Thanks to angel sitters, my little girl had a mid-day visit and bathroom break, and she was able to stay in the peaceful setting of her home rather than cowering in the corner at a boarding or day care facility. (I'm writing in pass tense because this was a couple of years ago and my girl has since gone on to rainbow bridge.) These pet sitters are truly angels. The ones I meet in person we're so thoughtful and caring. They make the process very easy and take good care of fur babies.

I was looking for a team that was not only friendly and professional but also capable of handling more complex medical issues if they arose. We have working line German Shepherds, and the team here has been absolutely wonderful with them. One of our dogs had a serious health condition that was misdiagnosed for months at a different clinic. The vets here were able to accurately diagnose the issue and get us on the right track. Professionalism and deep veterinary knowledge are my top priorities (more so than cost), and this clinic checks both boxes--plus their pricing is very reasonable. It's also the nicest, most well-organized vet clinic I've ever been to. What really gives me peace of mind is knowing that if one vet isn't sure about something, they don't guess--they'll consult with a colleague or refer out to a specialist to get answers. It was a bad day to use Local Vet for the first time, but they were so caring and professional…read more So it was Sunday morning and one of our cats was not around like she normally was. I passed it off thinking she had found a tree to climb (she loved being up high), or a grasshopper to chase. Moving on to Sunday afternoon and my wife sotted her outside just laying down in the grass, went and picked her up and it was obvious she was not feeling good. Our vet in town was closed but their voice message suggested we call Local Vet, which we did. They told us to bring her in so they could check her out. When I arrived they greeted me in a friendly and professional manner. All rooms were full when I got there but only had to wait about 30 minutes before they got me into a room. The assistant came in and took down my info, checked our cats weight and temperature and asked some other questions to get a general idea of the cats health and history. Not long after she left the vet came in did a quick examination and informed me our cat was probably not going to make it. She had a tick borne infection that was really bad this year in our area. They did a great job explaining everything and said we could try to save her but the odds were not good. We decided to give it a go, so they took her back to do bloodwork, X-rays and some other screening work. A few minutes later the vet came back to tell me she was going downhill fast and had had a seizure while they were doing the testing on her. As he was telling me all this, the assistant knocked at the door and told us she had passed. Both the vet and the assistant were really compassionate and caring. They made the whole experience less stressful and upsetting for me and really made me feel like they cared. Like I mentioned at the start not a great way to get to know a business the first time you use them but they certainly get my appreciation and probably more of my business in the future.
