I placed the order online before I even pulled in -- love when that works out smoothly. We did 10 naked wings with honey BBQ sauce on the side for me and 10 Blazin Q for my husband (he was aiming for Snobby Q but pivoted). We also got a large salt & pepper fry and a regular lemon pepper fry to share. Everything was hot, fresh, and fried well. No soggy wings, no limp fries. The inside felt calm and welcoming, and the staff was cool and accommodating. Honestly, it was just a solid visit. Good deal, good food, no stress. Would definitely come back.

They gave us each 6 tenders instead of 5 in the 5 tender meal. The tenders were very big. You could definitely get a 2 tender meal and still be satisfied. The Nashville dry rub was spicier than other places, we liked it. The garlic parm fries were good, but I'm not sure I would get them again, they were really oily. The ranch was really good and I'm happy that the combos come with 2 sauces with no additional charge. The tables were a bit dirty but that might be because they need to be cleaned after every use due to it being a menu of generally messy food. I will be trying it again!

I finally found the time to stop in and sample a couple of items in their menu. I ordered their 1 slider with 1 chicken tender meal with a side of Mac and cheese. Even though I was hungry I ended up taking home 3/4 of the tender and half of the Mac n cheese side. I ordered the sandwich "hot" and the tender "medium" for the spice level. I enjoy spicy-hot food so I found the level of the hot sandwich tolerable. I don't think I could handle the two higher spice levels available. The size of the chicken sandwich filet and the tender were really generous. Served with their proprietary sauce and pickle slices, made for a very tasty meal. I'd put their chicken sandwich up against the other top-rated sandwiches from notable players. Tasty, crispy and served on perfect bun with pickles. I definitely will return to try the other menu items without reservation.

What's even funnier is there's also a new chick Fil A in the same parking lot. The benefit of Dave's Hot Chicken? They're open on Sunday! The locations set up like all the others, so you order at the counter and then they call your number out when the orders ready. I really like the food here because it's actually good. I usually get the # 4, which is a chicken tender sandwich with fries an a drink. I usually stick with the mild or lite mild spice, otherwise it's overpowering. Locations clean, well taken care of and even for a Sunday afternoon there was a steady stream of people coming in and out. I love it!

Went for a second time, despite my last review…read more My son insisted on the chicken fingers again. Daughter required a pepperoni pizza. My wife had the fajitas and I decided on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The food came relatively quick. The chicken fingers were about the same but my son was happy. The pizza was pretty nondescript. I'd compare it to a low grade high school pizza with really nothing to recommend it. My wife appreciated the large size of the fajitas and salad but also found the fajitas unusually spicy. Sadly, the Nashville Chicken didn't really taste at all like Nashville Chicken. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what was expected. The fries were good and we like the seasoning. But that's about the highlight of the night. I think this really will be the last time for me.

By the time we left, it seemed to be a little more busy. I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.

I was welcomed by a nice lady at the register who took my order. She helped me with a couple of questions I had because I wanted to try something new but also wanted to get one of the Mozzarella Corn Dogs. I ordered a couple of tacos this time. Both were on the spicy side but not a lingering, hot spicy...just a quick "bite back" spicy, if you know what I mean. One was a Spicy Pork and the other was Chicken Teriyaki but both had a similar amount of spice. Might have been the sauce used. Hubby ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box. It was really good as well. I like this location as it's closer to me than Troy but both have great service and food.

I grabbed a menu and began my search for my fated dish. Having always been a fan of teriyaki chicken, that's what I went ahead and ordered. The staff, in the little interaction I had was friendly and the food came out promptly. Unlike some teriyaki chicken, this was thankfully not fatty and made for a pleasant dining experience. The avocado was fresh, and the bottled sauces that were included offered incredible flavor! I would say, from the meal, my favorite dishes were the chicken itself the kimchi (which was extra) and the noodles pictured in the bottom right (which I do not know their name). They were cold, which I believe is how they are served but they were really good and meaty! The kimchi was delicious and paired SO well with the dish! My only complaints were with the rice and the drinks. I was not really a fan of the texture of the rice and the soda was a bit flat. Overall I would rate Kimchi box a 4/5. A charming and clean establishment in its own right and I would gladly go back, especially to have some revitalizing food on a cool rainy day!
