This is no longer Loeffler & Pitt dental. Sad for us, it was time for them to retire as we all do…read moreeventually. My whole family, including my parents were patients of theirs for 30 yrs. We had moved from Lancaster for 7 years, now permanently back. When I made an appointment to re-establish care, I was not told of their retirement plans and that the business was being sold, until I arrived for the appointment last February. Shocking was to say the least. I had to check to even see if I was in the right building. Not much of a problem with the new hygienist (still wasn't L & P quality) but I had to return as I knew I had a filling that needed to be replaced. This is when it got ugly. No introductions were made, half the time I didn't even know what was happening as nothing was explained, it was just done, by a dental assistant, not the dentist. She called Dr. Pandit in to look at it and he says it's fine. I finally ask for a mirror and almost passed out--the tooth she worked on was now lower than the tooth next to it. These are my bottom front teeth. Dr. Pandit said that that didn't matter because when you close your mouth you don't see the lower front teeth. Are you kidding me?! Oh yes, he didn't even want to refill the porcelain filling to begin with because "it's on the back of your tooth, no one will see it and those fillings don't last long". I had mine for over 50 yrs. The back of the tooth is still rough, and now he saws down the tooth without the filling trying to level them up. Well after seeing what he did in the mirror (which I was never offered, gee I wonder why) he's now ground down the two teeth into a v shape in the middle. That's when I took off my bib and started to get up. Dr. Pandit suggested I go to a cosmetic dentist or orthodontist to fix his mess. Really?? What a pity that a wonderful practice that I referred several people to over the years, is sadly no more. Don't use this practice, they are horrible.

I used to be terrified of going to the dentist because of bad experiences when I was younger. Dr…read more Pitt and his amazing staff have taken that fear away. I have had fillings, a crown, and various other dental work done here and all with the care and kindness needed for a scary visit to the dentist. All the staff is great, but Wendy, Sue, and Rose always go the extra mile. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Stender and his staff. I chose this practice because it…read morewas the only one of 2 in the area that accepted my health insurance. It's about 25 miles away but worth it to be covered for oral surgery. When I went to Dr Stender's office for the initial consultation the staff was very nice. During the consult, the doctor and his assistant were cheerful. I felt like I was with friends. Dr explained the procedure in detail but in layman's terms. His receptionist told me the approximate copay which was within a few dollars of the actual amount. I left confident that what seemed like a major thing- crown lengthening (bone shaving), was a minor operation. It turned out to be routine and minor oral surgery. In fact, I drove myself to and from the office on the day of the surgery. Dr Stender skillfully applied local anesthesia. It didn't hurt when he inserted any of the needles nor when he did the surgery. I was only there for about 45 minutes from parking my car to heading back home. I had no pain afterwards and I did apply a cold pack for the first couple of hours per instructions. I never took any pain meds and returned a week later to have stitches removed. I had no discomfort or complications. I highly recommend Dr Stender and his associates. He always used my preferred nickname which is more than I can say for some of my co-workers :-) if you're looking for excellent service from competent and personable professionals look no further.

We came in to have a cavity filled and the lack of patience for a pediatric dentistry was insane…read more My daughter was on the chair, under laughing gas and had some tears because she was nervous. She had her mouth open and they already put a device in her mouth. The doctor decided he wasn't going to work on her and said I can't work on her if she does move (she wasn't moving and was hooked up to nitrous) we were seen for a LASER filling. At this point he stood up and left the room, with the assistant repeating "we see this everyday it's not going to work". My daughter was laying back completely still under nitrous- might I add. I asked- so you're going to make her come back again and after starting a service and saying you won't work on her when she has a few tears? (First filling) She was upset that they stopped, I told her we'd have to come back and try again. Then- we go to leave and I ask the assistant as we walk out now what, I schedule an appointment next week to try again? And she says no-the doctor won't want to see her back for six months at least. I said for a filling!? How do they know her tooth won't hurt by then? The lack of caring, patience and time they give is absurd for a pediatric dentist. My daughter was calm and ready outside of having some normal fears for her first ever cavity. Had they taken a moment to slow down instead of storm off, she would have been fine moments later. Instead, she started crying even more because I told her we would have to come back AGAIN. Extremely unprofessional and so disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this place for fillings. EDITED TO ADD: I called around to a few other pediatric dental offices and explained her age, circumstance, etc and they all stated they would NOT recommend waiting 6 months for the filling. I proceeded to call back and asked if we actually are recommended to wait 6 months for her to be seen, what am I supposed to do if she has pain and also how much can I expect the tooth to decay if we wait that long? The girl put me on hold. Then another female answers and says she's the office manager. She started the phone call right away by saying we no longer think your family would be a good fit here you guys obviously don't like it here etc. I said I'm calling to ask questions about my daughter's care for her cavity, I never said we don't like it there. I'm a parent trying to take care of my daughter's teeth. She said yeah well we're going to refer you out etc. I said okay, well the only issue I had was the bedside manner today and lack of patience. She stated that the assistant and doctor claimed my daughter (who I was in the room with the entire time) was "crying hysterically, moving, and not opening her mouth" which was 100% not the case. She had some tears which could have easily been walked through with patience. While still on the phone she did state "you're leaving a google review so you wouldn't be a good fit here" I guess only good reviews are appreciated by staff, but REAL reviews are appreciated by the public. I'm just shocked and blown away by the abrupt, unprofessional, sad, not patient, not kid friendly service today. Yes I left overwhelmed, frustrated and upset. After hours on the phone getting other opinions, I lack the trust in this dentist. I ended the phone call with the dental office manager (repeating myself because I still didn't get an answer) as a parent I'm just trying to figure out if the 6 months is real and if it is- what to do if she has pain, and secondly how much can I anticipate her tooth to decay in waiting that time? And she stated she would talk to the doctor and call me back. Added: they called me back and didn't answer any questions and said we're sending you a dismissal letter I said okay I'll add to my google review and hung up. That's my latest update. Added X2: this company has numerous fake reviews and they attempt to remove their "bad" reviews.
