We asked for a casual, abundant post-wedding buffet brunch for about 40 people. A friend had recommended this group and we had a special tasting before going ahead. It surpassed my expectations. The crew set up a luxurious buffet and kept everything coming as waves of guests arrived -- excellent bagels and lox, egg frittata bites with country potatoes and sausage patties, coffeecake and fruit, fresh croissants and more. Plenty of hot and cold things to drink, too. We ordered their sweet potato breakfast bread for our gluten-free guests, but EVERYBODY tried it, raved about it and had seconds! The team was unobtrusive about taking empty plates, and by the end they had everything washed and packed, leaving our place nearly immaculate. Besides the catering business Tony makes a wicked BBQ. We ordered in person and sat in the porch area which is located in the heart of downtown Alviso. There was room for maybe 10 tables including a gas fire pit table. The ordering area was outside as well. It looked like take-out was an integral part of the operation. `` We ordered the brisket, ribs, beans, slaw, TX toast and Mac and cheese. The ribs were meaty and firm and the brisket was rested and tender, both were first class. Nice smoke ring throughout. The sauce was home brewed and was somewhere between Kansas City and Tennessee in flavor I would say. I ordered the hot flavored sauce and it was not very hot. The sides were good but straight down the middle average except the mac and cheese which was nice and creamy. Anything missing? Where is the cornbread? Always a treat to try out a new BBQ joint especially in these times. Tony knows his way around a smoker that is for sure! read more

I had high hopes for this place. So very disappointed. One star because the food looked really good. One star for a decent amount of food. Pricey. The ribs were extremely dry and had no seasoning. The brisket had no flavor. Baked beans were crunchy= undercooked. The potatoe salad was wierd and not good at all. And Cole slaw was edible but but had a twang to it. Hot links and kielbasa sausage was standard, nothing special. And the Turkey sandwich was chokingly dry. Mac and cheese taste like Kraft. Although the mac and cheese with pork was better. I am on the fence as to whether to give them another try or not. Too expensive to be so bad. We shall see read more

We ordered from their holiday menu. Service was impeccable - its staff answered questions promptly via FB messenger, and delivery person made sure we answered the door before she left (it's still contactless delivery). They even had another person separately delivered the two dinner rolls that were missing from the first delivery. Items came in a beautiful holiday gift box. My husband is vegetarian and I am not a very talented cook, so I am so grateful that we were able to have a fancier vegetarian holiday dinner without us slaving away in the kitchen. Food was delicious with simple reheating instructions. I was able to feed my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young kids) with the standard holiday meal for 2 (we also purchased an additional bisque and dessert) by adding couple dinner rolls and an extra side of vegetables. =) We were so full that we had to save dessert for another meal. read more

From the initial contact, through numerous emails back and forth as we dialed in our wants and needs for the event, to set up, the food, service and tear down. They were great all the way through. We wanted a simple menu of finger foods and light snacks for our outdoor, afternoon wedding. They had so many choices; it was easy to create an awesome menu and all the food was delicious and presented wonderfully. They also had tables, linens, glassware and the like to finish off the look and feel of the event so it fit our needs perfectly. They run a cafe inside Winchester Mansion by the gift shop. Food was good and didn't take long to get. Small selection being some sandwiches and other things. After our two diffrent tours sitting down and having a snack is what we needed before our Bart ride back into San Francisco. read more

We used Tony Caters for a holiday party. He customized a menu specifically for our event. We were looking forward to the menu. Unfortunately, we felt that the portions sizes were very small considering how much we paid. No one could go back for seconds because everything from the pieces of meat to the slices of bread was counted out one for each person. The flavors of the food were ok, but the sauce was too thin and didn't stick to the meat, and at first I thought the mashed potatoes were a sauce for the meat, until I realized they were the runniest looking mashed potatoes I had ever seen. On a few weeks notice, my wife & I decided to have my child's 5th birthday party at the The Tech Interactive on August 17th 2019. We decided to have Tony Caters to provider the catering for the event. It was a huge success as the pizza for the kids and the sandwiches for the adults where devoured and enjoyed.
