Location - Smashburger is a chain of fast casual burger restaurants that try their best to be the local burger joint. Parsippany's is one of NJ's few Smashburgers and it only makes me question, why isn't there one on every corner in this station. When it comes to the food... the regular fries are good, but the sage seasoned fries are better. They also offer sweet potato fries, if you'd prefer. The burgers are great. They have big Meaty Angus beef patties that are so big they barely fit on the delicious egg buns. You can pretty much make your own Smashburger, as they give you a lot of choices among the different types of Cheeses (American, swiss, cheddar, blue), sauces (ranch, mayo, spicy brown mustard, special smash sauce), fixings (too many to list) and even a choice of buns (egg, multi-grain, onion, or no bun at all). The service was better than most places. In fact, they were very friendly, and someone actually came to our table and asked us how we were doing and if we needed anything. That never happens in a place without waiters and waitresses. All in all, I love choices. I like big menus with lots of different burgers and options for toppings. read more

Did you know that Smashburger holds the honor of attaining 200 franchise stores faster than any other company ever? Did you know all buns are sourced from a bakery in Colorado? Did you also know that all regions have unique signature burgers? You didnt?! What you probably knew is that a blue cheese and apple wood smoked bacon burger on an onion bun is awesome. If you didn't know that either....well go to Smashburger... I've been to 2 Smashburgers, the service was iffy at the first one, but the product was consistent both times. That's really the point. My overall impression of the Smashburger chain is it's a good alternative to Five Guys. Their selection of burgers is pretty good and the fries have more flavor than Five Guys fries. If Smashburger started having bags of peanuts too then for sure, I'd go there every time. My only real issue was prices at Smashburger tend to send a single meal over $10, which is a bit much for a burger-type meal. read more

Make sure they take your order correctly. Nice staff. But errors over the phone do occur. Also, if you don't order through the smash app, but order through Grubhub the order does not immediately go through. Employees at smash still need to input the order into their computers. read more

I agree it was good experience. Staff was very friendly. There was manager who was very tall, not dress in uniform asked how we like it there. Food we ordered were great. We ordered mushroom swiss like se reviews, smashfries and spicy baja chicken. And ice team. I recommend this place from outside it did look good, but inside is nice. Smashburger smashed its way, not unlike the Kool-Aid man, into the New Jersey burger scene not too long ago. Mascot Corporation recently opened their 11th Smashburger restaurant in Parsippany in late September and I am happy to report that it is as good, or better, than the 10 other New Jersey iterations of this restaurant. Smashburger is a hybrid type restaurant where you order your meal at a counter and servers bring it out to you. It's a good concept that allows the feel of a sit down restaurant but brings with it the quickness of a non-sit down restaurant. This particular location has an electronic menu board that shows you the smashing process. The text is bright, crisp, and easy to read. The menu options are plentiful with interesting toppings. Each group of locations has their own state specific ingredients which can make for interesting burgers. The food is extremely good. The burgers are hot and juicy and extremely tasty. I prefer these burgers over Five Guys. One of the highlights are the Smash Fries. Seriously some of the best fries I've ever had. They are coated with a blend of garlic, rosemary, and olive oil. The seasoning compliments the fries well. The fries were extremely crisp. This place is a place that you definitely need to check out! read more

