The type of care this office provides is top notch, they provide each and everyone of their patients top high quality care -- They accept all types of insurance, and nowadays it's difficult to find a general dentist that accepts Quest. Dr. Tina Lee and Dr. Ran Wei are amazing Dentist, that truly do show their care and compassion towards their patients. I Highly recommend ALOHA DENTAL CENTER to anyone, and EVERYONE who is in search of a general dentist they can build trust and a solid relationship with. It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist due to various reasons. My daughter recommended this place and I need to make it known that any embarrassing thoughts & feelings immediately disappeared the moment I was greeted. All staff members are kind, caring and welcoming. Dr. Dang is direct and knowledgeable. I left my appointment looking forward to getting the recommended treatment done versus feeling like I would be just another money patient. Will be sharing their contact with many! read more

Yo, Yo, Yo, Check it.... I had tooth pains shooting to my brains, and was seen by quacks who were straight wack. Came to see Dr Wei (pronounced Way) and left the Dentist's office smiling Ehhh ;) Lol j/k all kidding aside, the office was clean and all their staff were on point. I'm not sure about the other Doctors here but Dr. Wei had skills and knowledge that proceeded every Dentist I've ever encountered. From the guy who answered the phone, to the office manager that happened to understand how to read X-rays, to Dr. Wei, I was treated really great. He explained everything in a manner that I could understand and fixed my dental problems properly. I would recommend Dr. Wei and this dental practice. Thx guys read more

The people there are very helpful & friendly Dr. Dang did a really good job on injecting local anesthetic Dr. made sure it didn't hurt & the only thing hurt was when he injected the sore part of my gum due to my tooth being decayed. I definitely recommend Dr. Dang to anyone who needs their teeth fixed. read more

Yesterday I had accidentally cracked my tooth and thankfully was able to be seen afternoon. This was my first time meeting Mike, he was at the front desk. He was a friendly, respectful, and helpful young man. Ms. Liz, a hygienist took care of me taking xrays for the dentist. She too was friendly, kind, and helpful. Dr. Wei is very kind & caring and has the patient's best interest at heart. I also met another friendly staff member Ms. Sofia. Also, don't let me forget Daniel, the office manager that came and greeted me for the new year. Unfortunately, it was my own fault that I did not take my antibiotics and so I need to go back for a followup. All in all, I always have a good experience at Aloha Dental Center. Appreciate that they have Saturday appointments available too. I appreciate you all. read more

This was my first visit to a dentist in 20 yrs. Yes. I know...what took me so long. I had a very bad experience years before and could not draw up the courage. I found Aloha Dental on Yelp, read their reviews and stopped by one day after another appointment in the same building. Kayla was so friendly, helpful and reassured me I would luv this place. She was spot on...Vanessa - hygienist, Dr. Cruz, Kayla & Ahley are awesome. Much Mahalo for a great experience & thorough explanation of what was being done. read more

For context I am a nervous patient and critical person. Let me start with the good stuff: - I was able to get a next day appointment - Cavity filled same day and mostly painlessly - Doctor did a great job numbing my mouth - The staff were super nice The other stuff: Issue 1 (incorrect insurance/pricing information) I called this office to schedule an appointment. I let them know I hadn't seen a dentist in over a year and was have a very slight tooth ache. I let them know I had tricare, I was sure I had a cavity and wanted a composite (white) filling. I asked if that would be covered as I have heard stories of the military only paying for silver. The lady who I initially talked to and schedule with told me it would be covered.... Turns out it wasn't covered, tricare only would pay up to the cost of silver and so I had a $70 bill. It was only 70, so I was not too upset but I did ask before hand and was told incorrect information which was disappointing. Issue 2: (no routine cleaning, full mouth X-ray) This dental office only has a few dental hygienist and does not have one on staff everyday. There was no one available to do a tooth cleaning even though I let them know I had not been to the dentist in over a year and have insurance. IMO (not an expert) a dentist office should always start with a cleaning and do a full mouth X-rays. The dentist did not even do an X-ray or the tooth he filled, I hope that isn't important. Issue 3: (less than great spit suckers) The suckers they have in room one are not great, the lady kept switching between 2 of them that seemed to be missing power. Another person popped in to the room to see if there was another sucker, I'm assuming because the suckers in the other rooms lack luster. If you need a dentist quickly this place can help and did not cause me pain (very important) but I wouldn't make this my normal dentist. read more

