Due to an accident I needed a root canal on my front tooth and I was highly concerned it would be noticeable. Dr. Rappold did amazing work, I didn't feel any pain throughout the procedure and you can't even tell I had any work done at all. They were also able squeeze me in for that appointment the same week. I've never had any problems with this office, like previous reviews mention, nor have I ever been charged any fees without my knowledge.

Posting here because the review I put on google was deleted…read more I arrived in Sept 29, 2026 and was having no issues until they did the x-ray. The bite device was way too big for my mouth. I told the technician I wasn't able to do it and requested a smaller bite device. I was advised they had nothing smaller and said something about discomfort. I replied that it had nothing to do with discomfort and everything to do with my gag reflex and not wanting to vomit all over her. I had already noted these issues in the paperwork. I had already told the technician about the anxiety over the gag reflex. I can deal with some discomfort. I can not deal with gagging. Brushing my teeth can make me throw up. The technician went to get the doctor, who was absolutely lovely. I asked the doctor about the pediatric bite device and was told they use this one for pediatrics as well. I replied, "Ah, I think I'm going to have to go somewhere else then." I wasn't being snarky or aggressive in any way. It was more of a, "I'm realizing this isn't the place for me," kind of way. The technician asked, "Didn't you come here a few years ago and get xrays? Yes. Yes I did. Just because I was able to force myself to do something 4 years ago doesn't mean I can do that now. I advised them both that I wouldn't be able to do it. The doctor left and I assumed she was telling the front desk what I needed to check out. Suddenly another woman who didn't bother to introduce herself, walked in and started putting my chair down without saying a word to me. Mind you, this is after I had already advised both the doctor and technician that I wouldn't be able to do it. I thought I was waiting for them to clear me to go check out. So I asked her what she's doing and she said trying to make me "more comfortable " so she could try something else. I told her, "I didn't ask you to do that." And she argued with me. I told her, "You didn't introduce yourself and you moved the chair without warning me." Then I said, "What do you mean try something else? I was already advised you had nothing else to offer me." She said, "This isn't the place for you." I already knew that! Like, what? So I got up to leave, went to the front desk and asked if I needed to do anything to check out. This woman waved me away like she was swatting at a flying insect and said, "You can go." I spoke up again and told her she was being rude. I explainedagain why what she did wasn't OK. She said, "Well, I'm sorry," in a very sarcastic manner and I called her rude again. She then very sarcastically told me to have a great day. I told her to have the day she deserves. And she replied that her day is going to be great with me gone. ********* I disclosed my issues up front and ended up being treated extremely poorly by who I can only assume to be the office manager. They have no instruments to accommodate smaller paletes. Thankfully, I was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr. Morgan from All Smiles today and was taken care of brilliantly by her entire team. The difference in treatment was beyond shocking.

I paid $66, which seemed reasonable & did not think to ask "how much for the bite adjustment?" when I left. What a mistake! My second visit was $266, bringing the total to around $335. My insurance covered none of it because of non-covered procedure codes, but the claims agent GAVE me the dental codes that were acceptable, so Dr. Wilson's office could resubmit. I gave them the codes & called 3 times to follow up with 2-4 weeks delay in receiving a return call. The last info I got from the office was that the claim had been resubmitted, but according to the United Dental, as of today, a second claim was never filed by Dr. Wilson's office... In addition, I still experienced pain in the tooth & asked to be re-examined by Dr. Wilson to check the bite again. The office said "too much time" had lapsed since my first visit & he would not help me. I recommend against doing business with Dr. Wilson & his staff. They are more concerned with making profits than helping their patients. They REFUSED to re-file my 2 visits with different codes & DISMISSED me by telling me they had already done so. After spending all that $$$, I had to go elsewhere to fix the problem, which turned out to be a simple fix for very little money.

Their website looked trustworthy and professional--not too flashy. We were able to schedule an appointment immediately and subsequently received extremely friendly and expert care. I underwent several examinations and was able to have the molar treated that very same day by Dr. Hayley Line and her assistant, Shelley. The rest of the practice staff (I didn't catch all their names) were also all very caring and kind, doing their utmost to explain everything as clearly as possible and guide me through the process. I wholeheartedly recommend The Garden Dentist, Dr. Hayley Line, and everyone working there to anyone looking for a good, reliable dentist in New Orleans. Thank you, Garden Dentist. I've put off writing this review for a while, but at this point I feel like it deserves to exist in…read morethe universe. At my appointment, my mouth was fully numbed before I really understood what we were even working on. So I was sitting there completely face-blind, tongue-floaty, and legally incapable of pronouncing my own concerns, when I was informed I needed a crown instead of a filling. What stood out most was the speed of the whole process. Things moved quickly in a way that made me feel like I was emotionally buffering while the dental plan had already loaded. When I said I wasn't ready to move forward due to the out-of-pocket cost, I expected at least a conversation. Instead, the dentist exited to never return, and the discussion was graciously handed off to a dental assistant who, I am sure, had no clue why she was left if the responsibility to explain things beyond her scope of expertise. To this day, I still think about that level of numbness, both physical and conversational. Separately, I've also had a crown from a different visit at this office that has since cracked, which didn't exactly help my confidence in the long-term durability situation. 4 years later, I'm finding myself laying out of pocket for a whole new crown. Overall, I think dental care works best when patients feel informed, included, and slightly less like they've been medically muted before making financial decisions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.

I'm very disappointed in Dr. Nasr and his practice. During my initial consultation, he made me feel…read moreso good about the gum and bone graft surgery (this is right before he collected his fee of $2700) and made me feel as though this was going to be a quick and easy surgery with very little down time. He claimed that I'd have the surgery on a Friday and would be back to work by Tuesday at the latest. Six weeks later, my gums were still swollen, I was still in pain, and I couldn't chew on one side of the mouth. I contacted the office several times to express my concerns, and instead of the doctor or his assistant calling me back, his receptionist called me back to let me know that the doctor would be willing to see me, but I'd be charged an extra fee if the pain I was feeling was not related to the surgical procedure he performed. I then went to my local dentist who checked the surgical site free of charge and helped to guide me through the process of trying to get the gums to heal. When I finally saw Nasr at my eight week follow- up check up, he checked the area quickly and said that it was still inflamed because I'd been traumatizing the gum area. When I asked him what he meant by that, he said he didn't have an answer, handed me a special brush to clean the area, and said he'd see me again in 2 1/2 months. I scheduled a follow-up appointment but never heard back from the office to confirm my appointment. I found this very strange, since I'd received all the previous reminders of upcoming appointments! Was I taken off of the appointment schedule because he knew I had a problem that couldn't be resolved easily and that since the graft was unsuccessful, he'd have to perform another surgery free of charge? I've waited a full 6 months to write this review in hopes that Nasr would try to come up with a solution, but since I never heard from the office, I've finally had to go to other specialists including another periodontist, an oral surgeon, and an endodontist to figure out what could be causing this lingering pain. The oral surgeon believes that too much bone was removed from the site during the bone graft procedure and that is what is causing the pain. Unfortunately, this bone loss is irreversible. Now I will need to either get my tooth extracted or have another gum graft surgery. Maybe if the surgery had been an easy one and it had gone as planned, this would have been a more pleasant experience, but since my case seemed more complicated and the graft failed, Nasr offered very little advise on what I could do to help with the healing process. His post- surgical care was unsatisfactory to poor at best. I would definitely do a lot of research before choosing a skilled and experienced periodontist. I do not recommend this practice.