First lemme say the service here was amazing. Everyone said hello and I was checked on twice to make sure everything was ok. Then the burgers were very good for the price..... I've had better, but they were $10. There biggest competitor is 5guys and smash burger is WAY better. I love that they offer ovacado on everything. One negative, shakes are too small. Been here twice now since I work relatively close. 1. Have tried the original and the chipotle burger. Both were very good. 2. Their fries are well seasoned and their onion strips are very good. 3. It's fine. It was quick, friendly, etc. I think it's pricey for what you get. You can go to a real burger place and get more for your money. That's my only real complaint. As a non red meat eater, I was pleasantly surprised with the menu and food! -The Occasion: Grabbing lunch on a weekday with some co-workers. -The Atmosphere: The inside reminded me a little of Chipotle- that clean, modern look. When you enter you walk right into a line, place your order, fill your cup then take a seat. Within minutes, a server has your food at your table! -The Service: Excellent! The workers were efficient and friendly! -The Menu: Creative, fun... a little something for everyone! I don't eat red meat, so I looked at their menu online before going (I recommend this if you have never been). -The Food: The black bean burger was delicious!! It was crisp on the outside and juicy (as juicy as a black bean burger can be) on the inside... and the rosemary fries - a little oily.. but full of flavor. -The Total: I can't quite remember the total... but that means that it wasn't expensive (I would have remembered if it was expensive). -The Experience: Smashburger is a great place to go with co-workers, friends or even a family! The burgers were good. The smash fries were better than expected. However my haystack onion container was only half full. And the smash sauce had a pungent tart flavor that i did not much care for. Tried it for the first time with my wife and kids and it was a little confusing to order not to mention the fact that they got our order wrong the tables were very uncomfortable and everything was very salty. We asked for sauce on the side they put the sauce on the burger we asked for honey mustard sauce they gave us barbecue sauce, Your buzzer goes off and you go up there and your food is still not ready, etc. etc. I was not impressed by this place in the least and for the price we paid I would rather go to Fuddruckers. read more

Stopped in yesterday needing to nurse a hangover from the previous evening. We don't often indulge in food like this so I decided to go for gold with this order. I got the truffle mushroom swiss burger, and a bbq bacon burger for hubs. An order of smashfries, sweet potato fries, and onion haystacks--and 2 large drinks. Everything came to about $30 but it was a lot of food. The girl that took my order was super friendly and as I handed her 2 coupons from my previous Yelp experience at Smashburger she inquired if they had messed up a previous order for me and double checked my current order. I laughed and said no all was good but thanks for checking (that's smart and good customer service on her part). I took a seat and waited for my order to get made--they had a new guy that I assume was serving as the runner for both food and overflow by the cash register. He couldn't seem to get in together, but I heard the cashier say that he was new to a customer when he couldn't seem to get her rootbeer float right--(the soda kept fizzing up, so he left half the bottle filled and left the cup of overflowing fizz sitting there---the cashier saw this and quickly remedied the issue). The kitchen seemed to be hoppin and in control of their jobs, at one point the kitchen manager (i assume) came out and assisted the new guy with the ordering screen. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes, perfectly packed and ready to go. My burger was delicious, so buttery and I love the flavor of truffle when it's done right, the bun was slightly toasted and had great flavor. The fries all traveled well and kept their crunch to eat at home. Onion haystacks delicious...who doesn't love a battered fried onion really? Smashburger does it right, we were very happy with our food and it helped nurse the previous night's hangover. read more

On any given day in Jersey, I am always just a 3 minute drive away from a Smashburger. I like most things on the menu here, fried pickles, smash (Rosemary truffle) fries, Jersey burger, Chipotle bun burger, Avocado club, even the milkshakes. And while I do feel that Smash cannot hold a candle to a similar place like ShakeShack, they make an awesome burger that's big enough to fill me up and is always tasty. I love taking a choice from the menu, like the "New Jersey", and adding my own twist on it like a change of cheese, or the addition of bacon or haystack onions. Normally I absolutely love Smashburger. However, this location is not very friendly, professional, or even vegetarian friendly. The staff was unapologetic when they informed me they were out of black bean burgers. When I asked what else was vegetarian, the host responded with "the chicken burger that's it." That is not vegetarian.... A chicken is an animal! they apparently were also out of salad. I got fries. The fries were either reheated or under cooked. We were in there today and what a nightmare. Both of our orders came out wrong and when we sent them back there was little or no change. Bacon burger with no bacon and blue buffalo with no sauce or blue cheese. Could hear the cook yelling and it was almost like they just opened the doors this week........
