Bad experience today. We used to love this office but today we got shoved into a tiny waiting room. (No toys or things for my 2 year old or 9 month old to play with.) No biggie, i understand they are doing renovations. However, and older hygienist yelled at both my 2 year old and 9 month old when she crawled into the hall and my toddler followed her. I was getting paperwork filled out so I didnt have time to grab them right away. I did apologize but she looked at both of them and yelled "this is a high traffic area get out of the way!!!" As if my 2 year old and 9 month old can understand. I expect to be treated better next time or we will find another office. read more

I have been super happy and thankful for Smedley Dental, which is now called Moxy Dental & Airway. Our family has been seeing her for years and we have had some difficult tooth challenges that she has very professionally handled with skill. I also have appreciated her care to use materials that are compatible with my tolerances after seeing my bloodwork concerning health issues. She understands the hazards of some dental techniques and offers holistic service for those who care about such things. The environment is friendly, caring, personal and highly detailed. This dental practice is not ADA compliant as they use diffusers which makes it difficult, if not impossible, for people with MCS or fragrance sensitivities to breathe as the stench permeates throughout the facility. read more

Honestly, best dentist I've ever been to. They're great, friendly people and Dr. Smedley is really good with making sure to be careful with other health issues. I have a number of health issues including a MTHFR mutation and before I even said anything past that, she said no Nitrous (Laughing gas) for me, which I was about to say I shouldn't have. She really knows her stuff, even with things that half of the regular doctors I've been to admitted to not knowing much about. The appointments always go really quick and smoothly, even when I had to have some fillings done. Plus, however it was they did their numbing, I didn't have the ridiculous day and a half of numbness I ALWAYS had with other dentists. Never felt a thing during the fix and was mostly un-numbed a half hour after everything was done. read more

Not to happy with this office today. My wife took our four year old for a check up/ fillings and things were ok at first she said. Then when our daughter had a little resistance they became very impatient and ended up making her cry saying that her mother would have to leave if she didn't listen. Also calling her by a different name than what her name is. Then after the appointment told her she could not have a toy (did not even see the box or ask about them either)because she was not good causing her to burst into more tears after finally calming down from the first round of battering. Kind of the opposite of making a four year old feel comforted and want to come back to a dentist. Very unprofessional as to not taking a step back and asking if they should try the nitrous to help calm her and finish the procedure. Instead continuing to be impatient and making her so uncomfortable and sad that she was not able to finish the procedure from that, and now our daughter has a drilled tooth and we have to find a emergency pediatric office where hopefully they can squeeze her in sooner than to finish what they were unable to professionally finish. Will NOT be coming back here again. Very sad experience for a four year old who hopefully will recover to be able to feel safe going to a dentist and not scarred forever from this. Where do I even begin? Every time I go here it's always cheery and welcoming. I've even gotten a freshly warmed fleece blanket during my visits. She just did a crown for me today and the tooth turned out so perfect. My teeth all match and looks so natural. This is truly a freeing moment for me because I have my confidence back. I have been a patient of Dr. Smedley's for over 12 years. She is the most honest, straightforward, and intelligent dentists anywhere. She is amazing in that she is always up to date educationally, and is always interested in and open to new ideas. She is so respectful of your wishes too. Her staff is incredible.