Haven't been to the dentist in a while and was not looking forward to going but looked up one online and picked Aloha Dental Center. I am so glad I did because everyone, from Mike at the front desk who is so friendly and immediately makes you feel comfortable, Venessa the dental hygienist who is so sweet and easy to talk and Dr Britney Cruz who is so awesome that I made an appointment for my husband before I left because I knew it was the perfect place for him. read more

Excellent service. Mike at front desk did everything he could to get me best price with insurance coverage i had. Vanessa is amazing at what she does. Highly recommended to visit Aloha dental and ask for Vanessa. Best hygienist ever

Great service, they were able to get me in for an appointment quickly, the wait time there was short as well. The receptionist was really helpful , kind and friendly. The dentist and assistant were also very nice. The dentist took his time and checked how I was doing to ensure the procedure was painless as possible. I expressed that I was nervous and was having some anxiety and the dentist was very re-assuring and patient with me. Overall great experience, will definitely be going back for care. read more

Best Dentist in Hawaii Great Doctors & Great Staff Would Recommend Aloha Dental Clinic to Anyone

Staff was super friendly! They were able to see me 2 days after having tooth pain. Dr. Dang did a wonderful job relieving my tooth pain until I was able to see the root canal specialist within a few days. I'm deathly afraid of the dentist and Dr. Dang explained everything he was doing to me step by step during my procedure. His energy made me calm. This was my first time at this dental office thanks to the referral of my boyfriend and each and everyone at the office was very kind and amazing! Shout out to dentist Alyssa Jeffries (Name from appt. notice) and if I remember correctly Dr. Chrissy! Sorry if I got the name wrong! But they did a great job keeping me distracted with conversations as I'm usually nervous to go to dental clinics due to my past traumatic experiences and everyone here made me felt welcomed and the conversations were great. read more

Been going to Aloha Dental for years and have been very satisfied with their services. Dr. Rodriguez is an excellent dentist. Very thorough and caring. I'm terribly afraid of the dentist (unfortunately) and Dr. Rodriguez and the staff made me feel comfortable. I had a toothache for a few days. I could not bare the pain so I went to an emergency dental office the day of and they didn't offer me much option but to extract my tooth and then quoted me triple than what Dr. Rodriguez quoted me for the same service. I held the pain for a day to see Dr. Rodriguez. My toothache caused me to get a root canal. Looking forward to my next appointment. read more

I just want to start off by saying that the staff is very nice and the dental assistant I had was very nice. However Dr. Choi is a character I went in with a tooth ache and of course regular protocol is to do X-rays etc. the tech who took my X-rays was very sweet I apologize I forgot her name... but moving forward with interacting with the doctor. As soon as I opened my mouth he takes the metal tool and hits my tooth and proceeds to say "that's sore yeah??" Now I'm usually all for dry humor and sarcasm but Dr.Choi is just an a**hole I laughed it off cause I thought he was just trying to be funny but he proceeded to knock my sore tooth again with the metal tool after the fact I told him "yes!! It hurts" so now he numbed the area and let me just tell you it's was an experience smh. My mouth is numb and it was my molar which is close to my jaw...he was doing his job by relieving the pain by drilling a hole in the tooth however again let me just say one side of my mouth was numb and I was doing my best to keep it open. This guy started getting frustrated with me and getting mad that my mouth was closing due to it being numb!!!! I usually laugh this stuff off but I want everyone to be aware that Dr. Choi isn't a very friendly guy... I'm laying down while he's going to work in my mouth to my own knowledge my mouth was open as much as I could have it open but he then goes "do you have a condition where you can't open your mouth??" At first I laughed because I thought he was joking but he actually was getting genuinely frustrated with me "KEEP YOUR MOUTH OPEN" he was legit getting mad at me at that point I just wanted to leave and not give them any of my money. Anyways NO one follows up with you and if you ask for any type of payment plan you won't hear from anyone they want you in, pay and be on your way...typical corporate way of dealing with things but that doesn't give the employees an excuse to treat people like that I still haven't heard from anyone to schedule my root canal yet they were so quick at getting me in. And even if you folks aren't corporate owned then whomever job it is to follow up with clients needs to do a better job. again let me just say that the only pleasant experience I had was with the dental assistant on that day and I'm so apologetic that I forgot her name because she is someone that they should keep around !!!! I would not recommend anyone coming here in all honesty though but hey they are quick at getting you in fast however like I stated before they don't follow up with you if you start to question the estimate. I am currently going to visit another office to get my procedure done Hopefully I have a better experience. To the front desk woman who I thought was very pleasant at first i am disappointed that no one has tried to contact me back I want to thank you all for at least giving me meds to control the pain until I can get it done. But I will not be returning. Dr. Choi needs to soften his heart and be more professional towards his clients. let me just add that my insurance that I have is QUEST HMSA regardless you folks still should treat everyone with the upmost respect. It shouldn't be about money you all wanted to be in the dental field to help people with there dental problems that should be your biggest WHY not the money. read more

