These people are truly criminals. They have a racket where they take a huge down payment and then will steal your money and never again return. If you are approached by anyone named Mako or Nash, run as fast as you can. We feel fortunate that we were only robbed tens of thousands of dollars by these people. They actually did some work for our neighbors and ended up ruining their property. It will take over a hundred thousand dollars for them to fix what this company has done. There should be a legal way to arrest them, but alas, there is no recourse except to let as many people as I can know that they are truly thieves. read more

I cannot stress enough to avoid working with SMB Concrete or the two other companies affiliated with Nash (Seattle Retaining Wall and Cloud Concrete). Since we entered into an agreement with Nash on 9/26, he has continually misled or directly lied to us. The work that Nash has completed was poorly done and will require another contractor to fix. SMB stated the project would take 5 days and they could start immediately. To allow for reasonable delays beyond this 5 day estimate, our contract specified that they would start before 10/7 and end before 10/20. SMB began some excavation work the week of 9/26. The excavation work left large piles of debris in our backyard and driveway, making both unusable. The work then stalled, with SMB being unresponsive for days or weeks at a time, and repeatedly providing misleading new dates for the work to resume. The week of October 11th SMB returned for a couple of days to place rebar for the footer to be poured. The work then stalled again, with SMB giving new dates for when the footer would be poured, only to be unresponsive and not show up when the dates came. SMB also did not show up for inspections of the footer by Seattle inspectors. Finally, frustrated by the delay, we contacted a concrete supplier directly on Nov 21. We notified SMB of an available delivery date on Dec 5. Strangely, SMB instructed us to order the concrete. SMB showed up an hour before the delivery window on Dec 5. However, they did not complete the footer according to the plan, which has the footer roughly 8 inches below the surface grade to allow for a clean finish and level form placement. Instead, they poured the footer level with the existing driveway and alley slope and hand-troweled a rough finish. Seeking a second opinion from two individuals knowledgeable in concrete construction, they determined this will make setting up level forms more complicated and require refinishing of the exposed footer surface next to the alley and driveway. SMB then continued providing misleading dates for when the forms would be placed, and being unresponsive. Given SMB's bad faith in communicating project timelines, the quality of the work completed, and their unresponsiveness, we have instructed them to stop work on this project. We are seeking mediation through the Better Business Bureau. read more

