in Honolulu. The Dental Day Spa itself is the finest dental office I have ever been in. Spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated just like a spa with wonderful calming music. Thank you Dr. Kim and staff for making a tough time into a terrific one for me. I am pleased and happy to have you as my new dentist. Dr. Kim and his staff are great. They are very thorough and genuinely care. My husband and I just moved to Hawaii and Dr. Kim helped us out right away. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Also, he has movies to watch or music to listen to while having dental procedures done, which makes for a quick and easy time at the dentist. read more

As my 60th birthday approaches (groan), I wanted to replace my 35 year old veneers. They were big and bulky and my aging gums receded showing a unseemly gap between gum and veneer. I consulted 4 different cosmetic dentists and got strategies & estimates for porcelain veneers. The beauty queen dentist was too Kahala "glam" for me, the dentist who runs a 7 day a week clinic seemed too "factory" for me but super cheap (tempting), the guy in my building seemed ok, but I was uncomfortable that he makes his own veneers in-house and wanted to do the entire project in one day! But my last exploration fit JUST right! Dr Kim is smart, articulate, stylish (yes that's important when someone is designing your mouth), thorough, practical, professional and experienced. He'll spend time with you to understand what bothers you and what you need (about your teeth, lol). He was patient when I went on an mail-order aligner search to try to straighten my teeth on the cheap (he talked me out of that potential disaster). His staff is supportive and on top of what needs to be done. Soledad and Gigi are professional and efficient. Today was a big day - he removed my old veneers and put my temporaries in. WHAT A DIFFERENCE ALREADY! My teeth don't get in the way of my lips. My old big and buck are now shaped smaller and more elegant. Can't wait for my veneers to come in from his master ceramicist in Cali! Until then, it's dainty eating for me, cause these temporaries are fragile. Will update when done. read more

I was referred to Dr. Kim by a family member after having problems with my previous dentist. My doctor before Dr. Kim told me that there was nothing else he could do for my teeth, so I then sought a second opinion. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Kim to see what he could possibly do for me to help fix my teeth and he did it all. He restored an old bridge, gave me partial dentures, and even helped the clenching and grinding of my teeth at night by giving me a night guard. I'm happy to say that since then Dr. Kim has been my regular dentist since then. read more

I really can't say enough positive things about Dr. Kim and his staff. I've had the most exceptional care here and never dreamed I could actually look forward to going to the dentist! The scheduling process is so easy and convenient and the staff (especially Jayvee!!!) is incredibly kind and accommodating. I've gotten last minute appointments multiple times, even for non emergencies! I have a tricky schedule but they always seem to have the opening I need. I came in initially with a badly broken tooth a few months ago (really not much tooth left) and having had another local dentist try and fail to crown it. Dr. Kim was honest that it was a difficult fix but went out if his way to restore my tooth beautifully and functionally. In the interim he also crafted a temporary tooth on the spot so I wouldn't have to go on vacation with a hole in my mouth. I've had cleanings and x-rays as well and have been so pleased with this dental practice. Most recently, I had to have full mouth impressions done for a night guard. I have been putting it off for YEARS because i have such a sensitive gag reflex and even x-rays are mildly traumatic. The procedure at this office was like nothing I have ever encountered. I called at 5pm and scheduled an appointment for the next day! Jayvee told me she remembered how nervous I was about impressions and said she would assemble a special team for me. When I showed up the next afternoon, I had their best impressions technician (Chelsie) working with me - she's amazing! - massage therapist (Ava) massaging my feet, Jayvee assisting, aromatherapy, video glasses so I could watch Netflix, and Dr. Kim helping oversee and provide suggestions. They even had a numbing mouthwash to reduce the gagging sensations. Most importantly, they all offered encouragement, kindness, and such patience. The impressions were done perfectly, the first time, with no gagging or anxiety while the trays were in my mouth. When I went to pay (out of pocket because insurance was not covering the night guard) I found that Dr. Kim had reduced the price for me significantly - and I hadn't even asked! Overall, there isn't a better dental office anywhere! The people are skilled and so genuine and friendly. The office feels like a spa and all the little extras - even a soft plushy blanket for your legs - really show how Dr. Kim and his staff go above and beyond for their patients. You will certainly not regret making this your new dental home! read more

