The sheer volume of items on the floor and shelves makes this place a bit overwhelming, and I couldn't find any organization as far as their books go so if you love a long riffling through heaps of stuff then this is your place, but if you like more of an organized and accessible experience this is definitely a place I would skip. The prices range from a couple dollars, to $7.99 for most clothing, and up depending on the item. I'd say they're asking higher end for things, similar to a current Goodwill. I don't have direct experience with the service as neither me nor my companion purchased anything, but the clerks behind the checkout counter were talking amongst themselves as several people looked at the accessories in the area. Their new furniture store is gorgeous, you can find anything you need from chairs, lamps, pictures, fans, home decor, bedspreads, blankets, vases, mirrors-you name it you can find it and it will be in excellent used condition but also a lot of new items too. Best place to shop although their shoe selection is small (and the only place I found items not in top condition) and their childrens and mens selection is small. (Most people don't think to donate men's clothing or items for some reason, it's basically women.). Women's clothing is not "Maxanista" it's for more mature women but accessories fit all. The biggest issue is that there are no fitting rooms, yet the return policy only allows exchanges instead of refunds. Buying clothing without being able to try it on--and then being stuck with store credit if it doesn't fit--just doesn't work for me. I was also disappointed to learn that Value Village is a for-profit company, unlike Goodwill, which supports nonprofit programs. Knowing that, combined with the fitting room and return policy, makes it hard for me to justify shopping here again. I appreciate Megan's excellent customer service, but these policies were enough that I'll be taking my thrift shopping elsewhere.

After searching the shop for about 30 minutes and not finding my item, the owner arrived and said "let's see if it was sold". She looked on the computer and discovered it had been sold a month ago. (Why the employee could not have done such a search when I arrived was never explained.). The owner then explained that items were "settled" on the 10th of the month following the sale. So, they have known the item was sold (and my money) for many days but could not bother to call or email me to save me a trip.
