Well, this past weekend, I was playing with a Pitbull and the dog reared his head back and smacked me in the mouth. This morning something felt odd and I found the implant bond had broken and the tooth was loose. Being a front tooth, it stands out so I called early and left a message, by early, I'm talking about 6am. They reached out, asked if I could come in within the next 30 minutes and after a bit of cleaning up and fixing things up, I walked out with my tooth repaired. This is the kind of dentist that you want, someone who takes your concerns in and takes care of your needs. I have been seeing her for about four years now and am very, very pleased with her professionalism.

He was able to put on their favorite show while they got their exams and cleaning. I confirmed my appt and then they sent another confirmation text and called twice. They tried to…read moremake me confirm 4 times and were calling a 5th time while I was parking to get there. I had to pull my child out of school to go to this appt and the dentist refused to see my child because we were 9 min. late. I would've been earlier if I didn't have to fumble for my phone for their call twice that day. Dentist has no compassion for patients. So worried about cancelations that they will call you 5 times and text 5 times yet reject children that were checked out of school for being less then 10 minutes late. Now has unexcused missed school time. I've never had a dentist contact me 10 times trying to remind me and confirm my appt. It's borderline harassment. Then reject us when we get there after all that. Response: We were 9min late, not 12. I confirmed my appt through ur 1st confirmation text. Why text patients if u don't trust their confirmation that way? The call from your office while I was parking made us more late since I had to get my phone out, then the call stopped by the time I got it out. So patients who confirm through text and can't answer their phones get punished by being rejected at 10min. I was offered to take x-rays, not an exam. So after what happened, I was not going to expose my child to radiation if we don't come back or get rejected again.

The truth is, on February 5th, I was due for a cleaning and a "try in". After sitting there for about 25 minutes past my appointment time; I was called up to the desk by Maritza (spelling) and told that "it was too early to have my teeth cleaned" (my insurance wouldn't cover it) I wasn't given the option of paying for the service. I posed the question: why wasn't I told this when I booked the appointment originally OR on the subsequent phone call that I'd placed the day before". She responded: are you keeping the appointment? I didn't answer because I was upset and took my seat. Me taking that seat was my answer. Maritza calls the office manager Jamie Montz. She was so very nasty in her demeanor which put me on defense immediately! Keep in mind, the employees had children behind the desk, playing. Out of control. Another employee had a cake delivered by a patient and the 2 people that accompanied him. They were taken to the back to have services rendered to them. A couple of patients... waiting, commented about that. I asked Jamie for a supervisors contact information and she slapped her card on the front desk and informed me that "she was it". I was so HUMILIATED at this point. To add insult to injury; when the young lady came out to bring me back for my "try in" Jamie put her arm out in a racing motion on the employee and told her that "we won't be seeing her today". I think her name was Jordan...she didn't know which way to go, but, I did. I went out the door. What a start on my BIRTHDAY! Long story short, I didn't get my try in for my partial. It's sitting over there. No one from that office reached out to me as of this day 3/4/2026. I did reach a very nice employee in the Garyville office, who put me in touch with her supervisor and I lodged a complaint through her. Something needs to change about that front line representing all doctors on staff there. Color was brought into the conversation. And Jamie made sure I knew that she'd had her say, it was final and "IT" ended with her.

I kind of didn't want to leave. The doctor was singing, "don't worry, be happy," and that's when I thought I can't wait to leave a review for Dr. Coon and his dental hygienist, Tori. She was the best. So friendly, kind, informative; definitely the person you want to see for a 9:00 AM appointment. She gave me a toothbrush for my baby at the end when I told her he just got 2 teeth in and then scheduled us for our next appointment. I hope I get the same team next visit.
