Like my Tampa orthodontist (Dr Toro Florida friends) was family and it was heartbreaking to leave. They didn't yell at me when I broke my braces on Doritos. So I'm here in Michigan currently eating Doritos because you guys. I found my new orthodontist! Okay I'm not eating Doritos yet. I had my initial consultation an hour ago. I had to transfer services here from Tampa. So I saw the lady Glupker. I think Leslie. She was super nice, explained my transfer and gave me an estimate of treatment time. I was expecting maybe four months. It's going to be more like seven. I don't care. I was done paying my orthodontist in Tampa off. I now owe 30% down plus my monthly payment of 135. They did not do a credit check. Some other payment plans may be different but they seem pretty flexible. They do not take care credit. The office staff was SUPER friendly. They seem flexible on hours. I'm excited to start my treatment and will update accordingly.

I ignored it before since we all have bad days but Dr. Stout is not too friendly (hygienists rock and other staff I've interacted with have been fine). I don't know how to describe his demeanor but I guess cold? I canceled my next appointment until I decide if I'm staying or not. I'm either going to move on or maybe see if I can switch to one of the other doctors. Previous Review: I was WOWed from the first visit before even being a patient! They do free cleanings for the community once a year but they made it a fun event and gave top-notch care despite the busyness of getting a lot of people through. The office itself is really nice too, even down to details like landscaping so you have a nice view looking out the window. Well, for when you're not tipped back in the chair but, on my last visit, the chair was giving me a light massage. How cool is that?! The way they do things might be newer but that has been a plus for me (even for something as simple as bite wings not hurting during those yearly x-rays). Just watching their Facebook page, I can tell they do a lot to keep patients involved (like encouraging kids to brush) and they've done some community plus overseas assistance. I think that's fantastic! Oh, and I never feel like they are trying to push any service/product sales down my throat. :)

From the moment we walked into her office for our first visit today, our expectations were not only met but far exceeded. Dr. Mailloux took the time to address long-standing concerns we've had with our youngest son's tongue tie--something we've struggled to get a resolution to over the years. She explained how the tongue tie may be impacting his speech and may even be contributing to crowding in his teeth. Not only did she take the time to thoroughly explain these connections, but she also provided us with a referral to a speech therapist who can help strengthen his tongue muscle and work on mouth motor skills. She even gave us practical tips for at-home exercises, including the use of a particular straw to support tongue strengthening. After years of feeling unheard by other professionals, it was such a relief to finally have someone who understood and provided real answers. She also went above and beyond in discussing how our older son's mouth breathing could be directly linked to his sleep issues and even his ADHD. Dr. Mailloux shared two book recommendations to help us better understand the negative impacts of mouth breathing and how beneficial it is to retrain the body to breathe through the nose. Her in-depth explanation and holistic approach gave us hope and clarity we've been searching for. What truly stood out was the time she spent with us.
