My daughter was delighted to find this place in the mall and had to give it a try. I don't understand the whole slime obsession among the kids these days. But I could see the fun in it when I saw the process there. You choose your base, scent, color and then they mix it in a blender for you. Then you add all kinds of mix-ins and knead it yourself. Finally, you get to add toppers and you get a box to put it in. The place is kept clean despite the messy business it is. There was one employee to help everyone but she was doing her best to keep everyone's wait time low. A little expensive to do it often but can see this as a fun activity once in a while.

We're obsessed!! We were in town visiting for the week and found Slime Kitchen on yelp after looking for activities to do. I have three kids, ages 10, 6 and 3 and this was PERFECT for everyone!! Hands on, engaging, staff was friendly and this made for an awesome experience and souvenir!!!!!

What a fun place! Great for sensory fun for kids and parents. Also we got a free squishy for a review so how could I pass that up?

Stretching out her icee slime

My daughter and I visited the one of their locations in San Jose a few months ago and fell in love with this place! Even went two days in a row. And when we found out they were opening a location in Portland, we were so stoked and became their first customers at WA Square mall. And this place is consistently the same as the other location in San Jose! The variety of slime textures, scents, colors and glitter, and add-in's and charms to choose from are fun & of awesome quality. They even sell their own premade slime textures with fun mix-ins to buy for a friend or as a gift. We did both. And yes, ME and my daughter are addicted. It's not just a kid thing. We were able to also meet the owners and they're amazing people with such a fun passion for slime! Definitely may make this a routine outing.

"Great experience! Fun, creative, and the slime turned out amazing. Highly recommend!"

My kids had a blast!! Such a fine time for them. Pricing is high for the amount of slime you get, but overall we had s great time!

This workshop is small but full of bright colors and farm house vibe with lots of fun projects to do. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff and this workshop started promptly with detailed instructions to explore 20 different scents and discussion of their categories. Both Zoe and Elizabeth were super helpful in guiding us to choose adjacent or complimentary scents for our candles, and the hardest part was choosing only 2 scents to make your candle! You reserved this experience online but you can also upgrade to a different containers (a tea cup or pumpkin - so cute!) and add extra candles onsite. The candle will need at least an hour to 2 hours to set so we were free to walk around Orenco station and got to snack and catch up while our candles were drying. My friend was able to pick her up that night but mine was not set yet so I had to come back during the weekend. They have so many cool projects to choose from and a good selection of beverages for purchase. I will definitely be back with other friends to try out other projects in the future. Check out their website to see if any of their projects will pique your interest!

I looked forward to gaining my associate's degree as efficiently as I could. My optimism quickly diminished as I ran out of money, got tired of doing busy work for what I think of as non-core classes, and began getting D's in math (my downfall in school) after a somewhat promising start. So I didn't return for winter term that year. I went back to my summer job, which turned into a regular job for a calendar year, until a relative opened the door for me to work in the freight business. I worked that for a while, but as accounts flopped and hours grew thin, so did my checking account and I was forced to find other work in a warehouse this past summer. It sucked. And as I lifted a heavy box and tweaked my back just a little bit, "I should go back to school so I don't have to do this shit right now" ran across my mind. Later that week I enrolled in classes nearly two and a half years after I stopped going. After another optimistic start, I've grown tired of PCC yet again. What I'm realizing is the university-inspired workload doesn't match up to their wanna-be university atmosphere. Personally, I'm not in the business of busting my balls for a reading class (yes, they can't intermix reading and writing courses) that's only the second of four courses. Oh, while we're on the whole "intermix" thing, Reading and Writing courses have to be on the same level. Now I'm sure there is an underlying benefit to doing this, but it bums me out I'm stuck at Writing 90 when I initially tested into Writing 115. Also, one thing lacking from the atmosphere is intramural sports. Granted, I'm a sports nut and I'm biased, but I think for being as big as the whole PCC system is, they could humor some of the student body and give us basketball, softball, or flag football, as PCC - Rock Creek has facilities for all three and more. One "plus" I've noticed is I've had professors who I've liked, and professors who I've ranked as "neutral," but I've yet to come across one I don't like. Also, some of the buildings and equipment at Rock Creek are only three or four years old, which is definately a benefit. Although personal opinion spoils the rating, 1 star is what comes to mind when I think of PCC - Rock Creek.

