I've seen armed guard one time which is interesting. It has most of the stuff you expect from a Chinese supermarket so not much to say here. The checkout is one single line to the right so don't line up at the checkout counters and look for the small sign.

I asked a question in the produce section, and the employee's response came across as unprofessional and uninterested, as if he didn't want to be there. The produce itself was far from fresh--many of the tomatoes looked like they were on the verge of spoiling, and the prices didn't match the quality. As I continued shopping, I noticed that overall, prices were noticeably higher than at WinCo. At express checkout, one of my items wouldn't scan. I asked the cashier for help, but she seemed annoyed, like I was inconveniencing her. She had been sitting there on her phone and only responded after I tried multiple times to scan the item myself. I wanted to support a local store, especially given how many businesses in Antioch are closing. But when customers are treated with indifference and rudeness, it's easy to understand why that happens. I hope management addresses this and reminds staff of the importance of good customer service.

The corn on top of ice was super fresh and sweet. At 0.33 cents a cob it was a bargain (Limit 6). It boasted a vast produce and frozen section (heck most areas were huge) and good prices. While it was packed and lines long, they had a ton of register open so the lines moved fast. They also have a small pizza shop selling slices etc. The store only takes cash or debit. The parking lot is vast and we had no issues despite it being Friday at 5PM.

Then a clerk comes up and he proceeds to ask about hearing him over the walkie talkies, meanwhile the new clerk blows her nose, messes with her tissue a few times, puts it in her apron and starts touching my food items! Having said that, part of the fun is that you never know what you might find. Sometimes, you'll find high-end products (eg. wine, cheese, speciality items) at a reduced price. I'm giving them a "4" because I love the pricing and the interesting items I tend to find there (can you say offbeat seasonal novelty Cap'N Crunch variations?). Also, this particular location has great, friendly service. It's been pretty consistent over the years, which tells me that they are well-managed.

The staff are always welcoming and easy to find; my most recent trip I had an amazing experience with AJ who was super friendly and helpful. I have also been really impressed with their health and wellness section and hope to see it continue to expand. A great local option that I'm grateful to have in the neighborhood!
