First I want to thank them because they have a nurse whose objective opinion probably saved my son…read morefrom undergoing a procedure that was not medically necessary. And as a company they have great potential but are, currently, not utilizing it. Staffing is awful. Think sending a worker three times a week when they are suppose to staff the entire week. Then I find out they have back up policy which means when they could not find a worker to fill the shift staff was supposed to fill in. I have a very serious health status so what that meant for me was requiring assistance to get off the sofa and more pain issues. I also require workers to take pics of where they are in the atrium and noticed multiple days there were no pics, which was indicative of a worker not being there, and medicaid was billed. They also lie at the drop of a hat so probably best to go with a company that actually cares. Also what was really strange is my son has a very serious health status so I was expected to train the worker but then complained that I was interfering with the worker doing their job. Interference on my part consisted of letting a worker know that washing her hands with a bar of soap, sprinkling the soapy water on the floor and passing the mop over it didn't constitute mopping or letting a worker know that washed dishes also needed to be rinsed and admonishing workers that when they were assisting my son with ambulating that they not be on their phones. Remember this was done with me in the home so under no circumstances should a loved one be left alone because workers are absolutely not trained. And this is the incident that resulted in them wanting to discharge my son. A worker confided in me her health status and the medication her physician had placed her on which could easily have resulted in hypoglycemia which can be dangerous and she had transported us. That is not an issue that a client should be punished for but he was. Maybe it will result in us finding a company that is ok with staffing and things will get better. Hopefully.
