We ordered from their holiday menu. Service was impeccable - its staff answered questions promptly via FB messenger, and delivery person made sure we answered the door before she left (it's still contactless delivery). They even had another person separately delivered the two dinner rolls that were missing from the first delivery. Items came in a beautiful holiday gift box. My husband is vegetarian and I am not a very talented cook, so I am so grateful that we were able to have a fancier vegetarian holiday dinner without us slaving away in the kitchen. Food was delicious with simple reheating instructions. I was able to feed my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids) with the standard holiday meal for 2 (we also purchased an additional bisque and dessert) by adding couple dinner rolls and an extra side of vegetables. =) We were so full that we had to save dessert for another meal. read more

We asked for a casual, abundant post-wedding buffet brunch for about 40 people. A friend had recommended this group and we had a special tasting before going ahead. It surpassed my expectations. The crew set up a luxurious buffet and kept everything coming as waves of guests arrived -- excellent bagels and lox, egg frittata bites with country potatoes and sausage patties, coffeecake and fruit, fresh croissants and more. Plenty of hot and cold things to drink, too. We ordered their sweet potato breakfast bread for our gluten-free guests, but EVERYBODY tried it, raved about it and had seconds! The team was unobtrusive about taking empty plates, and by the end they had everything washed and packed, leaving our place nearly immaculate. I would do it all over again with Smashing Dishes. read more

Besides the catering business Tony makes a wicked BBQ. We ordered in person and sat in the porch area which is located in the heart of downtown Alviso. There was room for maybe 10 tables including a gas fire pit table. The ordering area was outside as well. It looked like take-out was an integral part of the operation. `` We ordered the brisket, ribs, beans, slaw, TX toast and Mac and cheese. The ribs were meaty and firm and the brisket was rested and tender, both were first class. Nice smoke ring throughout. The sauce was home brewed and was somewhere between Kansas City and Tennessee in flavor I would say. I ordered the hot flavored sauce and it was not very hot. The sides were good but straight down the middle average except the mac and cheese which was nice and creamy. Anything missing? Where is the cornbread? Always a treat to try out a new BBQ joint especially in these times. Tony knows his way around a smoker that is for sure! read more

I had high hopes for this place. So very disappointed. One star because the food looked really good. One star for a decent amount of food. Pricey. The ribs were extremely dry and had no seasoning. The brisket had no flavor. Baked beans were crunchy= undercooked. The potatoe salad was wierd and not good at all. And Cole slaw was edible but but had a twang to it. Hot links and kielbasa sausage was standard, nothing special. And the Turkey sandwich was chokingly dry. Mac and cheese taste like Kraft. Although the mac and cheese with pork was better. I am on the fence as to whether to give them another try or not. Too expensive to be so bad. We shall see read more

My company was celebrating our 50th anniversary on 8/1/19 and I need a cater that could handle 500+ guest and I had the pleasure of working with Tony Caters. Below is the email I sent thanking them for all they did. "I wanted to Thank you both for everything you did to make our 50th anniversary party such a wonderful event. We've been getting numerous compliments on everything, specially the food. Most of our employees have asked to have the short rib and rolling cheese display at every party. As soon as I met you two I knew you were the right people to pull this event off. All of your staff are wonderful and hardworking people. Also would like to thank you for the Chimichurri sauce and platter we devoured it pretty quickly. Jim was thrilled with his own jar of Chimichurri Sauce. I look forward to working with you again." read more

We hired Tony's for our rehearsal dinner and they absolutely killed it. From a fantastic spread of food that was beautifully presented, to a fair number of special requests for vegan and gluten-free friends, they were able to handle everything we threw at them. The staff was super attentive and friendly, and we couldn't ask for anything more. If we need catering for an event in the area, no question Tony's is going to be our first call. read more

