I have been a patient of Dr. K for over 20 years in Diamond Bar. I decided to try the new location in Chino Hills. I have a lot of anxiety about dental visits so I was really nervous for my cleaning. But everyone was so kind and welcoming - from the front desk to the x-ray tech. The dental hygienist, Rachel, was amazing! She spoke calmly and reassured me the whole time, and let me know I could stop whenever I needed it. It ended up being completely pain-free and I realized I had nothing to worry about. first time writing a review...Do not get your dental implants here. Our experience has been extremely disappointing. There have been constant delays, cancelled appointments, and unavailable doctors. We began my child's dental implant treatment in December, and it was supposed to be completed by June. It's now October, and the process is still unfinished. The coordination between the Norco and Chino Hills offices is poor. The staff in Chino Hills even asked us to personally bring a tooth to the dental lab--something that is absolutely not the patient's responsibility. They seemed completely unaware of the treatment plan and progress, and the temporary teeth they placed kept falling off. As a result, my child has struggled to eat, lost sleep, and developed anxiety about her appearance, which has affected her well-being and school performance. We reached out via email to express our concerns but never received a response. To make matters worse, the staff talked about us within earshot of my child, which was unprofessional and hurtful. We've already paid in full, yet the treatment remains incomplete. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking dental implants, especially for children. read more

I am writing to provide additional feedback following my recent visit and my decision to cancel all future appointments with your office. After being quoted an additional $400 out-of-pocket charge for laser treatment, which I understand is not medically necessary for standard Scaling and Root Planing (SRP), I felt uncomfortable proceeding with care. I have received SRP treatments in the past without laser treatment and experienced no problems. Unfortunately, since my previous dentist retired, I was hoping to establish care at your office, but this experience caused me concern. Additionally, I noticed signage in the office stating that a $75 fee is charged for missed or forgotten appointments. While I understand the need for office policies, when combined with the pressure to accept optional and costly add-on treatments, it reinforced my decision to cancel future appointments and seek care elsewhere. Clear communication, transparency, and patient trust are extremely important when making healthcare decisions. In this case, the lack of clarity around what was optional versus medically necessary, along with strict penalty policies, left me feeling uncomfortable and undervalued as a patient. Glad to have discovered Smile Select Dental so close to home (1.2 miles). Making an appointment was very easy, got a cordial return call & after a few questions a new patient appointment including cleaning was made for the following Monday. The Office is new including all its equipment was very modern. Seating area was ample space & comfortable for patients. Front desk staff were very professional & the on-line check-in made completing forms an easier task that can be done from home. From Xray Technician, Cleaning & especially Dr. Attia were all very professional & took their time. Discussed financials with Maria & she explained the procedures I needed & presented options for my treatment plan. My first visit was nice and I got a great cleaning done, but then my next 2 visits were unprofessional . The suction line went out during my filling and I had wait to get another room and ended up leaving after 3 hours, then the filling fell out while flossing within a month. I went back and they started to xray my mouth but said there wasn't enough time in my appointment so they stopped altogether without any X-rays completed. Then proceeded to refill my filling and it came out again less than 3 weeks later while eating. They also let me know they lost my insurance information from my first visit and needed to call and get everything sorted. I initially came here by a referral from a coworker bc my filling had fallen out and I needed immediate dental help. I drove over an hour to go here bc I trusted my recommendation and recently moved away from the area. Just wanted to warn anyone looking into this place. I've been a longtime patient at Smile Select, dating back seven years. The owner Dr. K is such a nice guy, and I always feel welcome here. Their employees are all really nice, and the dental hygienists are gentle and thorough. Dr. K recently started a new program called KLEER where you get two cleanings plus X-rays a year, as well as one emergency visit, for a total of $144 (a value of $367). That's such a good deal! It otherwise costs $120 per cleaning, so you may as well do the program. It saves my husband and me at least a total of $240 per year, and we have the peace of mind of having one emergency visit per person per year. I'm actually in today to use that emergency visit since I had an intense, sharp pain in my upper right quadrant of my mouth, so it's better to be safe than more sorry later. I've referred not only my husband, but also our friend who needed a tooth extracted to Smile Select and we're all really happy with the level of patient care that we've recieved. I can't speak for implants or surgery as I've never needed any before, but if you take good and regular care of your dental hygiene with daily brushing and flossing, then this is an awesome place to get your checkups and cleanings done. Careful giving this company your personal info. Got hired for an admin position and like normal i gave this company my social, banking info and filed all necessary new hire documents with all my personal info. After telling me i would start monday and that I had the job they told me they would call to let me know when i should come in on Monday. They completely ghosted me with zero contact from HR or the owner himself. I sent multiple emails to both HR and the owner and received zero response for WEEKS. I even went in person to try to talk to the owner to see what was going on and the front desk said he wasn't in office. I asked when he would be in office so i could come back and the front desk told me he would be "too busy" to see me. I eventually called back almost a month later and the receptionist (not the owner or HR) said my position was already filled. Have the decency to call someone and tell them you are moving on with other candidates and are moving on. That's a much easier pill to swallow than telling someone they are hired and then completely ghosting them. Their unprofessionalism tells me I dodged a bullet by almost working here. I have been a patient here for several years. First, let me say that Dr. K. is a top-notch, experienced and talented dentist, and a true professional. His staff however, is not. I was sat in the treatment room, received a bib and was reclined. An hour later, they still had not begun to work on me. No explanation, no apology. When the doctor did show I asked her to put the chair upright and I left the treatment room. When I complained that I had been there for too long, all I was offered was, "well, we have other patients." (yes, I know, you ALWAYS have other patients, does that mean you expect each to sit there for an hour+ before treatment starts?) Here is the kicker. When I asked to speak to the office manager, she took me back to a "consultation room." I asked her why I had to sit in the chair for an hour before being treated. The first words out of her mouth were not an apology, not an explanation, but, "Well, YOU'RE rude." So, I've learned two things. Expressing disappointment at being forgotten about makes one "rude," and that, in this office, they are petty enough to delay treatment for anyone they consider to be so. I will also note, that turnover is apparently so high here that each time I have visited, the doctor needs to constantly correct and explain things to the assistants . Some advice for you, Dr. K. Hire a more competent staff and find an office manager with passable people skills. read more

