I took my old desk top into Smartsystems,intc to have my data transferred to my new lap top, I asked the technician if all my information was transferred to my new lap top and his answer was yes. his comment was that all the information was transferred to my new lap top. 10 days to 2 weeks later I called smartsyestems and akked to speak to Alex, I told Alex that I was missing my archives and all the priceless information that I had collected for 13 years, pictures of my grandkids, weddings, antique cars that I have owned. Alex tried different recovery attempts and at the end Alex told me that all my documents were lost and could not be recovered. 13 years of priceless documents.at some time latter Scott Moody the owner would not refund me the $42,50 I paid to have all the documents transferred from my old desk top to my new lap top . I recently brought my computer in to remove McAfee and have the virus protection software Eset installed instead. The techs were extremely knowledgeable and got my laptop back to me in record time. They also added other malware protection software at no extra charge. I am extremely happy with the service I received and plan to go back for any of my computer issues in the future. I took my laptop which was less than one year old in for hinge repair and in the process of TRYING to replace the hinge they cracked the mother board and scrubbed the hard drive. Do not go to this place. they have moved to a location on Main st but the horrible reputation follows them. read more
