I love small cakes. They have locations in the southeast, and I'm always happy with the variety of original flavors.

I needed a little sweet something, and I saw this cutesy shop as I was crossing the street with the…read morewarm colors. I was looking for a brownie, not too sweet. And to my surprise, it was more than I was expecting. It was an old-fashioned brownie with the edges--you know, the chewy sides with a touch of burnt edges that we all loved. Also, they make cakes, and I loved the pretty green one. So I got a bit nosy, asking questions, and found that this is a full bakery. Yes, you can stop in and get a slice of cake, pies, and all kinds of delicious treats like brownies and cupcakes. But you can also order a whole cake. I like to say specialty cakes because they have flavors like the pretty Key Lime Cake with cream cheese icing on the outside and green on the inside. Another one that stands out is the Butter Pecan Cheesecake, Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake, or the Sweet Potato Red Velvet Custard Pie. It's truly a dessert paradise. One more thing: they cater to the holidays. If it's Labor Day, there will be treats dressed with the holiday decorations.

So y'all know umma be real. My sis wanted to take a trip to visit this shop. I looked at the…read morereviews and saw bad customer service so you know I didn't want to drive an hour for mistreatment. My sis purchased a red velvet from Shoppers Value when she saw they were sold in stores. She knows I'm not big on red velvet and am partial to the one cooked by Patricia Lyman. So to get me to purchase it, she said it's like Patricia's. The color was spot on but taste wise it wasn't to me. The cake was a little on the dry side. I even lifted the cakes to get the expiration date that was furthest out which was 9/30/25. Even if the cake had been freshly cooked today, there is no way I would even keep a cake in my house for this long. It's lucky to sit a whole week. I will upload locations in Macon these can be purchased from. I ONLY went to Shoppers Value because it was closest. But with the 10% extra charge I do not frequent here at all. My thing is you are not giving me a discounted rate if you charge 10% on top of the other tax. Just charge me regular price off the bat. Back to the cake...there are other flavors such as key lime and strawberry crunch so I recommend you try it for yourself. It would probably make a difference to try these when they are freshly baked. If you want to eat here then take these into consideration…read more Dinning in could be a 50/50 experience. You could either have a wonderful waiter/ waitress serve you. Checking up on you at least 2-3 times during the meal asking how we're doing and keeping the re-fills coming. While on the other hand you could have a waiter/ waitress barely doing the bare minimum. Never checking up on you after the food is brought and never doing refills. I would understand not being able to get to our table if the establishment was busy but during this circumstance on this one occasion there were only at best only 4 tables at the time with customers. Now that's just out right laziness and awful work ethic. I can also understand hating your job and not wanting to be there but that still doesn't excuse the lack of work ethic. Now ordering food to-go at this place I would never recommend anyone doing. I've done it multiple times and every time they've been inconsistent. Whether it be missing the gravy to my country fried steak or completely forgetting the pancakes in the literal pancake meal. They're also absolutely awful at cooking the food to order for pick up. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a longer grace period for when I pick up for the food but that still isn't enough. I end up waiting for another 30-40 minutes on top of waiting the 20 minute wait time that they give you. And again I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. "Maybe they're busy or low on staff" but it's not even close to that. If anything they were over staffed and barely had any customers for the time. With how inconsistent they are it would be faster if you went to the grocery store yourself to buy the ingredients and go home to prepare the food. Least favorite ihop location. As for the staff I know there are at least a couple of great workers there but for the ones that don't give a shit for their jobs. Lock in and do the bare minimum. You chosed to apply and work there so do your damn job.

Our waitress Nikki, I hope I spelled it right was very attentive and professional. I ordered the ultimate as I always do and it was great. The wife had Nashville hot tenders and a waffle. It was really good also. They had the temperature of the restaurant on par. It was cold outside and nice and warm inside. Our experience was a good way to wrap up breakfast for the year. Will be back as soon as we can.
