Wow that was an expensive burger. No wonder they can do 50% off on a Monday the prices are really high to start with.

Um yea, your restaurant is literally…read morecompletely empty at 5pm, but ok if you say so, I will make sure to not overstay my welcome. The menu is half Chinese, half Indian. A nice selection of dishes, some classics and some more modern creations. I had the pani puri shots. You can have them with or without vodka. This is quite a fun appetiser, but could have been executed better. The green water was not mixed properly and the shells were not full. Not bad though. You put the whole shell in your mouth, crunch crunch and then take the shot of green spice water. You get six shot glasses, five with the green water and one with yoghurt and tamarind, although the server called this turmeric, which it was not. The potato bhajia was pretty good, nice and crispy and a large serving. All the sauces are made off-site and purchased from a vendor (they told me). The tamarind sauce was soso, but chilli sauce was good. The mango lassi was a bit small being served in a copper mug, rather than a tall glass. I imagine this lounge is nice looking in the evening a probably the place to be in the local suburbia. But service was a bit inattentive. Literally 10 people running back and forth, but no one stopping to check on you. In an empty restaurant. At least I got a £5 off when downloading the app.

I really wanted to like this place, but there was just one blunder after another. We arrived on a…read moreWednesday night at 7:30 PM. They had one server and she told us that she was the only one working that night and because of that and a shortage in kitchen staff that there was an hour wait for food and that we might want to consider going somewhere else. We elected to stay and put in a drink order. 20 minutes later she came back to take our food order, but no drinks were brought back. We eventually got our drinks and then 40 minutes later she came back and said that they lost our food order and we'd have to re-order if we wanted to eat there. I would've bailed at this point, but my guests agreed to put in their order again, so an hour later we finally received our food. I was not planning on dining at 10 PM. Overall, food was good (I had their meat pie). The place looks and feels like the quintessential English pub. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disastrous dining experience due to a lack of staff.

This is where we ended up for lunch on a warm day after several airline snafus at Heathrow airport…read more The food was outstanding the staff was charming and helpful. The setting is quaint. I had the wild mushroom poached egg toast which was simply outstanding. I also had the tomato basil soup which was very good. My husband had the Cajun chicken on a bun with fries. It was very good. The fries were extra tasty. We had Stoke's Ketchup for the first time and liked that as well. There is seating inside and out. We opted for inside since the front seating is on a busy road. Then we noticed rear seating in a garden and probably would have opted for that, but we had already moved once.