We had Tony cater our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. From the initial contact, through numerous emails back and forth as we dialed in our wants and needs for the event, to set up, the food, service and tear down. They were great all the way through. We wanted a simple menu of finger foods and light snacks for our outdoor, afternoon wedding. They had so many choices; it was easy to create an awesome menu and all the food was delicious and presented wonderfully. They also had tables, linens, glassware and the like to finish off the look and feel of the event so it fit our needs perfectly. We wanted to do some things on our own and they were super easy to work with in blending everything. Our catering manager was great. She kept the food stocked and looking fresh, and did all the clean up so we could focus on our guests and our special day. We would highly recommend Tony and his dedicated staff. Great food and team! We had the pleasure of having Tony Caters on our vendor team at a recent wedding. The food was amazing, juicy, flavorful and perfectly sweet for the desserts; but as a coordinator, I am more impressed with how responsive, fair, accommodating with all the world is throwing at us right now, and great humans they were to work with. We look forward to the next time we get to work with them again and encourage you to reach out to them for your catering needs. read more

I called this place twice and left a msg for their sales team per their voice mail instructions. Two days have gone by. No response.

Tony Caters is top notch. Yuliya helped me put together a menu that was just right for my event. She asked me all the right questions to be sure I had the right staffing and party rentals to achieve my goals. She also helped me navigate the ever changing COVID restrictions. Brian and his catering team the night of the event were professional, attentive and aimed to please. We were well cared for. All my guests loved the food and the pricing was reasonable. I couldn't ask for more! I worked with Tony Caters for a previous work related event, and now this time for a family wedding. They did a great job on both occasions. I highly recommend them. read more

We hired Tony Caters for our wedding in Sebastopol, CA. Tony was incredibly accommodating to all of our requests, considerate of our guest's dietary restrictions, and most importantly, the food was delicious! Tony took care of all of the rentals we needed, and also brought a partner named Jackie with him to help style and make the buffet look even more beautiful than I could have imagined. At the wedding, Tony and his staff were on POINT. At one point, red wine spilled on my dress, and within SECONDS there was a crew of people surrounding me doing everything they could to dab out the stains. Tony also prepped a to-go box for me and my new husband because he knew we'd need extra food later that evening and the next morning. Little extras go a long way in my memories! read more

We had our wedding ceremony recently and Tony Caters were our first choice. They had a huge selection of delicious vegetarian options that were super tasty, and the price is super competitive compared to the various other vendors that we went to. The food was super tasty, all of our guests were surprised at how delicious everything was! Best of all, all of our vegetarian guests were very happy with the selections. We used Tony Caters for a holiday party. He customized a menu specifically for our event. We were looking forward to the menu. Unfortunately, we felt that the portions sizes were very small considering how much we paid. No one could go back for seconds because everything from the pieces of meat to the slices of bread was counted out one for each person. The flavors of the food were ok, but the sauce was too thin and didn't stick to the meat, and at first I thought the mashed potatoes were a sauce for the meat, until I realized they were the runniest looking mashed potatoes I had ever seen. The food was okay and for our budget, it worked, but I don't know if we would use them again. :/ read more

Fast service, decent prices, great location, nice patio seating. Food was comparable to armadillo willy's though, nothing to blow your socks off. Brisket was NOT fall apart, kinda dry, Texas toast was a cold brick, mac was the only thing I ate all of. The miso slaw tasted nothing like miso, the potato salad was very heavy on mayo. Service was nice and staff was friendly. read more

Tony is amazing!!!!!! Tony did the catering for my bridal shower. Everything about them was great. I worked out all the logistics with Kristan and she was so great and quick at getting back to me and making suggestions for my personalized menu. Tony was awesome too. Last minute I had an issue with the tables and chairs and he was quick to offer to help! Tony and Kristan were both very helpful not just providing the food but also working out linens, silverware, plates etc. They made sure that I had everything I needed for my event. But wait, I haven't even gotten to the food. The food was delicious! You know how some places have great service to make up for lackluster food? No, this isn't the case here. The food was amazing. All my guests LOVED the delicious salad and the savory mini sandwiches. Every single thing was scrumptious and that says a lot because i'm a pretty picky person. I will definitely call Tony for my next event. They were wonderful to work with. read more
