More important is the love the faculty has for the children that attend the school. The teachers are second parents to the children. The summer camp is also great fun for the kids. My kids start school this week and they are super excited about what this year has to offer. He had a tough time transitioning and eventually we got him to go for a period of 3 months without tears. 6 mos later after winter break, he was horrified going. He screamed, cried and they would call me to speak to him because of how bad it was in hopes to calm him. They would remove him from the class and send him with the director who he had no idea of, in order for the teacher to just continue to teach. It obviously would get bad for any child to go with a stranger. They would then call me to pick him early. I tried to reach out to his teacher multiple times throughout the year in terms of communication and it was extremely poor. The only time I'd get good communication would be if they wanted me to pick him up early ( also stressful for a working parent). In the end, the new director spoke to us and we decided it best to withdraw him. I reached out to teacher to get in touch as to what the heck happened but she wouldn't respond until the director intervened. HORRIBLE SCHOOL and HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Do not send your kid here unless he or she knows how to fully speak and even then, they could care less about your child. I was told to ask his doctor about separation anxiety lol. I'm convinced something happened there because he went to a new school shortly after and was thriving. Unfortunately I won't ever know what since my son couldn't properly speak and the teacher was terrible in terms of communicating.

I would not recommend this daycare based on my experience with the center director, Nancy…read more My children were about to start at this center, and from the very beginning, Nancy was incredibly cold, hostile, and unnecessarily rude to me. What bothered me most was how little warmth she showed toward my children. She barely acknowledged them and acted as though we were an inconvenience rather than a family considering enrolling our kids. Originally, Nancy told me she could take my son immediately. Based on that information, I cancelled our other daycare arrangement that same day. She then told me that she could no longer take him right away. I completely understand that circumstances can change; what I don't understand is the complete lack of apology or accountability. When I expressed that I was frustrated (which I think is completely reasonable given that I had cancelled our other childcare based on what I had been told), she somehow turned it around on me and continued treating me with hostility. I actually apologized for getting frustrated because I wanted to move past it and have a good relationship with the person who would be responsible for my children. Instead of accepting the apology and moving forward, Nancy continued to be cold and condescending. Then she left me an URGENT voicemail telling me to return my son's paperwork ASAP because he was supposed to start the following week. She specifically told me to come "Friday after 10am. The sooner the better. I need those documents for him to start." So I did exactly what I was told. I went Friday around noon and called ahead, only to be told Nancy wasn't there and apparently nobody else in the ENTIRE building could accept paperwork. Not an assistant director. Not a staff member. Not even a teacher who could simply take the documents and give them to her. I was told she had left early to go home. Again, things happen. People leave early. Plans change. But a normal, professional response would have been, "I'm so sorry, I told you to come in and then I left without communicating that to you." Instead, the next day Nancy looked at me, grimaced, and said in an incredibly sassy tone, "I heard you were very mad." I wasn't yelling at anyone. I wasn't disrespectful. I simply said, "Oh, I was told to come." Apparently, even expecting someone to take responsibility for the instructions THEY gave you is too much to ask. The entire experience left me feeling like Nancy was doing me some enormous favor by allowing my children to attend her daycare. I have never dealt with a childcare director who made a parent feel so unwelcome. We loved our previous daycare before moving. Anytime I had an issue or frustration, the director listened, tried to troubleshoot, and genuinely cared about making things right. That is what I expect from someone in charge of a childcare center. I would not feel comfortable leaving my children in the care of someone who treated their mother this way, and I ultimately decided that this was not a place I wanted my children attending. Nancy, you weren't doing me a favor. You were running a business. and you lost a family that was prepared to spend roughly $40,000 a year with your center. There are plenty of childcare options. I would choose one where the director actually seems happy to have my children there.

Its funny, I would never think to review a school on yelp... But after seeing the rating so low,…read moreone can assume its because its one salty person and too few reviews. The school is incredible. I will be sending all my children there after only one year of my son going. Class sizes are small, STEM is a major focus, teachers are qualified, and expectations are high.. both academically as well as conduct standpoint. Staff/Admin/Teachers are among some of the most caring and friendly you will meet. When taking a tour led by 8th grade students, I was blown away by the maturity, confidence and composure of these 12/13 year olds. This year, my family had the misfortune of dealing with the diagnosis of a serious illness that I received. When notified, the amount of support and love that my family received was incredible. They offered before/after care... they gave cell phone numbers etc... The community atmosphere there is incredible. All that said, its not for everyone. As mentioned above there are expectations, there is religion and morals, and if your children need to be reprimanded for poor behavior, then they will provide that as well. We have found that most other parents that have a hard time following the rules are the ones who seem to have the most "problems"... The doors open at a certain time for a reason. The children are let out a certain way, for a reason. They ask for certain snacks not to be sent to school for a reason... And it seems the parents who have to complain the loudest about these rules, rather than just accepting them as part of enrollment in this school, perhaps should consider a different school. We have found that being cooperative, following the rules and being personable has lead to a fantastic experience. In my business, if my clients are difficult to work with, they have a much different experience than those who are a pleasure to work with.