Horrible! I have been permanently traumatized by this company! After paying in advance for the "implant grant scam", I've had no upper teeth since they pulled them almost a year ago in April 2021 at the los alamitos location. I had a random surgeon that I did not meet during my consultation for implants who wound up breaking a lower tooth and leaving another piece of a tooth in my gums . It took 6 hours ! I left my appointment with stitches that were already coming out , covered in saliva blood and tears and no instructions on what to do . After being switched to the chino hills location hoping for a better outcome I've been neglected and even more disappointed! Dr shah is the only redeeming quality at this location. They are terrible at keeping records updated and communicating with staff . I can't get a return call from the owner / regional manager . I've been keeping a paper trail of this nightmare! All of this happened after the fact that I told them I have ptsd . I feel unheard and unimportant. I don't recommend this business to anyone! read more

I'm highly not recommend this dental office to you if you are looking for a high CP value dental office. compare to other dental offices; Smile Select didn't offer an outstanding assistance on the whole progress, it only considered as average. They do accept numerous health insurance, however, they do charge more than other dental offices, such as Pine Center Dental Group and Omnia Dental Care, which both of these two mentioned offices are incredibly close to Smile Select. If you don't have insurance, Smile Select is definitely not going to be your option at all. There are many more high CP value dental offices you can find on Google with a cheaper price. read more

All of them had a different dental plan for me and I decided to change to another dentist. I used a payment plan and paid it regularly and have a balance of over $4000.00 left and they have refused to return the balance to me. I have contacted BBB and the California Secetary of State for assistance and I am still waiting for my money to be returned to get further dental care. If you chose to use them be care not to get financed and pay as you go!! read more

