My friend referred me to Dr. Koga and Dr. Mark's office and I'm really glad she did! I had somewhat of a tooth emergency and when I called to schedule an appointment they were super kind, great communicators, and were able to schedule me in pretty quickly. I went for my first consultation today and let me tell you, they use a lot of newer high tech technology, they are extremely thorough with checking each tooth and explaining what's going on, they not only share with people verbally but also show you what they're looking at on the tv screen as well. The hygienist, Janet, was so so nice and gentle - I really loved getting to know her better. And Dr. Koga was so personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel heard which is super important to me. Because they are so thorough you do need to come in quite a few times but I will say that they'll help create a customized plan for you on how to best take care of your teeth and the maintenance that comes with it. I can truly say "Dr. Koga is a class act. Office and all areas are cleaned and sanitized. Being a dentist cannot be easy when it comes to reviews. They probe your most nerve sensitive mucous system - your mouth - with pointy metal tools hooks and scrapers, stick you with needles saying, "It will just feel like a pinch" as tears run diwn your cheek. Then proceed to hammer drill your painful tooth. It can be worse than you can imagine. Well I researched reviews and came upon Dr. Koga. The calming speech. Taking of Xrays took the place of a cold metal probe tapping my painful tooth. Watching a 32" tv was a delightful distraction. Assistants speaking in a low knowledgeable tone. Was I in a dentist chair? Dr Koga came in and explained in a calm manner what the deal was with my tooth. It was like my brother came in and said, "No worry sis, this is what's going on. A few things can fix your broken tooth". Assts. took very detailed xrays and pics. with incredible high tech equipment and Dr Koga reassured me that what I want done with my tooth can be done. Oh, Im not into pain either. High on my list of priorities! I'll be sure to get my tooth worked on. It wont be a matter of "I can deal with it myself. I'll gargle w/ Hawaiian salt in very warm water". And it will go away. Like I said earlier, Dr. Koga is a class act. I want to go to this dentist! WHAT!? Is that me saying this? YUP! My 99 year old mother started seeing Dr. Koga bout a year ago. She had been losing her teeth due to infections. Dr. Koga recommended extractions of infected teeth and crowns or fillings for the few that could be saved. She could then be fitted for a full upper denture and a partial lower. Dr. Koga also referred us to an oral surgeon who used nitrous oxide for the extractions since general anesthesia was not possible due to Mom's age. Today, Mom just had the last extractions and was fitted with her lower denture. She ate a full dinner this evening, and while we must see how well her new teeth work over time, the results are amazing. Dr. Koga is a highly skilled and caring dentist, and a true artist in cosmetic dentistry. Before undertaking restoration of Mom's teeth, we consulted her doctor and neurologist who gave us the OK. We are so happy that she had the work done and are so grateful to Dr. Koga and his staff. It did take months to get all the work done, but it was worth being patient to proceed carefully. I think that Dr. Koga is a great dentist. I went to him a few years ago for a dental emergency and it was handled well and he was very reassuring. However, in the years after, trying to schedule a teeth cleaning appointment has been such a pain. I had to cancel one appointment because of work. From then on, they would not let me schedule another teeth cleaning and said I would be put on a call list and would call me if someone cancelled their appointment. I received multiple call/texts the morning of to come in that day for a teeth cleaning. Who has time to wait around for a call to see if you can come in for a teeth cleaning? Everyone has lives and work. I've never run into this problem with any other doctor's office. Other offices understand people have lives and need to SCHEDULE appointments and not just wait for a call. Dr. Koga is a great dentist. The problem is: I have no idea how his front office runs. Good luck trying to see a hygienist at this office. Dr. Koga gets 5 stars, his front office gets 1 star, so that's why I think they deserve 3 stars. Also: I forgot to mention Dr. Koga is retiring soon anyway. So, good luck to the next dentist that gets this front office staff! read more

Super nice staff. Dr. Koga has a great chair-side manner. The office is nice and clean and they have some of the latest tools and technologies. I had to have a crown replaced and they fabricated a new crown and had it installed in under 2 hours. Dr. Koga places an emphasis on no pain. He wants to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Dr. Koga's office is a great place to come. I truly don't like going to the dentist, but coming here and interacting with all the staff make it worthwhile. The entire office (including the waiting area) is very clean. Parking is sometimes a hassle, but it's a small price to pay for the level of service that you receive. I love it here. The staff is always friendly, dr Keith Koga always is very patient and honest with me and answers any questions I may have and doesn't make me feel rushed. Vanessa, the beautiful young woman who works the reception desk, is always friendly, accommodating and just so sweet, very pleasant to talk to! She explains things very well, especially with charges I don't understand or any insurance information that can be very confusing to me, she has a great way of breaking it down so I completely understand what and why I'm being charged. Found awesome reviews on Yelp so I thought i should check this place out. I havent been to the dentist in over 5 years but my back tooth was hurting so I had no choice to seek a dentist. I called and made an appt the next day,Although they were busy, they were able to squuze me in. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. waited about 30min in the wait area til i got called in. I told the hygenist my situation and they quickly sat me down and took couple xrays. Doctor Koga looked at the xrays and explained that I have a cavite under my previous filling down to my root. He explained that I needed a root canal, refered me to make an appt with Endodontic in westridge for next week because he will be gone for vacation. Now its a waiting game.. I love this dental office!! Jill the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating to my needs and information I needed. She also worked with me on my scheduling and flexibility with my upfront cost. They will work with you if needed. Not going to the dentist in a while has it's consequences. But the assistant REN was very helpful as well and very informative. She was very helpful with all my questions and concerns I had for my visit. Dr. Koga was very friendly and very informative. I've been going to Doctor Koga since I was little. I remember I was always excited to go to the dentist because the people were so nice and I would get a toy when I was done. When I was young I was pushed into a poll and half of my front tooth was gone, the very first thing in the morning I was in his chair getting it fixed. Now that I'm older I still love going, they still have a big smile when they see you walk in and they're more than accommodating. Dr. Koga is an artist! My front tooth broke off, it was a dead tooth that had a root canal. He replaced the post and crafted a new crown that looked better than the original tooth. What do you do when you when you're looking for a dentist!?? You ask google. Looking through a numerous list of dentist, I happened to come across Dr. Koga. Needless to say, hands down, the best choice I've made. My first visit was for my cleaning. Nora was awesome. She always asked if I was ok or was in pain while she was doing her cleaning.
