I have witnessed children running from teachers, hitting and spitting at teachers, and jumping from furniture. I have also heard teachers express how stressed and burned out they feel. Many have shared that they are frustrated and saddened that they are unable to enjoy their jobs and the children the way they once did. High ratios, challenging behaviors, and a lack of support and communication from leadership have made it difficult for teachers to provide the quality care they want to provide. It is unfortunate because The Nest has the potential to be a really nice school. The school promotes the core values of Wellness, Kindness, and Fun, but in my experience, those values are not consistently reflected in the day-to-day environment. The best aspects of the school are the playground and the spacious classrooms. Unfortunately, both would benefit from better upkeep and maintenance. Most of the teachers I have interacted with are friendly, caring, and genuinely good with the children. It is clear, however, how much the current environment has contributed to their stress. Considering the high tuition, high classroom ratios, and concerns regarding communication and support from management, I would not currently recommend this school. I believe significant improvements in staffing, classroom support, communication, and overall leadership would be needed before I could recommend it to families or prospective employees.

My daughter attended this daycare, and the experience was deeply disappointing and concerning. The staff is not only unprofessional but also lacks the basic warmth and compassion that every child deserves. Ms. Sonya, the assistant director, is especially rude, mean-spirited, and disrespectful to both children and parents. I once overheard her speaking to a crying infant at the end of the day saying, "I don't care if you're crying, ya mama is late, so I don't know what to tell ya." No attempt to comfort the baby--just coldness. That level of indifference toward a child is unacceptable. Ms. Lisa, the director, is no better. She is rarely around and completely disengaged from the day-to-day. When she is present, her professionalism is seriously lacking. There is no leadership, no accountability, and no positive tone set for the staff. Many of the caregivers appear lazy and inattentive, clearly counting on the fact that most parents aren't actively watching the cameras. It's telling that so many children walk in crying--and continue to cry even after weeks or months of attendance. This is not a safe or nurturing place for any child. Please do your research and read all reviews carefully before enrolling your child. I truly regret trusting them with mine. Courtney the owner of this business is a fraud and does not care about families and children well being! It's just a money maker for them! They have been able to accommodate my part-time schedule, which I really appreciate. I do wish they allowed parents to choose any days they wanted, but I currently have her enrolled on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule. One thing I really love is that every teacher seems to know my daughter by name. Even teachers who aren't in her classroom know who she is, and that brings me so much joy and comfort as a parent. It makes me feel like the staff genuinely pays attention to the children and cares about them. The first two weeks were definitely tough. Separation anxiety was hard on both of us, but thankfully, it got much better. Now, when I drop her off, she smiles and doesn't cry anymore, which makes me feel so much better! Another thing I really like about the school is that they have cameras that parents can access. The cameras aren't available 24 hours a day, but parents are allowed six 5-minute viewing sessions, which still gives me the opportunity to check in on her throughout the day. Overall, our experience has been very positive so far. I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family. Two months in, and so far, so good!
