Amazing ice cream shop with a ton of flavours and a perfect location right across the street from the liftlock. Grabbed our cones to go and sat to watch the boats sail through the lock. Kawartha ice cream is the best.

When you stop by Fenlon Falls you must get some Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream from this place. Open seasonally - this place has most of the Kawartha Dairy flavours you want. I got a Small cone of raspberry thunder for $3.75. It was delicious, creamy and very satisfying.

Fantastic ice cream selection. Good service. Great location by the locks. In the summer you can sit on the patio and enjoy the view.

Review Highlights - Slices N' Scoops

This is a fantastic place to grab an ice cream and watch the boat go through the liftlock system in Fenelon Falls.

Overall, the pie has good flavours (the parmesan adds such a nice salty finish) and the toppings are well spread out allowing each bite to incorporate all the ingredients. While Pizza One has tons of developed recipes, my husband always goes with his custom pizza ($18.50 for a medium): pepperoni, mushroom, onions, and extra cheese. His wasn't as impressive as the chicken bruschetta, the pepperoni were larger slices, which meant they needed to be toasted longer as the soggy centre ends up tasting like bologna. With the extra cheese, Pizza One should consider applying less marinara to ensure the crust doesn't become doughy and soft. They are not a thin crust pizza, but their crust is still slimmer than what's typically found at the chains. The chicken bruschetta's crust was nice and airy, and the bottom lightly toasted until it almost had a Pizza Hut crunch and flavour but without the greasiness and heaviness. I've never had it myself, but my husband claims it's like New Orleans's pizza crust.

Luckily Patrick had not turned off the oven yet and was kind enough to make us a small Donair pizza before wrapping up. They're super friendly and definitely made us feel super welcome as it's our first time in town. We took it back to the hotel so we don't stop them from going home for the day. The pizza itself was absolutely amazing. Perfect balance of toppings, cheese and crust. It's so perfect that even after 4 slices, I don't feel bloated. I really liked the sauce and the wonderful ingredients that make it such a great combination. Definitely need to come in - am sure it's one of the best in town.

One could easily take this meal to go and sit by the lift lock canals to watch boats go by or to the kiddie beach 5mins away. Lots of free side parking or street parking. Menu seems safe/typical and the only thai food in the area, seemed busy enough to try as the pizza/pubs nearby were full on the patio or gross looking. 5* Service was very friendly but slow as it looked to be one waitress taking care of the whole place. We ordered two lunch specials (pad Thai , mango beef curry) and two spring rolls. Tasty yes, but compared to most Toronto Thai it was lacking from garnish and flavour profiles. My friend that suggested this place to me mentioned that, to step up the real flavour you need to ask the chef to make it"real Thai like" but I thought let's see if I don't... 3* Pad Thai- noodles decent, sauce was safe sweet and slightly tangy tamarind, it only came with crushed peanut, some hidden sprigs of bean sprout, a wedge of lime and almost a coriander sprig(so small it could have been parsley greens), eggs were nowhere to be found, and soft pieces chicken. 3.5* Mango Beef curry- made with real curry base and coconut milk but some pieces of beef were hard-chewy and some soft as expected. 2, just 2 chunks of mango found, perhaps the rest of mango got puréed in sauce? The side of rice was the smallest portion I have ever seen, maybe 5 tablespoons so there was more curry than one knew how to eat curry with. 2.5*Spring rolls- ok, typical frozen kind that got deep fried, glass noodles, cabbage, carrot with a vinaigrette of sweet chili 1* Presentation was non existent, it was like being served at home, decent food on a plate that you didn't have to cook. 5* Washrooms very clean If you're in the area and you are not craving burger, pizza, or ice cream, than this place is a nice change. If you're a foodie you must ask for the, "real Thai cooking" for more flavor instead of the safe Thai I got t

The spring rolls tasted and looked like the ones you buy frozen from the supermarket. The sweet chili sause was watered-down. The mango curry dish had two small pieces of mango (hardly enough to call it a mango curry) and the smallest side of rice I have ever seen. On the positive side, our server was extremely friendly and did a wonderful job looking after us. Next time you are in Fenelon Falls, skip the thai.
