If you have the chance of getting your issue resolved in a single visit, consider yourself extremely lucky.
Our refrigerator failed on April 26, 2026. Over the next seven weeks, Samsung assigned our warranty repair to Smart Care. During that time, 16 appointments were scheduled, but Smart Care only appeared for approximately five of them. The remaining appointments were either cancelled, rescheduled, or missed.
When technicians did arrive, they repeatedly diagnosed new issues, ordered incorrect parts, or arrived without the parts necessary to perform the repair. On one visit, they arrived without the compressor that had already been identified as needing replacement.
After eventually replacing the compressor, step valve, and dryer assembly, the refrigerator performed worse than before the repair. Cooling performance declined further, ice production stopped completely, and a subsequent diagnosis identified a refrigerant leak at the exact location of the repair work that Smart Care had performed. This leak did not exist prior to their repair attempt. Ultimately, Samsung resolved the issue through their refund process because Smart Care was unable to restore the refrigerator to working condition after multiple repair attempts.
After additional missed and rescheduled appointments following that diagnosis, I escalated the matter directly with Samsung. Ultimately, Samsung resolved the issue through their refund process because Smart Care was unable to restore the refrigerator to working condition.
Seven weeks without a functioning refrigerator is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen, but repeated missed appointments, arriving without required parts, and introducing a leak into the sealed system during a warranty repair reflect a level of service that I cannot recommend. read more
