We couldn't be happier with our new roof. Chris and company did an amazing job replacing our tired, old roof. They added a sun tunnel in the living room and replaced the skylight in our bathroom. We love how fun the guys were while they worked. They were go-go-go but having a good time while they worked and in the middle of a heatwave! Really admire their great attitudes and workmanship. While visiting my mom. I noticed a crack in her roof tiles, I phoned Chris before noon and he showed up at 3, climbed on the roof check the entire roof thoroughly found 3 broken tiles. I had my 1-story home reroofed about 7 months ago with composite shingle. I waited to provide a review until some heavy rains which we just had. I crawled all around the attic carefully looking at all areas including each vent/pipe penetration and NO LEAKS! I expected something from the heavy winds with the rain but found nothing. Their price was similar to other quotes, but went with the high rating here. They found some damaged lumber and plywood and quickly replaced it at a fair price (trim painting is left to me though). The best and honest roofer ever! Search no more, Chris is not only capable, but very honest and reasonable. Five years back, we had a complex roof problem because of a rotunda. Had another company came and did some work, it was very temporary and started leaking again. With a referral, contacted Chris and he got to the bottom of it, explained to us and went out of his way to do a spectacular job to fix the leak. It was not easy, but he was very patient and made sure if he doing it, he's doing it right. We has a small leak after 5 years in the recent heavy rains, contacted Chris and he came right away to take care of that weather related issue. We found some mold in one of our rooms...and mold mean a leak...we called SLO County Roofing to take a look at our roof. Chris came out and got right on the roof. He said that the roof was in great shape and he didn't want to rip up sections until he was sure that there really was a leak. He said that once it begins to rain, we should call him and he would bring out his moisture meter to get a better feel for hat was going on. When I asked what the cost of this exploratory call would be, he said... nothing, not even for his time, as he really didn't do anything but look at the roof. My house needed a complete reroof and all the facia replaced due to rot and bad roofing when they built the house. I called 6 local roofing companies. One never even returned my calls. Two came over, looked at my house, measured it, said they will provide a bid, and never got back to me despite messages I left for them. Three roofers came buy and ultimately provided bids including Chris from SLO County roofing. One local roofing company's bid was $15,000 more than the two other bids for the exact same work. First, Chris returned my call the same day. He came over within a couple days where the other roofers took 2-3 weeks. When Chris initially came over, I was impressed with his knowledge of roofing and local codes and his honesty and ethics. He is a down to earth guy and not a typical salesman trying to get you to do stuff you don't need. In fact, he made several recommendations that made sense and ways to save money without sacrificing quality. I got his bid within a couple days and he communicated with me throughout the project and kept me up to date on the time frame and work. SLO County roofing was not only the most reasonable bid but they included some extras like installing O'hagen vents to help ventilate my attic better. Chris's team were hard workers. His carpenter that replaced all my fascia did such a good job you cant even see the seams. All angle cuts were perfect, made at a rafter, and glued together and nailed. Chris's tile guy is no doubt the best around as he was extremely meticulous, cuts were perfect, and the new tile looks great. The workers cleaned up my property every day before leaving. Based on my profession, I think I have a pretty good judge of character and ethics and honesty means a lot to me, especially spending the amount of money I did on my roof.