"0" rating. Stay away from SMB Concrete, Cloud or any other name they might be using. Nas..an owner gives you a price..has his "crew" do the work which is not good. You ask Nas to come re-do the work.."I'll take care of it".. "I'll send my handyman to fix it"..Nas has all the excuses not to re-do..replace..nor do you really want him to because his guys do not know what they are doing. He will ask for more money, do part of the work and does come back to finish. They leave debris all over. They damaged our new roof by building their own scafling. Does Nas even care..NO. No conscious. He enjoys taking your money and probably doesn't even pay taxes or uses it to fly to Alabama to watch his son play football. His family really has to be proud of the kind of person he . I went with this company because I had a family friend that used them twice. I saw his previous work and was excited to work with him. I am a single woman who recently bought a home for me and my elderly grandmother that has mobility issues. I let him know (the owner of the company) that I had a month before I planned on moving in. He insisted on beginning the following weekend so that he could wrap up by the beginning of the week. He began working on a Saturday and came late because he said that he was watching a football game (red flag #1). I arrived while they were wrapping up and he said that I needed a curb around the perimeter to stop the dirt from spilling onto the concrete. He tried to charge me an additional 2k for this and insisted that I give the money that day (red flag #2). He said he would return on Monday to pour the concrete and finish the stairs and sidewalk. On Monday he did not reach out until noon to tell me he would be delayed due to rain. When Tuesday came, it was still raining but he still proceeded with pouring (red flag #3). When I arrived there was plastic covering the concrete so I was unable to see the end results and was under the impression it was finished. He did not tell me that there was more work to be done and insisted that full payment was due and that he would be back to complete the rest (red flag #4). This was September 26th. He said there was a death in his family and asked me to leave a review in the same conversation, prior to the work being finished (red flag #5). I was unable to access the driveway until October 10th due to his equipment blocking the entryway. I was appalled when I returned home and saw the condition of the driveway and sidewalk. I paid the same amount as his other clients and the quality of work wasn't even close to the same. The lines are crooked, he left large gaps between the concrete curb and the dirt, he did not finish the steps and sidewalk, and the lip of the driveway is large and rough. I truly feel like I was taken advantage of because I negotiated this deal on my own. When I voiced my disappointments and asked questions about why my driveway looked the way it does his response was that I "shouldn't compare...lucky to be close because of rain...driveway only to park there". I did not choose the day that he laid the concrete and it was him that pushed to complete the job so quickly. On the 19th he told me that a person would be out the week of October 23rd to work on the sidewalk and stairs. He has not responded to my messages and no one has been back to fix any of the mistakes. I have attached pictures of my driveway and screenshots from our conversations as well the invoice that he created detailing that he would fix my sidewalk. Getting the sidewalk and the stairs fixed was a safety precaution that I needed for my grandmother's wellbeing. The stairs and sidewalk are cracked, uneven and don't even match the driveway like he promised they would. This was an investment for my first home and I truly feel hurt and cheated by the way this all played out. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Hired SMB Concrete (WA UBI No. 604 555 114 License no. SMBCOMB807LC) in November 2021 to do a significant amount of work to our property; driveway, retaining wall, landscaping, and deck. Initial work on driveway and retaining wall was done quickly and with passable quality. Work on the deck began in May and that's when things started to get sketchy. Their initial timeline of "two weeks" to finish slid to the right as they cited supply chain issues with some of the materials. They also came asking for more money, citing a specific amount for material costs that was higher than anticipated. I paid them the additional money. Work stalled for 4 months. There were alarming deficiencies in their work I had to fix and I was left with a heaping pile of garbage that took two trips to the dump to remove at my own time and expense. At this point they still had landscaping to complete and claimed in very strong terms it would be completed by October. By November they had sent out two of their crew members for half a day and that was it. Completed less than 5% of the landscaping work. At this point they claimed they would be over more than 20 times but half a day of work was all we got. The number of times we were ghosted during our projects with Cloud/SMB was astounding. Had to let them go and hire someone new to finish their work. I paid Cloud/SMB up front for 50% of the unfinished work and they have been using stall tactics to avoid reimbursing me now for over two weeks. Cannot stress enough how strongly to avoid this company and the others affiliated with Nash and his crew. read more

On March 24 entered into agreement with Nash of SMB Concrete LLC (which also goes by Cloud Concrete) based out of Puyallup WA. Contract was written and signed by both parties and initial installment of money was provided. Job entailed removing driveway and pouring concrete one, fixing neighbors rockery wall, replacing fence, and replacing terraced garden boxes on steeper slope. Job did not start till April 23. At this point driveway was removed (only access to house) and rockery at neighbors was replaced and removed and well as fence torn out. Rockery placed was sloppy and encroached on top of my retaining wall cause further collapse. Driveway was inaccessible and muddy for entire month which is only way to access front door. Driveway then sat for another month until poured (May 19). Multiple times were days scheduled for concrete pour with no show nor notification thereof. It is now November 1 and no more work has been done. Contractor has stated he would start and given dates 13 times. All no shows and no notification thereof. Currently driveway is still unfinished. Forms still up, and finishing of driveway incomplete. Had to haul away 600 lbs trash at my expense to may house accessible and less eye sore. Items to be completed 1)Forms removed and driveway finishing fills done 2) Pour into street is incomplete and needs to be finished 3) Rockery now sliding as done incorrectly, also parts need removing as is encroaching onto terrace boxes. This makes it impossible to replace boxes without hiring excavation crew to remove heavy rocks first 3) Fence torn down and left in neighbors yard and new one not built 4)No work on garden terrace rebuild has been initiated SMB has 70% payment but job done 55% with no further replies. read more
