She was extremely responsive and communicative in the days leading up to the meal, so we knew exactly what to expect. Beverley arrived right on time, prepared all the courses, and left the kitchen spotless. Most impressively, the quality of the food was outstanding. My husband and I were blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. It was better than restaurant quality--honestly, the chicken might have been the best I've ever had. From the very first bite to the final course, each dish was a visual masterpiece--artfully plated with care--and even more exquisite in flavor. Admittedly, I was skeptical about someone younger being a good cook, but the food did not disappoint. We worked together to curate the perfect menu and each course came out delicious! We also had leftovers which was nice. Chef Kat was also very detail oriented. She set up a mini oasis for a table display and did a good job explaining each dish, how it was made, what's in it, etc. At the conclusion of the meal, she cleaned up really well too. You couldn't tell that someone had just prepared a 4-course meal I can't stress enough how good the food was. it's been over a month and I can still taste the red velvet cupcakes she made us. She did charge a gas fee to travel to me, which I was not expecting and did not know about this fee until the day before the dinner. However, it wasn't exorbitant so I didn't mind too much. It just caught me off guard - especially considering what I was already paying. All in all, it wasn't a big deal and we ultimately had a great experience. Chef Kat made this a perfect date night! Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Leaving this review based on my experience working with Andrea while planning an executive dinner…read more I connected with her through SFPrivateChefs.com, where she's the owner, and after speaking with several private chefs across the Bay Area, she stood out immediately. Andrea was by far the most responsive, easiest to work with, and clearly invested in making sure everything was set up for success. Her menu options were fantastic, and she was incredibly flexible with customizations and specific requests. Communication was seamless throughout -- she was always accessible, thoughtful, and on top of every detail. Overall, a very professional and smooth experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andrea for a high-quality private dining event.

We will not consider her or her company sfprivatechefs.com. My fiancé and I are looking to find a chef for our small 15 person wedding. We emailed if there was a way where we could do a tasting. She said her chefs don't do tastings which is fine. She then continued on are called to say that her chefs 'are far past that' in terms of experience. Once again, we were not arguing for a tasting we just asked if there was a way we could try the chef's food before we hired them for our wedding. She then brought up we could do a small dinner party before the wedding which was a much more constructive idea. As we try to move past the awkwardness of the tasting conversation she then asked us what cuisine we wanted at our wedding. She commented that my fiancés name is Chinese, so you "might want Chinese food" and then she went on to say my name (Danielle) is not Chinese". This came off as incredibly rude to both of us. My fiancé and I are both Chinese, but it was really weird to make assumptions and bring up ethnicity before us even saying what we were interested in. Making assumptions or suggestions about what cuisine a client wants based off their name is extremely unprofessional and we were shocked. We were very uncomfortable after hearing this and decided to end the phone call.
