Good times and they have instructions! Definitely will be back! Definitely a great idea for date idea

The class was good and instructions were clear. My only complaints or I should say opinion on the business is the hours. They're only open certain days of the week and the process of firing your item takes weeks to finish. Not sure why it takes a month? On top of that you have to pick it up on their pick up window time and if you miss that open window you'll have to set it up another time, which takes another month to get your date of pick-up. Also they don't even tell you or notify you when it's going to be ready for pick up. Btw, to paint your pot that's an additional $11 then it will take them another month to fire it lmao! As much as I like the class I just don't think I'll be coming back in this place again. Not everyone has the same schedule as they do and able to work with their schedule. I've done pottery before at you can pick them up in a week and they notify you when it's ready and then pick it up any time on their business hours not at their pick up time window. This annoys me bc I have a very busy schedule and last thing I want to do is work with their schedule. Maybe this place just needs a better manager and more worker to delegate the job at task so the customers don't have to be inconvenience. For me, I'll go back to Potter Wheel and save myself time bc time = money.

Excellent customer service. This was the first time 'spinning clay' so had no idea how to make anything. The staff was extremely helpful. Thanks

We had so much fun here! The instructors were amazing and helped so much. I came in knowing how hard the process can be but the ladies who helped us make our crafts were patient and helped us in our own individual learning styles. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and can't wait to come back. Pics of the projects before drying, firing, and glazing! (Not professionals by any means lol!)

It takes a couple of weeks to fire the pot and we paid extra for the glaze.

My children (ages 9 and 7) have attended art camp here and they absolutely loved it!!! They were well organized and everything went very smoothly! Each child left the party with a cute painting that was totally display worthy. I highly recommend this studio for birthday parties and their camps. They pay close attention to the Cy Fair calendar and have camps set up for every single holiday. It was a life saver when the kids were bored over thanksgiving break. Love this place!

The Artist Within is an excellent place to take your child for art instruction. Mr. Tom, the owner…read moreand main instructor, is very talented, not just at painting and drawing, but also at passing on tips and techniques to his students. Children and adults, whether they feel like they are artistically talented or not, will come away with quality, unique artwork that they created and a greater understanding of how to continue to draw and paint on their own. I have taken two of my children to The Artist Within over the years, both at the old location and new one for camps and their homeschool art class. My eldest, who has always been able to sit and draw on her own for hours, walked in when she was very young and without even knowing what the business was for said "Oh! I really like it here!" even though she usually did not like any place but home. My younger daughter who is constantly moving and very active loves it too, it helps her focus and learn. Even living an hour away, we came back for a course this last semester. Both girls came away with more confidence, technique, and several fantastic pieces of art. The new location is well suited to creative expression with a beautiful, fairy-land style garden in the back where, during longer classes or camps, the instructor allows the class to stretch their legs and minds on a short break. I highly recommend the Artist Within to anyone who wants more than the quick "paint what we're teaching" style place.