I don't normally do reviews unless the service is amazing! The first time I came to Dr. Rodriguez, I had an abscess in one of my molars and he helped me feel comfortable when I needed to get it extracted and made sure my mouth was numb before doing anything. The extraction was super quick and the after care instructions were super helpful. This time, I needed a wisdom extraction! I wasn't sure my coverage was gonna cover it, so the assistant made sure I'd be covered before we did anything. When that was taken care of, they did a couple x-rays and sure enough, I needed that wisdom OUT. The process took all of 20 mins and there were absolutely no issues. I was so scared when I sat down and I braced myself for nothing cause he had it out super quick. Both experiences were great, and I highly recommend coming here for any dental needs/emergencies. read more

This dental practice is very professional & accommodating with not only my schedule but with my pain/ anxiety/ etc. I deal with anxiety, and it was great that they walked me thru every step. They weren't rough & they were patient YET THOROUGH. Right when you enter, you're automatically welcomed by the receptionist who is working at the time. Just the same when you leave, They always wish you farewell til next time. Great customer service. Today i came in for periodontal scaling and root planning. Doctor was very accommodating and patient with me. He did allow me to have numbing medicine to ensure a painless procedure. He also talked me through the process step by step. The dental hygienist Emily was freaking amazing. She totally calmed me down prior and post procedure. She even held my hand as i got my numbing medicine bc i'm a total wimp about shots. I then proceeded to schedule an appointment with the receptionist Sasha. She is very professional. Upon my first visit as a new patient and even now, She walked me through payment options and what my insurance covers and what it doesn't. She also gave me great dental advice (: Doctor, Blanca, Sasha, Emily and their entire staff is amazing. *** I trust this practice because they really care about you and your oral health, they're not one of those greedy dentist practices. **** Overall, their staff is kind welcoming and professional. If you have any questions, call them. If you are looking for same day appointments, they do that too! read more

I haven't been to the dentist in a few years and I found Aloha Dental Center on Yelp with a high rating so I decided to give them a shot. First of all they were able to take a new patient within a week and got me setup. The receptionist answering the phone was very pleasant. When I got there everyone got me onboarded as a new patient quickly and easily. Now it comes time to meet the Dentist. Dr. Rodriguez is the best dentist I have ever seen. He has a gentle touch that I have never experienced before. He also brought up removing a 15 year old retainer as an option that nobody ever suggested and then did so in the same day! Aloha Dental Center is a wonderful, family-run dental practice, with a dedicated and caring staff. I've been a regular at this office for several years now, and they have always treated me like one of their own. Receptionist, Sasha is super-professional and always warm regardless of how busy she might be. And Blanca and Daniel are always making sure I'm well taken care of. Over the years I've had a chance to interact with several of their staff and doctors and they have all been caring and kept me feeling comfortable. During the pandemic they've updated their safety and cleaning procedures to keep everyone safe. It definitely helps me feel better about starting to head back to doctors offices. I'm kind of torn about how to write this review, so I'll only tell you my story and keep my opinions to myself. I recently moved to a new location on Oahu, and saw a dentist (Dr. Ho) in Pearl City for a cleaning and checkup in Nov 2018. I am also seeing an orthodontist for Invisalign treatment. Anyway, I recently began experiencing some pain on one part of my teeth, and wanted to book an apt with Dr. Ho, but he was booked for 2 weeks. Worried about the sensitivity, I called around looking for another dentist, and Dr. Rodriguez was available the next day! I thought that was a bit odd, as everyone else I called has at least a one-week wait...but whatever. I went in to Aloha Dental and noticed I was the only one in the waiting room. Soon, an assistant came out and got me, took x-rays, and sat me down in the chair. Dr. Rod came in and looked at the x-rays, said the sensitivity I was experiencing was only a receding gum which was exposing the root, and told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste. Then he said... "However, you have four other areas that need work! I see decay behind these two fillings, and you have a crack in another large filling...I see four in total that need immediate attention!" Four cavities? I thought this was odd, as I had just been to my own dentist, Dr. Ho, a few months before and was in the clear! Also, with my Invisalign, I had been flossing and brushing 4 times a day, and stopped drinking soda! I even use a special 1% toothpaste at night and don't rinse with water! He said I should make an appt for the next day, and said the receptionist (his wife) would give me a quote. Well, she did, and it was for around $850 after insurance. I went home that night, and the more I thought about it, the more I felt like I was being scammed. So I called Dr. Ho again and asked for a quick consult, which he gave me a few days later. After several emails, I finally got my x-rays from Aloha Dental which I showed him. He did an exam, took some x-rays (I had to pay for these, this time), he looked at the x-rays and was shocked by my story, as he said he didn't see anything wrong, ie no cavities or decay. He also said I was not the first person he heard with stories like this about Aloha Dental. (The assistant also said she heard stories about Aloha Dental) Finally, I went to Dr. Kim, my orthodontist on my Invisalign checkup. He also saw no cavities or areas of decay behind any fillings, and certainly nothing that needed "immediate attention". So, without any slander or libel, that is my story. This is my only advice; I believe most dentists don't think patients will get second opinions, but I urge you to do so. We like to think dentists are esteemed medical professionals with high ethics, and when they tell us we have a problem with our teeth, we believe them without question. Well, I didn't, and obtained a second (and third) opinion and saved $850, discomfort, and time away from work. You can make your own opinion from here on. read more

