My second appt was a cleaning also with Dr. Jessup, I was happy with that as well, they were nice and informative. And I had zero pain during the cleaning. My third appt was to get some cavities filled by Dr Jessup, I had no issues with pain before the fillings but now am in a lot of pain and it's been 4 months since then. So I was not happy with that. I went in today for a cleaning from Dr Hutchinson, she was super kind and helpful on a plan to get my tooth to no longer hurt, she said that the filling I was given needed to be fixed and that should solve the pain. Overall I would definitely reccomend the office as the desk gals and hygienists are wonderful and so is Dr Hutchinson but I wouldn't reccomend seeing Dr Jessup. Also the location is kind of interesting to get to but once you've gone once it'll be a breeze to get to again. They do have a parking lot which I appreciate, and the office is very cozy and clean inside as well!

The procedure ran nearly 3 hours and she was still actively bleeding when we left. They close at 1pm on Fridays and we could tell it all felt very rushed. There was next to no post surgery explanation or after care instructions. Just a quick exit and a "we will call you Monday", not even information about an emergency dentist just in case the bleeding did not stop. We were also NOT informed that the crown she received that day was temporary and that she would need to return two weeks later to get the permanent one. Beyond the actual damage done to my wife and their lack of up front communication the. The doctor was defensive when we returned for the follow up crown and took no responsibility. Rather explaining to us how everything was successful and that nothing went wrong. When this was the worst surgical experience either my wife or I have ever encountered.  We still had to pay full price for the horrible experience since all the services were "completed". Sure she did in fact get a crown, but only after a traumatic surgery experience that required numerous staff to be brought in, several days of intense pain and bleeding; and then another unexpected visit just to be gaslit and talked to like we were crazy.  This clinic had EVERY opportunity to make our experience better and they failed to do so. Having to pay full price for a botched job that left my wife in extreme pain doesn't sit well with me and I hope this review is a warning to other folks in the future!

The quality of care is exceptionally high, and the best I've received in any city in the US. I have had positive experiences with many other dentists, but this office stands out because each step of the process is clearly explained to the patient, and even the most standard of cleanings receives full attention. There is always a thorough analysis of potential problem areas, and the staff specializes in preventive care with fillings and custom night guards to prevent dulled teeth from grinding without ever pressuring the patient to make decisions in haste. These types of recommendations focus on long-term care and not just quick fixes. It also shows a focus on addressing dental health early to prevent larger, more costly--both in terms of health and spending--down the road. To attest to how phenomenal the quality of care and service is, I no longer live in Kansas City, but fly in twice per year just to keep Dr. Lemieux as my trusted dentist. I have tried many other dentists in Chicago, but the quality of care doesn't compare. Even at luxury dental offices, there is a lack of explanation and often there is pressure to schedule procedures that seem excessive. For that reason alone, I went back to Dr. Lemieux to get his opinion which I have absolutely trusted for over six years. Dr. Lemieux is a wonderful provider who empowers patients to make their own health decisions after he provides a thorough analysis of the check-up. The staff goes above and beyond to make patients feel welcome and comfortable. Most importantly, they are the best at what they do.

He adjusted my bite and provided excellent follow-up instructions. I look forward to my next visit. Now, how many people can say that about going to the dentist?

Never bothered me or had any pain and each year I would go to the dentist and they wanted to fix it. Finally I had I was going to let them Eric do it. He said if he thought it needed a root canal he would do that at that time. I didn't think it would since I had never had any pain but went with it. Of course it needed to be done and that is when the problem started. In the middle of it I have intense pain. No matter how many shots it still hurt. Between him and his assistants body language something went wrong. They started taking x rays with the dental picks stuck in the hole. Lots of x rays. In a panic they sent be home even though the tooth was being made in the laser printer at that time. When I left there was a fluid running out of my nose but all I wanted to do was get out. They also had me start on antibiotics and come back in a week. I come back in a week and they filled the tooth with calcium hydroxide and fitted me with the crown. As soon as it was set he tells me I will have to have it pulled. He gave me the name of a oral surgeon but I though it would be best to see someone else. Turns out he had bored into my sinuses and filled one with the calcium hydroxide. Yes the tooth had to be pulled. The first surgery was when the ENT went inside my nose and cut though the wall to get what he could from the front of the sinus. The second was when the oral surgeon took out the tooth and drilled through my upper jaw to clean out the back of the sinus. I now don't have enough bone for a implant and need a bridge. Due to nerve damage from the surgery I am numb on that side and won't get that back. End of the story is if Eric had just said "Oh crap I just screwed up" rather then trying to cover his mistake but going on with the crown I wouldn't have had all of these problems, and between me and my insurance company we would have saved over $40,000. Sorry Eric, I have received nothing in compensation and this had to be told.

I tried again a year later and well I got a root canal that seemed a bit rushed. The crown was sitting kind of weird and just overall it was a weird experience. It's been about a year and a half now. Why did my crown fall off, and why did they finish my root canal if there was still decay and infection in it. So this whole year+ a crown has been sitting over a root canal that still has an infection FESTERING inside of my mouth. Which I wouldn't have known if my crown didn't pop off when I was eating....Moral of the story, don't go here. I wouldn't tell my worst enemies to come get treated here.

The waiting area was dated and basic, and the carpet seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The TV was set to MTV which was playing (blaring) some awful reality show about sexual relationships and nude selfies. One of the forms they asked me to sign was a Privacy Release stating that I had received a copy of their Privacy Practices and that I had read and understood it. But I didn't sign it, because I Never Received Anything relating to their Privacy Policy--other than said form asking me to agree That I Had Received It--and at no time did any staff member attempt to provide me with a copy of the notice in response to my refusal to sign. I was not called into the clinical area for my treatment until some 40 minutes after the start of my scheduled appointment time. After undergoing a 35 minute surgical extraction, involving a litany of different tools, a whole host of stitches, and what tasted like gallons of blood, I was provided with Virtually Zero aftercare pain management. I was literally told to 'go and buy some Advil'-- which I did--but it has had almost no effect, and the pain I'm experiencing right now is nothing short of excruciating; my head is pounding, my jawline is throbbing, and eating or drinking is impossible; my entire body aches; the pain is so intense that I can barely see, move, or think straight, and it took every ounce of my strength and constitution to write this review.
