The owner was friendly and spunky, and the art instructor Matt was a total cutie! I was expecting a pre-drawn canvas or paint by numbers type thing, but you have to paint everything yourself and by hand. Matt gave step by step instruction and then individual pointers if you needed help with anything. They played great music and kept it fun and entertaining. We brought a bottle of wine, make sure to bring your own glasses. They do allow you to bring your own food too, but make sure you bring plates, etc. Bought another "deal" to go back because we had so much fun :) They do offer another deal to go back at the class, but online is cheaper. They also offer to sell you a frame for $40 for your painting, as it is also a frame shop. Not too bad but being the thrifty person I am, I think I could find one for cheaper. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

I can see how they would want to be able to accomodate for walk-ins, but I wish they just took away those easels when the class started so that we could spread out a little. My flimsy easel fell down and almost knocked over someone's painting. Matt was a great instructor (5 stars). He walked around and gave tips and words of encouragement. At the end of the class you can buy a voucher for $24 - good for a 3 hour class and it doesn't expire. I've only been to another establishment for byob painting. My personal opinion is choose whatever place has a painting that you want to do, convenient location, and pricing that you're okay with. The groupon voucher was a plus, but the place is just so far from my house that it wasn't worth it.

ART, GOOD VIBEZ, GOOD COMPANY & WINE!…read more A good friend of mine recently celebrated her birthday at this establishment! This was my absolute first time experiencing the Paint and Sip Scene, and I totally enjoyed myself! I'm so glad I was able to join my friend and help her celebrate, because this was truly a rare treat as I have not been out in a good while. The atmosphere was very relaxing as we sipped wine and champagne while painting and enjoying the music that was blaring out of the overhead speakers. We were allowed to bring our own bottles of champagne, wines, and other liquors. The business owners provided two shots of some type of milky looking liquor called Mona Mint, which did not appeal to me, so I turned it down when they offered me one. I overheard some of the other guests from our party complaining among one another, saying that it tasted weird and they did not like it. See, I'm so glad that I followed my first mind, and turned it down, lol. Furthermore, this establishment does not provide or sell any food, but you are allowed to bring your own food inside for parties. My friend informed me that she was required to pay a deposit in order to book her party. However, other requirements were that half of her party were to pre-purchase their tickets by a certain deadline, and if that requirement was not met in a timely manner, then her party would be canceled and she would not be given a refund for her deposit. The tickets were $50 per person. I paid my money in advance like my friend requested her guests to do, but some of them did not do this by the required date. As a result, my friend's party was nearly canceled and I was not going to be refunded my $50 and nor would my friend be refunded her deposit. However, she made some phone calls to her guests to reiterate the importance of them purchasing their ticket because her party was being threatened of cancellation by the business owner due to half of her party not purchasing their tickets by the deadline. To make a long story short, everyone finally purchased their tickets and all was well in Art-Land. The party did not get canceled but it was a close call. So if you plan on celebrating your birthday at this establishment, please be sure that your guests are well aware of the seriousness about paying by the deadline, unless you have money to throw away. Moreover, the space that was provided for the party was enormously spacious! There was plenty of room for dancing, painting, and for setting up the food and bottles of champagne and wines. There were also plenty of photo selfie backgrounds for taking photos with friends and family. Upon arrival our tables were already set up with everyone's canvases, paint brushes, cups of water, napkins, and aprons provided. The young lady that hosted the party was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. She instructed us on how to mix our primary colors in order to create any secondary colors if needed, like orange, purple, or green. She also instructed us on what to do if we got any paint on our clothes or hands. Overall, the concept of art and wine, sipping while painting, and female bonding, is a great collaboration of relaxing and enjoying art without the pressures of actually having art lessons. It's a fun, creative, and exciting way for one to explore their artistic side in a relaxed and chilled social environment. I would definitely like to experience this refreshing, peaceful, and informal ambiance once again. I rated them four stars based on the friendliness and professionalism of the staff members. Would have given them five stars, but since it's only my first experience visiting a sip and paint establishment, I am unable to make a comparison to another sip and paint establishment. However, I do recommend this business, but please be careful with making your deposit and asking your guests to pre-purchase their tickets. You will not get any refunds if you do not meet their requirements.