Ok so I'm going to be honest, I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews but they tried to scam me /: they said they were "giving me good deals" because I'm a cash patient but in reality they were overpriced either way. I should have read the reviews before coming here. We finally agreed on a price $1,800 for a root canal and crown, then as if that was not enough they said that they need to add another $475 dollars for "crown lengthening" and that originally it's $900 but FOR ME they were GIVING ME A GOOD DEAL -_-. They said I needed a crown lengthening because they said "I don't know if we can save your tooth" they even said I might need a tooth implant !! Which ranges about $5,500. They were scaring me and adding more and more things wrong with me when all I needed was a root canal. They rescheduled me twice and gave me antibiotics when it was already too late and the tooth infection had grown (I had to go back to the ER for dental pain). They had me come in only to tell me that the dentist that does the root canals was "no longer working there" but to not worry that they would send me to a "friend" of theirs Dr.Patel in San Dimas, I called him and his assistant added another 400 dollars to the total of $2,300 so in the end it was going to cost me $2,700 and some JUST for a root canal and crown! Almost $3,000 ! When we had already agreed on $1,800 at first! They kept going up and up. When I asked for a refund they were not so kind about it, the lady on the phone was persistent that I go "get a second opinion" even though they are dentists themselves ._. She was rude on the phone and said: "ok you can come get your refund" and hung up on me right away. She didn't tell me how or when, she then texted me how to go about picking it up. Man. They really give you the run around at this place. A legit scam. The dentist that works in the Pine Chino office does not care if you don't have money, he will lie and make it worse then put you on a payment plan, the point is, he wants his money even if you're poor instead of just being honest and turning you away. Smile Select called me on Friday 7/8 for an appointment at this dental office for a cleaning because I had missed my prior appointment. It was right on time actually because I was going somewhere and I really wanted and needed that cleaning. I was told that they had an opening as soon as the next day which is today 7/9 and I was so happy for that. I drove all the way there and checked in. They took me back and the ladies took X-rays. The dentist came in and looked over my X-rays and also asked me about implants. He was such a pleasant guy. And told me that my teeth were in great shape. After he left the dental assistant asked me to come to the front to talk to the receptionist. When I went to the desk she started telling me what the dentist recommended. Which were implants first. Well I told her that I wasn't interested in implants because I couldn't afford them. So then strangely she tells me that the hygienist won't be able to do my cleaning today. WHAT!!!!!!! That was the purpose of my visit. I had a special event to attend and wanted my teeth cleaned. And if I couldn't get that why bring me in????????? I guess if they couldn't push the implants they chose not to clean my teeth either. I was so humiliated that I cried when I got to the car. This threw my whole program off. So now I had to go to my car and find a dentist open that was available to clean my teeth this late on a Saturday. Fortunately I found one. Gold Coast Dental in Brea, Ca. It was a 30 minute ride from there but well worth it. Great receptionist, dental assistant, dentist and dental hygienist. They actually saved the day for me. Then Smile Select had the audacity to send me a text about referring people to them. Yeah right I wish I would. I'll never go back there after this treatment so why would I refer anyone???????? I know implants are probably their biggest thing going and a big money maker for them. But don't deprive a person from what they are there for because you can't push the implants. New patient first hand experience was horrible. My bf appointment was at 10am. We showed up at 9:55am. **Prior to his appointment, we never received a call to confirm or an email to print and fill out the documents. 30 mins past. He gets his X-rays done. 20 mins past, goes into a "consultation room". It's 11:11am at this point, the medical assistant tells him, sorry the doctor is held up with an another patient and his dentures, it will be another 20 mins.. 11:40am, nurse assistant comes back.. Sorry... it's going to be another 30 mins. Oh, you're here for a cleaning? we ONLY do cleanings on THURSDAY & SATURDAYS. YO!** HOW ARE YOU GONNA TELL ME NOW?!?! I got my implants 5 years ago and the service here is always very good! They are keeping up great with the COVID-19 regulations. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone that would want to get implants done to get their smile back I am very happy with the way my implants came out. It is the best dental office i have been to in a really long time. The staff is so welcoming, and the dentists are incredibly polite. I got my two dental implants done here, and they made the entire experience less cumbersome. I was anxious and had lot of questions, but thankfully they were more happy than happy to answer my concerns. There is always a smile whenever I enter, and that quickly makes my visit so memorable. My dentist was very patient an all my visits and explained the procedure and the treatment plan in the way that i could understand. Their painless treatment helped me recover faster and payment for my entire long procedure was also fairly reasonable. My follow up visits helped me get to know the staff better, and they are more like family now. I gathered a lot of information about dental hygiene and how to maintain implants. I feel more confident now my teeth and the way they look. Most of my family member can't believe that I had Implants done as they look so real. I would like to express how unethical Dr. Kansagra my mom went to his office yesterday and had a traumatic experience. When she asked him questions he refused to answer. Instead he answered her with "find another doctor". He had no compassion for her. He claims to have 40 years of experience perhaps 40years of experience of mistreating people. My mom left very sad and in worse pain feeling helpless. Today they called her and told her they would be able to help her with an implant that would cost her $5,000.00. We couldn't believe it. It's incredible how this doctor found a solution for himself and none for my mom. I don't recommend this place to anyone! Stay away. read more

After being referred by 1-800-DENTIST I made an appointment. Not sure why they wanted me to go to Chino Hills since I live in Corona. They said I could go to Corona office after getting initial x-rays in Chino Hills. After sitting there for 30 minutes I ask Paul if they were able to get records from my old dentist. He tells me some bullshit about "no because we are not in the network". Uh hello dumbass that means you don't take my insurance. Why would I want to be treated by a dentist who doesn't take my insurance since I only pay $25 total for all services?? Thanks for a colossal waste of my time on my only day off. read more
