We hired Mark for two different home inspections. If it were not for Mark's thorough inspections,…read morewe would have bought a house with some seriously hidden structural flaws. He encouraged us to follow him around and ask anything that comes to mind. I learned so much from him. He's just as quick to point out what is good about the home as what is wrong. Would certainly encourage my friends to use WA Home and Energy.

WOW My wife and I were thoroughly pleased with our contact with this company…read more The owner, Eric, is the person that did our inspection. He arrived promptly on time and began by initially asking us about our major concern (excessive winter heat bills) and then explained what the inspection would include. The blower door test along with the thermal imaging revealed numerous areas, such as ceiling light cans, along with more obvious insulation needs requiring attention. He laid out initial steps to take to address our heating bill concerns and the best people to contact for the individual tasks. But what made this visit with Eric special was his friendly, thorough and caring manner and our sense of his perceptible honesty and integrity. The inspection itself was not that expensive but the value to us was---------PRICELESS.

They came out and offered to make things but they not fixed it. The repairs were more than estimated. They said there was more additional work after the original estimate. And, found even more work while finishing up. I have had somebe check their work and appears that repairs have been made. But I would not recommend them as itvwill cost you.

Kyle came out and assessed our home for possibly getting extra insulation in the attic crawl space. That's not what we need and he was honest enough to tell us that. Then he came up with some options to address our issues of extremely high winter power bills and why we might be able to change this with some insulation in the crawl space UNDER the house where a great portion of our heat ducting is. What he said makes complete sense since our summertime AC usage does not cause our power bill to go through the stratosphere. Honest and on time! Actually, called because he could come a bit earlier and that was just perfect for us. He spent a lot of time investigating issues. Echo Energy appears to be a keeper.

We also use them for various and sundry electrical fixes, like the sump pump and garage lights. They also replaced our water heater (15 year old dev quality) and fixed the water step down from the street. They are very professional and bonded. They also do extra stuff like take the old generator to a neighbor down the road when they put in the new one. Their permits line our fuse box and they installed a whole house surge protector while they were doing another job, so $50 my cost. Thank you so much for helping this retired couple keep up with upkeep of our house.

It was uncomfortable for me since he didn't try to be patient or at least hide his disdain. When I asked how would they remove the rat feces, he said they don't. They just lay the vapor barrier over the turds and hope you never bother to look. After reading the other reviews, it's sad that other customers had to discover this after paying thousands of dollars for a cleaning. Scott thought my request was unacceptable by saying "what do you want us to do, pick each one with tweezers". Haha! That is literally their job (aside from the tweezers)!! . I told Scott that it wouldn't work for me and he literally insulted me. I asked him to leave and I said that it was unprofessional. He said he disagreed and left the gate open when he left. Good lord. I called to give feedback to the manager but never got a call back so I thought I'd let others know, especially for women home owners.