Growing up I had the worst experience at the dentist. I always always in pain, always afraid to go and they always made me feel uncomfortable because I have bad teeth I understand that my teeth need a lot of work done and dr. Rodriguez made a plan to fix all of my teeth. Since going to dr. Rodriguez I haven't been afraid to go to my appointments. He always makes sure that I'm ok while working on my teeth. Aloha dental, love the doctor here. Took my hubby in for a swollen mouth and severe pain. What great care and concern. He was seen right away and taken very good care of. I myself have visited here for my cleaning and also need some work done. First of all, I'm very apprehensive of dentists. After a terrible experience with a previous dentist who hit a nerve not once but twice, I now take Valium before getting in any dentist's chair. Being new to Aiea, I selected Aloha Dental after reading the positive reviews here on Yelp. The entire staff were very polite from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist. As part of my journey to a better quality life I needed to get my smile and confidence back. I googled dentists that specializes in cosmetic dentistry and found Aloha Dental Center. So, I called and spoke to someone I couldn't remember her name and told her I'm looking at getting my smile back and asked about denture veneers. I told her that because of everything I've been through I'm very sensitive and didn't want to see a dentist who would shame me, she reassured me that the doctor is a very compassionate man so I scheduled an appointment for consultation. Fast forward consultation day came. Finding the office was easy and convenient close to everything and highway. I was greeted by Sasha an absolute charm, she was very warming and helped answer all my questions. I was then taken in for X-rays and I met Dr Rodriquez who was very sweet he made me feel absolutely comfortable and the exam went very well he explained what he found what options I'm looking at and most of all he did not make me feel ashamed which is a huge thing for me. After I was done Sasha went over the options and printed it out for me and there was completely no hassle as they understood we had to decide carefully. After I left I made a decision and called back and made an appointment with Sasha. Fast forward to today when I came in for my appointment again greeted by Sasha this warm girl. Once the process started Dr Rodriquez came in all smiles and made sure I was comfortable and Sasha again so sweet gave me a blanket. So, we began work and Dr Rodriquez was very gentle and he explained everything throughout the procedure. His staff and himself are truly amazing I highly recommend Aloha Dental Center to everyone!!! read more

Dr. Rodrigues did a terrible job when I went to him for tooth pain over a weekend. They are open 24/7 but suffering over the weekend would have been a much better choice than going to Dr. Rodrigues. When my regular dentist saw the crown he put on he said the crown was too thin and would likely crack and that I should go back to Dr. Rodrigues and give him an opportunity to correct his inferior work. So I called and explained the situation and the receptionist couldn't have been nicer and scheduled an appointment for me. This led me to believe that Dr. Rodrigues took pride in his work and would make this right. I couldn't have been more wrong. Dr. Rodriguez looked in my mouth for less than 5 seconds and then he started interrogating me like I was a criminal trying to somehow get over on him! I just wanted him to fix the shoddy work he had done but he was condescending, arrogant, rude, and completely unprofessional. He never had ANY intention of fixing his inferior work so why not be honest and just say so? He cost me half a day just to have me come in so he could interrogate, insult, and berate me. Don't waste your time, money, and health to this completely unethical man. read more

If 0 stars could be left that would be the review. This crazy dentist contacted me to redo the work after seeing my review. Like I would trust him after what I went through.
