We had stopped going to Chicken Delite a few years ago because it was just not that good anymore. After trying other places in the area, we decided to go back and give it a try at Chicken Delite. It is by FAR the best chicken in the area...hands down. Generous pieces, juicy and delicious, the broasted potatoes are delicious, as is the coleslaw. This was my first visit to this establishment. On first was how clean the place was. I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I didn't mind waiting because I didn't order ahead. Now for the food. It was fantastic. I ordered the 12 piece Tub and as luck would have it they had a $5 off on Wednesday. Score for me. The chicken and potatoes are broasted. Yum. The Cole slaw was yummy. I will definitely be back as this chicken tub was way better than Chicken Shack. You have me as a very satisfied customer! Super helpful staff at the counter, and being that they were incredibly cute young ladies didn't hurt. The women helped me navigate the menu, because it was my first time coming here. There are so many options. Unfortunately I do not remember the name of the meal they suggested, but I ended up getting that meal and other dishes, which ended up being the following: 1. Scallop Snack - the deliciously broasted scallops were DOPE AF, coming with a roll and dipping sauce! I couldn't believe how tender the scallops were, and they were not tough from being overcooked; 2. Shrimp Snack - this was probably my least favorite thing I ordered. The shrimp was okay, but there was no "wow" factor to the broasted decapod crustaceans; 3. Lake Perch Snack - the lake perch was also pretty dope. Broasted and delightful; 4. Rib Snack - the 1/3 of a slab was pretty good. Definitely worth trying out if you're down with the swine, which comes with broasted potatoes (super delicious), a roll and sauce; 5. Chicken Tender Snack - These tenders were among my favs! Just cooked super well. They were not oily, they were tender (as the name suggests they should be), and flavorful. I'll DEF get these again with those motherfucking scallops; 6. Chicken Dinner (not sure if that's the name or not) - the broasted chicken is crazy good. Super juicy, tender chicken - legs & thighs. It came with fries (not very good), cole slaw (fantastic!), and rolls. I also got some onion rings, which were pretty decent as well. Overall between the helpful staff, the great menu variety, and the tasty meals this place is certainly somewhere I'd suggest going to. I came in today to grab something quick. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me right away and said 'just a minute I will be right with you' to let me know he saw me even though he was busy. He had a very good and bright energy that lightened the environment. I ordered two pieces of chicken and waited about 10 minutes for it to cook. He then called me over and asked for my name. He said he threw a few extra pieces of chicken in there (which turned out to be double my order) and told me he appreciated my business. I'm really not a fan of quick fast food type chicken but I will be back to support. I get cravings for this place real bad. The chicken tender dinners with broasted potatoes are the bomb. We always call ahead and food is usually ready to go within 15 minutes. Sauces are also great as well. I know there are complaints about the service but they cook the food so dang fast that we aren't really around much to tell if they are friendly or unfriendly. We got home and were surprised at receiving chicken DRUMMIES instead; then, they weren't even plump in size. In my opinion they were the size of a 10 week embryo- small and unrecognizable!
