After the office went under new ownership, I did have a couple of visits where the dentist at the time was very persistent about recommending additional treatments, including Invisalign (it was not Dr. Heap!) Some of the conversations felt more like pressure than helpful recommendations. During my most recent visit, I learned that dentist is no longer with the practice and met the new dentist, who I believe is Dr. Salinas. What a difference! She was fantastic -- kind, personable, and straight to the point. She gave me some genuinely helpful recommendations, but there was absolutely no aggressive upselling or pressure. That made such a positive impression on me. I've been happy with my experience and love this office. I'll definitely continue being a patient here for many years to come!

I was struggling to keep up with several autoimmune challenges and overwhelmed. Every other office I visited I would get a lecture and when I opened my mouth you could feel their frustration and they made me feel terrible. I couldn't change that at that point and only wanted to get better so it just wasn't helpful. I went to three other offices before Dr. Schmitt (even had impressions done at one) and eventually left and decided not to do anything because I didn't want to go back and continue to feel like I was a terrible person and be embarrassed, so I would go another long period of not taking action (years). Every year in my new year's resolutions would be to get my teeth fixed and every year I would take some action and then retreat. Until I met Dr. Schmitt and team. Dr. Schmitt came up in a web search for me and his website seemed different. I liked what he advertised and when I called and talked to Lourdes, it was like talking to an old friend. I have been to some offices where I felt the Dr. was caring, but his staff was rude and difficult and that is not a good solution either, so to have a caring team meant the world to me. Lourdes was the first person I talked to when I called so if she hadn't been warm and caring, I wouldn't have made the appointment and even had the opportunity to meet Dr. Schmitt. She described the office, the process and Dr. Schmitt beautifully and said, You have come to the right place and we are honored that you called us. Not something you experience anywhere else, and it is truly genuine. Never have I felt shamed and I feel that Lourdes, Dr. Schmitt and Jaclyn truly care for me and wanted me to feel better and look better. I wasn't afraid of the experience so much, but Dr. Schmitt and Jaclyn make you so comfortable and tell you everything that is happening or needs to happen and are always calm and comforting and making sure you are ok. They take extra time to do this and you never feel rushed. Dr. Schmitt is an expert in tooth restoration and building new smiles. There is a huge difference in the process at this office and the time it takes to ensure that you have that perfect smile that also is functional and healthy. What happened in one visit at another provider happened over a series of weeks in Dr Schmitt's office because of his dedication to providing quality work. He became my primary dentist and put together a plan with an orthodontist, a maxillofacial surgeon and a periodontist. He decided I needed gum grafts, which were a success. I got braces, which were a success. Then I had double corrective jaw surgery, which was not only unsuccessful but has left me with permanent, searing nerve pain. After I had the surgery, I was informed that Dr. Schmitt was no longer practicing as a regular dentist but only doing restorative work. He told me to find another dentist and to come back when I needed a full mouth restoration. He, quite literally, abandoned me mid-stream with the plan he had laid out for me. Odd, don't you think, for a professional who claims "heartfelt compassion"? For a dentist who It seems to me that, the minute he realized there was a complication in my treatment, he didn't want to be involved, although he had been deeply involved before. Doesn't sound compassionate to me. I was fortunate to find another dentist to take care of my teeth but the whole "plan" that had been laid out for me was dropped. I don't believe a responsible dentist, or any responsible health professional, would drop a patient in the middle of treatment because he decided he didn't want to practice that part of his profession any longer. In my opinion, I don't believe his treatment of me was ethical or compassionate.

I have never written a review this negative before--it takes a lot to get me this frustrated--but the treatment and billing here forced me to speak out. Years ago, I actually worked on the design of a computerized billing system for Delta Dental services, so I am highly familiar with dental insurance fee coding. After this visit, I thoroughly researched local standard charges. I know for a fact that the $700 total fee I was hit with was completely inappropriate. Specifically, I was charged a bit less than $300 consultation fee that makes absolutely no sense because no separate consultation ever took place. There was no evaluative discussion; the actual dental work was started immediately. Charging a steep consultation fee alongside immediate treatment is a blatant, improper overcharge. We do not have dental insurance. As retirees living on a fixed income (outside of my husband's part-time job), a $700 inflation of a bill deeply impacts us. The rest of the charge, a bit less than $400, for the actual work, was ridiculously high, but apparently standard. To make matters worse, Dr. Martinez's bedside manner was completely nonexistent, making the entire appointment highly uncomfortable. Between the complete lack of care and the deceptive billing, I cannot recommend this practice. I will definitely let my regular dentist know about this experience so they might hesitate sending patients here. The other reviews are glowing, so I am in the minority. Maybe many have dental insurance so the ite is not as painful. I cannot imagine how those with a lower income can afford this type of dental care without insurance.

It required an eight hour neck surgery and 33 radiation treatments to stop the spread. Before you can have radiotherapy around your neck and head, you cannot have any dental problems such as teeth with large fillings, fractures, cavities, significant occlusal wear or gum disease. Dr Terezides was professional and experienced. After his detailed analysis, he performed oral surgery that removed a number of teeth, scraped the jaw bones and sutured the gums. The ENT surgeon and oncology radiotherapy physicians inspected his work and all said it was a first class procedure he preformed. I was cleared to continue with the radiation. For starters, it's important to look at where I was a little over a year/ a year and a half ago. I hadn't been to the dentist in YEARS. I'm talking at least 4/5 years. I hated my previous dental experiences & had overwhelming amounts of dental anxiety. My gums were irritated, bleeding, the works. My wisdom teeth were still in, which made things even worse. I could barely floss without bleeding. Starting with my first visit, they were professional, kind, and honest about my dental health status. They came up with a tentative game plan for me & assured me they'd take good care of my teeth. After the first cleaning, the Dr. recommended I come every 4 months or so to make up for the years of negligence I'd given my mouth. So I did that. You guys....it only took me about 3 visits to get back to good health. 3 visits to undo years of dental negligence. That is how good they are. Now, I only have to come the standard every 6 months. I feel zero pain during cleanings. My gums feel good, they aren't sensitive, and I can floss with no blood involved. They even recommended a dental surgeon for my wisdom teeth & I trusted them so much-I got over my dental fear & got the teeth pulled. Which by the way, was also flawless. They did my first cleaning post op & helped me make sure I took care of my mouth properly. I have never been to this office & felt less than welcome. The customer service is above and beyond.
