I have met with many contractors on this same issue, and no one else aside from Groundworks and TerraFirma has attempted to blow our issues out of proportion. However, Noah did offer to do a side by side comparison of the other offers with his, which I did not take. I ungraciously assumed it wouldn't have been attempt to price match, but to take another opportunity to push me more on his proposals. In ALL of my interactions with the work crew, they were respectful and considerate. They worked steadily, and the foreman, Riley, took the time to keep my informed of their progress, answer all of my questions and explain everything to me in user friendly terms. I had trouble getting responses from a number of other contractors on whether they could do a monolith slab for my backyard office/studio project. Ricardo was familiar with the work needed (vapor barrier under 2" insulation, and deep footers to support extra weight, and 1/2 rebar 24" OC). I opted for saw cut contraction joints which turned out pretty good, only a few small chips that'll get filled in with caulk anyway. The slab is 10x15', 10" deep footers with 5" depth in center for $4500. I got a similar quote from others but Ricardo seemed more familiar with mono slabs process. His team was very fast to complete the excavation/framing and was very communicative on measurements and location of things. It took a few days to pour the concrete due to availability of the concrete supplier and weather but it worked out well and the finish was very good, exactly what I was looking for (smooth finish). Highly recommend Ricardo and his team. Will be doing business again.

John has been so kind, patient, communicative, and accommodating while we all had to work around the other contractor. John would call in the evenings, show up after 5:00pm if he needed to, and twice came at 8:00am on Saturdays to be able to squeeze us in after our project schedule went out the window. John is so reliable, affordable, and diligent, I can't imagine going with anyone else. My husband and I are so happy with his work! From the start, he was extremely clear in his communication of exactly what his bid included and what kind of results to expect and also provided other options we could pursue. His work included a generous warranty that covers not only things like cracking and shifting but also if the tree roots lift up the new panels again. As soon as we signed our contract, he and his crew were out almost immediately for demolition over the weekend and poured the new panels just a few days later before sealing everything post-cure. The final price we paid was very reasonable (almost 30% less than other bids!), particularly considering this project included the extra work of removing tree roots buried under the panels. We're happy with the result and would recommend him for any kind of concrete work.