I had a dental implant done by Dr. Kim and every step on the way was done exceptionally well and professionally, from start to finish. A true artist. Takes his time. Listens to your concerns. And his hands are small enough to fit in my mouth! I've been to several other dentists in town and it seems that I was settling for the best of the worst. Not only is his staff courteous and professional but where else can you have a professional massage therapist relax you between procedures? They've thought of everything! Thank you Dr. Kim!!!! read more

I did my due diligence before making my first appointment with Dr. Kim. I've had terrible experiences in the past, which has left me with fear and hesitation. I am happy to say that Dr. Kim and his staff are unlike other Dentist offices. The check in process, the dental procedure and follow up were all amazing. If you are like me and have been scarred by poor dental work, I would recommend giving Dr. Kim an opportunity. He puts the patient first. Many thanks to the staff for making me feel comfortable. read more

I cannot emphasize the professionalism and courtesy Dr Kim incorporates into his work. I have visited Tony several times for cleans up and dental implants. I have to share. I am not a big fan of the Dentist. Seriously who is. I want to let you know my experience with the staff and Dr Kim was outstanding. They made me feel comfortable and each staff member who helped me informed me on what the plan was step by step. Dr Kim was sensitive to my feelings, since I'm a nervous reck and scared. He told me to tell him if it hurts and I was not shame to do that and he just made sure I was comfortable before continuing the procedure. Very Happy patient. I would recommend him to whoever is looking for a qualified, professional dentist who listens to his patients and is sensitive and does a great job. Thanks Doc! LP read more

I had not been to a dentist in 10+ years, procrastinating the whole way since moving to Hawaii in 2007. I searched for Holistic Dentists in the area and Found Dr. Kim's office. After speaking to the receptionist, I decided to choose them and it was a fantastic experience. I had a lot of work that needed to be done and wanted my 3 amalgam fillings removed as well. They have all the equipment and expertise to do so. In the end I had 12 cavities all at the gum line and elected to get it all done in one shot, but due to some unexpected issues with one tooth, I had to go back one more time to take care of the 3 remaining cavities. During the first session, that lasted over 2-3hours, I received a foot massage that lasted about an hour if I can remember correctly. I've never had such service and they also lay a very soft blanket over you during the process. of which was a first as well. It made the entire process extremely comfortable and relaxing. They even asked what type of music I would like, if any at all and if I wanted head phones! After the 2nd cavity filling session, I had a wonderful conversation with the very friendly and knowledgeable Dr. Tony Kim about healing the body through Holistic Healing. A topic I believe we both could talk about for hours. I would highly recommend anyone who chooses to go to Dr. Kim's office for Dental Services to pick his Big Brain on Holistic Healing. He will not only get you on the right track, but will do so with a fantastic smile as well. I would highly recommend Dr' Kim's Office. You will not be disappointed! read more

Dr. Kim is awesome! He and his staff take such good care of me. I would highly recommended him for anyone so is looking for a good dentist!!

Didn't realize dental work could be so painless. Not completely painless of course but closest to it in my over 40 years. He's the 5th dentist I've had over my lifetime. I always believed the level of pain and discomfort was a given and expected (multiple cavities over the years from severe acid reflux and cracked teeth from clenching my jaw). He so thoroughly numbed me, I was fighting to stay awake during the procedure... very bored... he finally had to use the bite block LOL. Saw him 3 times. One for consult and one visit for each side of my mouth. Very professional, thorough and patient each time. The nicest fillings I've had too! So smooth and conforming to the rest of the tooth. Prior work I've had I could feel the edges of the fillings often times. Then erosions or cavities would form within these cracks/fissures and I'd have to get them done again! His training as a cosmetic dentist really shows even for non "cosmetic" procedures! Thank you Dr. Kim! I'll be seeing you again !!! read more
