I stopped by this spot on a whim and was so pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Caprese, and wow - everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what I didn't know I was craving. To drink, I went with the Strawberry Matcha, the balance between the earthy matcha and the sweet strawberry was spot on. Not too sugary, and the matcha had that smooth, high-quality taste. read more

I've seen this booth at all of the local San Diego farmers markets and I've been so curious to try. The highlight of the toast was the fluffy bread and sweet balsamic dressing. Can't wait to try another flavor next. read more

On a trip to San Diego I got the opportunity to visit one of Smashed Avocado Toast pop-up shop at a local farmers market. It was later in the afternoon so some options were already gone, but I was still able to have a tasty option that included goat cheese and vegan bacon. I was hesitant about the vegan bacon, but the lovely ladies at the pop-up shop allow me to try a sample. I must say I was pleasantly surprised about the vegan bacon and now I have added to my pantry. The toast of itself was pretty good. I just wish it was a little more salt In the avocado. The bread was nice and all around a good choice. I would definitely recommend this stand and of course the vegan bacon. The ladies were friendly and welcoming. I believe it was the year round Hillcrest farmers market I visited. read more

This avocado toast was exactly what I was anticipating. But left me waiting to be wow-ed. I faltered between 3 and 4 stars and would leave a 3.5 if I could. It was fairly quick to order and for the food to arrive which was a plus. The avocado toast was very aesthetic so if you are looking for that gram pic it's a pretty choice. It was a moderately priced avocado toast. Being that it was in the farmers market and a "touristy" spot it made sense but I would have been more content with the price if it had that extra spark read more

I have tried this place a few times at farmers markets. I found their bread to be mediocre and tasteless. The avocado that they use is more like a guac spread. I was not a fan, unfortunately. IMHO, it could be much better than it is with a few adjustments. read more

I was super excited that they had a gluten free option- especially bc their regular bread looked so good, I had high hopes for the gf bread. However their gf bread option is literally just the small dry Trader Joe's loaf. And the lady messed up my order of gf bread and I had some regular bread which wrecked my stomach. $14 for two Trader Joe's slices of bread with some avo is insane. Only good thing I'll say is that their banana matcha latte is delightful. Nonetheless I am disappointed and won't be back. read more

Best avocado toast I've ever had (and that's coming from a millennial who invested heavily in ordering avo toast over the years instead of real estate) And don't get me started on the Matcha. So freaking delicious. I don't know how they're doing it at Smashed Avocado Toast, but they're doing it right. The kindest service + the freshest ingredients (BOMB a$$ bread) = a Southern California farmer's market stand that you can't miss! read more

A good day starts with avocado toast! Every time I'm in town I make sure to visit this spot at the Farmer's Market, It's the highlight of my day! Their Avo toast is DELICIOUS and 100% the best one I've ever had. I like to go for the Classic; the egg is cooked to perfection and the mashed avocado has a light, creamy texture. I love the everything bagel seasoning that's sprinkled on top, making this the best breakfast you could ask for on a beautiful weekend! I highly recommend you pay them a visit next weekend and try it yourselves. They offer a nice variety of toasts to choose from such as the: * CLASSIC (avocado, himalayan pink salt, garlic powder, red pepper flakes) * BREAKFAST (avocado, egg, everything bagel seasoning, red pepper flakes) * CAPRESE (avocado, mozzarella, bruschetta sauce, balsamic glaze) * THE GOAT (avocado, microgreens, goat cheese, balsamic glaza great week, everyone! One of the best (if not the best) avocado toast I've ever had! I was lucky enough to try this spot at the La Jolla Art and Wine festival yesterday. Stumbled upon smashed avocado toast as we were walking back to our car after church yesterday in La Jolla. They were out for the La Jolla art and wine festival. It was perfect we were looking for a quick healthy bite to eat before carrying on with our day. I had the breakfast avocado toast which has a egg white on top and my habana had the classic which has bacon. Both were fresh and delightful! Not to mention only took them 5 minutes to make. I saw one of the gals even slicing up the avos. There probably was a pile of 20 or so fresh cutter avos. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and made to order. You can't go wrong with $9 avocado toast and $7 matcha. Be sure to add the strawberries to the matcha. read more

I've had better avocado toast and matcha drinks. Wasn't even good enough to finish. Gave me a stomach ache. It was really expensive for what it is $30 for everything. Looks pretty though so maybe that's why everyone thinks it's so good. There's also no places to eat the toast so it's standing area read more

Well done my Brothers! I am a huge fan of Avocado Toast and with that, may I say yours is some of the best I have experienced. For $8, the classic rewards you with a thick artisan lemon toast, freshly smashed avocado, a touch of garlic powder, a sprinkling of Himalayan Pink Salt, and red pepper flakes. The nice gentlemen asked if I wanted some micro greens and was not to decline such a generous offer. I was a bit skeptical regarding the lemon toast, a Brean & Cie product, but it worked! The lemon flavor was subtle, most favored towards the end of each bit and it paired well with the avocado. Great choice! The Himalayan Salt not only seasoned the avocado, but it really helped bring the flavor of the avocado out in front. An important sediment, because the avocado should be the star of the show. The pepper flakes added a slight zest which was nice, and I really appreciated the addition of the micro greens. Service is quite up beat and supper friendly. They offer four distinct avocado toast preparations with add ons and modifications available. read more

What a cute little vendor at Little Italy Farmer's Market. We weren't really hungry but wanted to get a pic for yelp and insta. They're located towards the top of the market (like if you head towards the dog park). We got The Classic which is avocado spread on top of Bread & Cie's lemon bread. It also has garlic powder, red chili flakes, and sea salt. The nice guy also added some micro greens and balsamic drizzle for us. $7 isn't cheap but it was a nicely presented avocado toast. They cut the toast in half to make it for easy sharing. The bread is a bit thick. I would recommend this place if you're at this farmer's market. read more

If you are gluten free, don't bother. I got the breakfast toast and the bread wasn't even half the size of the regular toast but yet was charged an extra fee despite not being advertised. This place has some dank avo toast for sure! We were so glad we stumbled upon their tent at the Little Italy Farmers market one Saturday morning. The people at the tent were super friendly and nice. We were glad we stopped here and that they weren't entirely sold out yet! Guys the lemon bread they put it on...so good. They actually give a huge thick slice and don't cheat you on it at all. It's YUMMY. I could probably take a whole loaf of that alone and be happy. We tried "The Goat" toast and it was so yum. They have a healthy heap of avocado spread, goat cheese and that balsamic glaze was just perfect on it. Absolutely recommend them for a nice little avo toast fix! Can't wait to try another one soon. read more

WOW!! I've been making Avocado toast at home and boy have I been making it wrong! Shawn and his crew do it perfectly. They use this type of lemon bread that isn't overpowering but perfectly compliments the avocado and they use premium ingredients. They have a couple type of toasts, but honestly you can't go wrong with the classic or the breakfast. I changed up this weekend at the farmers market check out those beauties. I honestly can say I've never had an avocado toast this good and the price can't be beat. Also did I mention the owner Shawn? He is incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to make sure I could get what I wanted(no spice for me!) Pictured is breakfast and "the goat" read more