My son (6 years old) is in the Warrior Jr. Program (for 6-7 y.o.'s). He joined about 3 months ago and it has been everything we hoped for. We wanted him to learn how to protect himself and general self respect. We also were hoping it would help to instill life lessons/conversations that we have at home but, of course, helps to hear from someone other than mom and dad. This program does all of that and more! Teacher Randall has been an amazing addition to my sons life. He is the definition of a mentor/sensei. The way he connects with all the kids, is truly invested in helping them learn and grow, and seamlessly can run a class with all levels of focus from all different types of kids is amazing. The class assistant teachers are great too. It's cool to see them grow, as well. Dezmond is now a yellow belt (level 3). He's gotten more focused in class and at home. Also, he's gotten a lot better at speaking to his emotions through this. It's almost like the class is bringing him a lot of clarity on "life." Dezmond also gets to assistant teach the Little Warrior group - which he absolutely loves. I HIGHLY recommended Aim High.

Our twins joined TDLD in 2019: our 3-year long experience with TDLD has met and exceeded our expectations and we were saddened to have left the nurturing environment of TDLD due to my job location change. TDLD offers the best combination of support system needed for working parents: loving teachers, 6:00am to 6:00pm care, onsite kitchen and in-house chefs that prepare gourmet meals 4 times a day, round the year care with closures aligned with Federal Holidays, classroom cameras, daily and weekly feedback through Class Dojo, Go-Home meal service, bilingual English/Japanese medium of instruction and last but not the least the only 5-star QRIS rated child-directed curriculum in the area. If the above is not convincing enough, please allow me to share our story...our twins had GERD due to their premature birth and when we started at TDLD at 15months of age, they suffered from severe reflux and feeding issues. Director Danielle Barth and Teachers Lisa and Becky took this challenge head on and helped our twins outgrow their feeding inhibition with love, patience and perseverance. Our twins went from struggling with bottles to enjoying Chef Daniel's and Chef Nathan's gourmet cooking in no time. We also took advantage of the Go-Home meals to continue the experience at home and it is a boon for families with two working parents. Soon after we joined, the pandemic hit...thanks to TDLD and their dedication not only was there no lapse in care throughout the entire global health crisis but also, they kept the kids safe with no school closures due to outbreaks...Kudos to TDLD management for continuing to support their entire staff throughout the pandemic despite operating with reduced capacity. Loving, nurturing and stimulating environment provided by TDLD has made our twins independent, curious and sociable: we experienced the beauty of this when they were chosen to join Japanese immersion Montessori pre-school (ages 3 to 6) in our new location. Our twins were invited to interview at the Montessori school based on the personalized assessment (collection of work and ASQs) of twins as compiled by TDLD throughout their stay; we are extremely grateful for TDLD teachers and their diligence to document the child's progress from as early as infancy. Our twins' thirst for knowledge and confident well-balanced demeanor as inculcated by TDLD led to them being accepted to join the program after in-person assessment. We had the chance to go back and visit the school after a few months and our twins were so excited to meet all of their teachers (Danielle, Lisa, Becky, Tomoko, Elsa, Lynn, Susan, Aurora, Candy, Katy, Ashley, Cara, Yoko, Simin, Melina, Brennyn, Kim, Rosa, Liz, Brigid, Eigo) and chefs (Danial and Nathan); it was heart-warming to see their interaction with every single teacher at the school... They not only remembered everyone but also had missed them. We cannot thank TDLD enough; they have been our village and helped raise our kids well. We have recommended TDLD to our close friends and family, and hope this review will convince you to consider TDLD to care for your child as well.
