I was in the office for exactly 45 minutes!? What?! They are THE BEST. THE BEST! Asked for their super soft toothbrushes and the lady gave me THREE! I was given a bill for $700+ and was told (rudely) that my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure. I contacted my insurer directly and my actual bill amounted to $50. This was only one of many unpleasant interactions with the office. Their manner in dealing with patients over insurance payments, appointments, etc. is so unhelpful and the information provided is full of mistakes. In addition, my new dentist's front office staff mentioned they have had contentious exchanges over obtaining patient records. I understand someone having a bad day, but this is an ongoing problem in their office. I want to believe the managing dentist is not aware of how some of the front office staff treat patients and . If they were aware, I would think they would provide their personnel with training in customer relations. I will not be back.

At my appointment, my mouth was fully numbed before I really understood what we were even working on. So I was sitting there completely face-blind, tongue-floaty, and legally incapable of pronouncing my own concerns, when I was informed I needed a crown instead of a filling. What stood out most was the speed of the whole process. Things moved quickly in a way that made me feel like I was emotionally buffering while the dental plan had already loaded. When I said I wasn't ready to move forward due to the out-of-pocket cost, I expected at least a conversation. Instead, the dentist exited to never return, and the discussion was graciously handed off to a dental assistant who, I am sure, had no clue why she was left if the responsibility to explain things beyond her scope of expertise. To this day, I still think about that level of numbness, both physical and conversational. Separately, I've also had a crown from a different visit at this office that has since cracked, which didn't exactly help my confidence in the long-term durability situation. 4 years later, I'm finding myself laying out of pocket for a whole new crown. Overall, I think dental care works best when patients feel informed, included, and slightly less like they've been medically muted before making financial decisions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.

There seems to be very little understanding of insurance and no willingness to do the administrative work required to obtain approvals. Between the poor communication, inaccurate records, and refusal to handle prior authorizations, dealing with this office has been extremely frustrating. Find another dentist. Any other dentist.

I'm very disappointed in Dr. Nasr and his practice. During my initial consultation, he made me feel…read moreso good about the gum and bone graft surgery (this is right before he collected his fee of $2700) and made me feel as though this was going to be a quick and easy surgery with very little down time. He claimed that I'd have the surgery on a Friday and would be back to work by Tuesday at the latest. Six weeks later, my gums were still swollen, I was still in pain, and I couldn't chew on one side of the mouth. I contacted the office several times to express my concerns, and instead of the doctor or his assistant calling me back, his receptionist called me back to let me know that the doctor would be willing to see me, but I'd be charged an extra fee if the pain I was feeling was not related to the surgical procedure he performed. I then went to my local dentist who checked the surgical site free of charge and helped to guide me through the process of trying to get the gums to heal. When I finally saw Nasr at my eight week follow- up check up, he checked the area quickly and said that it was still inflamed because I'd been traumatizing the gum area. When I asked him what he meant by that, he said he didn't have an answer, handed me a special brush to clean the area, and said he'd see me again in 2 1/2 months. I scheduled a follow-up appointment but never heard back from the office to confirm my appointment. I found this very strange, since I'd received all the previous reminders of upcoming appointments! Was I taken off of the appointment schedule because he knew I had a problem that couldn't be resolved easily and that since the graft was unsuccessful, he'd have to perform another surgery free of charge? I've waited a full 6 months to write this review in hopes that Nasr would try to come up with a solution, but since I never heard from the office, I've finally had to go to other specialists including another periodontist, an oral surgeon, and an endodontist to figure out what could be causing this lingering pain. The oral surgeon believes that too much bone was removed from the site during the bone graft procedure and that is what is causing the pain. Unfortunately, this bone loss is irreversible. Now I will need to either get my tooth extracted or have another gum graft surgery. Maybe if the surgery had been an easy one and it had gone as planned, this would have been a more pleasant experience, but since my case seemed more complicated and the graft failed, Nasr offered very little advise on what I could do to help with the healing process. His post- surgical care was unsatisfactory to poor at best. I would definitely do a lot of research before choosing a skilled and experienced periodontist. I do not recommend this practice.