They made sure to turn it down when the instructor was speaking. The instructor was more than happy to help if you did or even if you didn't chose to follow the painting, as I did not. They had shots on the house and $30 hookah that lasted us the whole time there. After class was over, we were told we could stay after and finish our painting had we not finished. The only downside I could find is not being able to pick the class painting. It would be nice if after payment they allowed everyone to pick a painting from a few options and which ever template is choose the most should be used for the class.

The classes are really small so you do get a great experience and learn how to do it well. You create the plate and paint it in the same night, so when you pick it up, it's all ready to go in about two weeks. It's so fun to try out a pottery wheel, and they help out to ensure everyone can do it! They also offer premade pottery pieces where you can paint yourself and fire for you. I'll probably be back to do this sometime!

I was a little bit confused on what to do so I'll help y'all out: 1) Select the piece you want to paint from the wall. You bring your piece to the counter and pay for the price of this piece (usually found at the bottom) AND an extra $7 on top for the paint. Don't worry, during COVID you're allowed to come back and finish painting at another time without paying an additional fee again. 2) Go to the paint section and write down the paints color you want to use on the sheet of paper. The shown paint is half 1 layer and the other half 3 layers. You can sit down at any table you want and they'll bring the paint to you. (You can always ask for more paint afterwards). 3) When you're finished, give your piece to one of the workers. They'll fire it up for you and be ready in a week or so.

This location is not all that easy to find. The suite that you take the class in is actually a framing store and they just happen to hold some painting classes there- so the signage outside is actually for the framing store, and there is a little sign on the side of the road that says "Merlot 2 Masterpiece-" but once you get into the strip plaza you have to guess which door to go into. I must have passed the strip twice before I finally found it. For $45 you take a 3 hour class- I thought 3 hours was just too long. Even with a few "wine breaks" we were all pretty much done within 2 hours. The instructor was kind of quirky and she was a fine teacher when it came to the picture, but she was a little abrasive and bossy. She wasn't as personable and fun as the other instructors I've had. What really got me was that when we were finished with our painting, the owner came out and tried to sell us a frame for our painting. If you're anything like me, you're just doing this for fun- there is absolutely NO reason to frame the junk you just painted! The other places I've been to have advised to wrap your painting so that you don't need a frame and it still looks good on the wall- I guess this apart of their sales tactic because the instructor here didn't do that. I can't say I had an awful time because I really had a fun time with my friends! I've just had better experiences with other chains with the same concept in the past and would go to one of those before I returned here.

While it was great to see some familiar faces, it was even better to meet some new faces. We joined forces as team "Strawberry Scarlett" and never looked back! It was almost as if we knew each for the longest of times and we all had just met tonight. If anyone is looking for team building, I'd definitely recommend this place. You work together as a team and come up with answers to questions that you think you have it all together, news flash, who did y'all poll for some of these answers. Lol. It's all good because Strawberry Scarlett stayed on top till the very end. Yes there is some salt in that statement. It was a fantastic event overall. I am thinking the manager was having a little bit of scare towards the beginning and during team assignments (hence not 5 stars). I get it, it's overwhelming expecting so many people. Hopefully in the end she was able to relax because everything was great. KEKE and Savannah (I hope I have her bae right) made up for some of that experience. They kept us hype during game time Saint Arnold was there along with J. Lohr wines and whithaven for our libations. But let's pause and talk about that Knead Me Bakery lemon scone. I love any and everything lemon and they had it right on spot. We also were served some Chuys, tap the mic, jalapeño dip. Yum. Along with Zalat Pizza. Thank you Ms. Britt. Great idea as always. And you blew it out the park showcasing multiple businesses just a short walk away. You're the best! Job well done for sure.
